DD is also super into the baby. She's been talking to it and telling it all the things they will do together when it's born. One day she started talking gibberish to if. I asked her about it, and she told me "that's how babies talk." So sweet.
October 2017 June Siggy Challenge -- "You Had One Job!"
@aprilsarahjune DH couldn't make it for DD's either. He had duty and wasn't going to be home until the next day, so he couldn't wait. He called after my appointment and I just told him on the phone lol. I just let him decide.
I never have time to catch up on this thread and rarely get to participate. The one day I decided to I see posts about Arby's lol. Gah, I need to find one, even if we have to drive an hour away! Now I'm craving it.
So my cousin announced that she is due the beginning of Nov. My anatomy scan is on the 15th and we will just announce what we are having that day, but she is "finding out" on the 18th (by ultrasound) and will be 14 weeks. She's having a big gender reveal the 20th. I just can't get over doing it so early. They could EASILY be wrong.
@ksf13 I just had a discussion with my SIL last week about how a 14 week scan can't be accurate. She had one done and said "we are pretty sure we know what it is". So I sent her a link about "angle of the dangle" just to prove my point. Luckily, her and my brother had no plans of announcing until their AS.
we are taking DD1 to see Annie this weekend. so i went to make reservations for dinner at a high end Italian place bc i need all the carbs. and the only have reservations available 3 hours before the show. so i think i am just going to drag a 3yo around the city to kill time so i can satisfy my food needs.
I just walked past the classroom I teach in and a ton of my students are sitting outside, nervously cramming before their final in 20 minutes. I love being on this side of finals week!
Ugh, all this talk! My a/s isn't until the end of June. I'll be 22-23 weeks then. We were waiting until then to find out the gender. But between everyone else here knowing their's and the fact that it's 2-3 more grueling weeks longer than originally anticipated, I called to try and get in for a reveal at this u/s place where we will be at this weekend....they are completely booked. Ugly cry big time today.
Aww @mrs_fogue can you try another place ? Or call your OB for recommendations? I'm scheduled for 5/24 (14 days) but being my OB has a machine in her office, I'm praying she'll do a sneak peek tomorrow for me. I don't have high hopes though.
I also just bought a box of wine (my parents are coming into town and we are classy folk). The bump is not hiding today and I kind of wanted the cashier to say something but he didn't.
@mrs_fogue I hear ya! Our scan isn't until the beginning of June. I do have an ultrasound tomorrow, not sure if they'll be able to tell them, but I want to know when my husband is with me. I guess I could have them write it down for us.
I love hearing all stories about the siblings talking to the babies. DS loves talking to the babies. He will give two kisses then wrap his arms around my belly to give them a hug. Last night he said "goodnight, I love you too!" To them. It makes me smile every time. Now if only it will be this sweet 24/7 when they arrive!
@purplestarz I bought some when I was a few weeks out from giving birth last time (hey, December baby means I've gotta do Christmas shopping knocked up) and apparently they just assume it's for someone else, which is nice for humanity.
I bought a case of PBR for DH the other day at WalMart and didn't even get a second look. Then again, it was also WalMart soo.....

Thanks to crap sleep last night I'm driving around between clients drinking my venti iced chai latte. Sorry kiddo, but mama needs her caffeine or she'll lose it.
I also had leftover mexican food this morning for breakfast and I'm going to suggest to DH that we pancakes for dinner because reasons?
June 2017 Siggy Challenge: "You had one job to do!"
I put pickles on our grocery list (I'm obsessed). DH got them, but apparently left them at the checkout. The bagger chased him all the way out into the parking lot to make sure he got them. That bagger has no idea that he probably just saved our marriage.
October 2017 June Siggy Challenge -- "You Had One Job!"
@purplestarz I went to Home Depot yesterday and their hot dogs were literally calling my name. I didn't get one because I already had food at home. But I think I'll pretend I need paint brushes or something and go back up there and get one this weekend because now I can't stop thinking about it.
I'm working from home today. This means I am debating whether or not to get a spa pedicure today or nap during my long lunch break. Please decide for me.
Yikes, I posted from mobile originally. I didn't realize the photos would be gigantic.
@jessirh they are entertaining most of the time, and other times a pain in the butt. On the plus side they are fairly easy to take care of and their poop makes excellent fertilizer for our garden.
June 2017 Siggy Challenge: "You had one job to do!"
I need to go grocery shopping so I'm not forced (tempted) to get McDonald's breakfast every morning.

Currently at OBs office. Almost was late because I was circling the parking garage for 20 minutes! Thankfully I made it with 5 min to spare. Now I'm freezing ( um turn the AC off folks, it's like 55 degrees outside) , thirsty ( because I had planned at stopping at the cafe for water, but thanks to my parking garage adventure couldn't), and tired ( because I never sleep well the night before an appt.)
@brambles23 ahh I love eggs from happy chickens!! One of my SILs has a coop and we are so lucky to get our own egg stash from them.
@buttercream_frosting so what did you decide, nap or pedi??? Both sound like the right choice.
DH bought these blueberry frozen waffles, and they are made of buckwheat. I was skeptical when he brought them home, but i have now toasted 4 of them, and they are amazing.

@jessirh@sjohns908 and @oliveoyl2014 thanks ladies! The test went pretty great, aside from the guy smacking his gum behind me. I just can't wait to finish this degree so that I can go back to work.
