McDonald's fries have been my big craving this time around. I'll swing through the drive-thru on my way home from work and get some, then hide the evidence when I get home so SO doesn't find out. He has no idea how many times I've actually eaten them since I got my BFP
I don't believe in any way, shape or form that stretch marks can be prevented by lotion- all the studies have concluded its mostly genetics- however, last night I ordered burts bees belly butter. Can't hurt, right? *nervous laugh*
I've already started asking DH to get me things when I'm sitting/laying down. Yeah, I could totally get up to get them, but it's good practice for when I'm big and round right?
@dogperson11 id never thought of that! I usually use a business card and floss. @shan24 he would die if hed know how often i eat McDies. Totaly with you on hiding evidence. I eat it on days hes at work, cause i know if a suggest we could eat it when hes home im getting a big fat negative answer, and i make sure the bill and all related garbage is thrown out of the house before he comes back from work lol @OliveOyl2014 its been two weeks. But H sweats cause he only needs sheets and i need a duvet, and this morning ive smelled it *gag* so today is the day i wash them. @bluejeanbabi05 +1 i think im bound to have them because of genetics (also im already cover in rest of them, used to be 240 pounds, now am half that)... Which is why i use coconut oil we bought from costco to cook. Lol
I pee my pants now every time I throw up in the morning...no amount of keagals will prevent this.
Same. It's not like a little pee, either - it's a full bladder emptying. It's pretty awful. Happened with my last pregnancy, too, and hasn't gone away. I will be asking my OB to recommend a pelvic floor specialist after this one.
I'm glued to GMA since Lea Michele is on this morning. I'm a nerd and I absolutely love Glee, binge watch it like twice a year on Netflix. I get so much grief over this from dh and some of my friends

I thought for awhile I was going to escape the belly stretch marks. Nope... they hit about 35-36 weeks.
I also have them bad on my hips, butt, and thighs. Hence why I just want a damn swimsuit that covers those areas but nooooooooo.

One of the agents gave me a 7oz chocolate bunny yesterday. I'm probably going to eat the whole thing today.

There's a new girl at work. I met her Wednesday morning, shook her hand, have NO IDEA what her name is (she told me). The FFFC part is that I don't plan to learn her name. Since I was hired 10 months ago we have had 7 other employees hired and none of them have stated more then 3 months.
@dogperson11 after my first it's just not the same. I can control 99% of the time with practice and exercise but a unexpected sneeze or puking, I just can't brace enough. As the baby gets bigger I know it's going to get worse. Right now as long as I have emptied my bladder recently it's not a flood, but I suspect this summer is going to be rough! I don't know what I'd do if I started puking and peeing in front of my class! Luckily we have till the end of may and then summer break.

Thankfully I've only puked at work once. I ran to the men's bathroom (they have a super loud fan), sat on the toilet, and puked in the trash can. No fun, but it worked.

I mean...I'm not saying it *does* work....but on the advice of a friend in my last pregnancy, I used Palmer's stretch marks lotion twice a day and...*knock on wood*...no stretch marks.
We shall see if I escape #2...

DS woke up from his nap around 3pm yesterday and I threw him in sweats and a long sleeve shirt before making a quick trip to the store. He went to bed in those clothes. He also went to daycare in those close today. Mostly because it's the only clean pair of pants he has right now because his mother is too lazy to throw in a load of laundry.
@natleilynn someone else here, I forget who, said that she alternated Palmer's and burts bees. FFFC: I immediately put both into my Amazon shopping cart and I am debating ordering the palmers in addition.
@shan24@jessdg oh man I guess it didn't really hit me that my belly button will be flat/an outie with my big belly. I have a red scar in my belly button from a laparoscopy this past November; not super looking forward to that being up front and center. Along with the other sexy surgery dimple/scar to the left of my belly button.
YES I remembered an FFFC from earlier this week, thanks to my previous post there. I always think of good ones then forget.
FFFC: I still use my hands to determine my left and right. Left hand makes a pretty L.
looolll i use ur trick when i have to remember my left and right in arabic. Right is 'lemon" i can only remember it when i think im a righty and therefor i would eat a lemon with my right hand.
We have guns in the house. We both grew up in households with guns, we know how to use them (we both have CC permits and in our state, this only comes after classroom education, hands on training time, written & range tests), if they're not on our person, they are locked up.
Judge me if you wish, but we are/already are planning on training our kids on proper care/handling early in life and even at 3, DD knows they are not toys (nor do we have toy guns/weapons in the house), she is not to touch them and we don't give her the opportunity to find them laying around.
I'm aware of the dangers, that accidents can happen. I'm also aware of the dangers that can present themselves to us - we live in a safe area, but our neighborhood got hit with some fairly scary things not long after we moved in and it definitely made me glad to be able to protect myself and my child when DH was out of town.
Flame away.

@natleilynn This makes me love you even more. No flaming from me, promise.
@bluejeanbabi05 I 100% agree that nothing you do will prevent stretch marks and that they are genetic, but that didn't stop me from religiously using palmer's cocoa butter last time around. I didn't get any stretch marks. I'm sure the cocoa butter had nothing to do with that, but you bet I've been doing it since 4 weeks this time around too, just in case.
@dogperson11 I've never used a hair before, but, (this is way grosser) I have, on very rare occasion, bitten a finger nail and used that to get something out. Another much more sanitary option is to fold up a paper towel and use that.
@carries2018 girl, me too. I'm not letting perfectly good food go to waste just because of a stupid hair.
My FFFC (sort of a UO I guess): I side-eye people who swear by baby training programs like baby wise. I fully acknowledge that my skepticism of them is due to the fact that they didn't work for me, but when my friends tell other friends how important it is to get the baby on a schedule right away, buy all these books, etc., I'm just like, "nope."

haha @dajocl I'm glad you still love me. I've lost friends over this subject, but DH and I both feel strongly about it, so it is what it is.
We've since moved to an area where it's a lot more acceptable. I don't have any problem with parents asking the questions - heck, we'll be asking those kinds of questions when DD goes on playdates. I want to make sure the parents are responsible gun owners and I would fully expect someone to ask us those questions before they send their kids to our house. But it's our lifestyle, take it or leave it.

Ok here it goes: DH doesn't have a FB but sometimes uses mine to talk to family. There are zero trust issues, but it sucks that people probably think that. He doesn't use any social media and I wish he did so that I could tag things to him sometimes. Also the biggest reason I want him to get one is because the few times that he posts something, it is flooded with typos, and I don't want to be associated with that. FLAME AWAY

Ahh well I hope people see it the way you do @carries2018 ! I only have one friend that does that (she is the one that refers to her husband as "daddy" and he refers to her as "mama".

@ChocolateIsLife I think that's normal! DH and I have separate social media accounts but we know all of each other's passwords. When we sit on the couch at night we'll trade phones to look at each other's text messages. It's not a trust thing -- the idea of DH cheating is so absurd -- but we're so busy during the day and then at night we sort of like to catch up on what the other one's day looked like. And by the time I get home and DH asks me about my day I can't remember anything that happened so the trading phones thing is fun. People do assume we have trust issues since apparently it's a little rare for spouses to have unfettered access like that but whatever, it works for us.

No flames here. Sounds like responsible gun ownership to me. We have guns that live in a gun safe. DH is a cop and his work pistol comes home every day and goes in the safe. DD (2.5) knows the safe is there and that it's for adults only.
This is something I totally judge: My in laws have a zillion guns and don't lock up most of them. My 4 year old nephews spend about 3/4 of the week at their house. They also let the boys play with play guns that are decently lifelike. It makes me cringe. We rarely visit them (a whole other can of worms), but when we do the first thing DH does is go through the house and collect all the guns and put them in the safe.
ETA: I added a sentence to clarify
haha deft not @ChocolateIsLife i find it endearing. like one doesnt have FB bc of work, or just doesnt want to "get into" social media. but then i know behind the scenes they are totally in it bc they use their SO. like i will be at a party and the one without FB will be like "i loved the pic you posted of the girls" and in my head i chuckle about all the points they are proving not being on FB but still use it anyways.
also deal with it guys i promise i am not dumb (well i am) but sometimes i misspell words on purpose bc i have for the past 4 years. sound it out. deft = def derived from making fun of dreft.
