Well, my third (and last) child has all of the most terrible sleeping habits rolled into one. Name a terrible sleep habit and he has it. I am too tired to deal and lazy. Here is my question... he is still swaddled at 6 months. I know!! Is it worth getting the Magic Sleep Suit, or should I just tear the band-aid off quickly. signed, exhausted working-outside-of-the-home mom of 3, with 2u2

I swapped out the halo sack he outgrew for receiving blankets & still swaddle him. I will continue to swaddle, & let him wean himself off of it. I'm hoping for things to take the same route as DS1 took. I kept swaddling & as he got older, he would get his own arms out at night. He would whine here & there sometimes & I'd let him do that for 5 mins max before going to him. ( I cannot do CIO). In time, he eventually didn't care if he was swaddled or not. I knew he was good to go with out it when he immidiately rolled to his side when I laid him down without it. 99% of the time since then (he is 2 1/2 now) he is a great sleeper who STTN unless he is not feeling well.
I feel like I just rambled & didn't make sense, but I guess it was just gut feelings I went with at the time. Whatever I got the impression he needed, I gave him.

We keep him in a sleeveless halo sack now and it seems to be working ok.
