I miss you guys. Been really stressed out about work lately and giving love tits when I can but hopefully I can be more active once the dust settles at work.
You guys, I was so excited to get to work and be able to post this. I think I scored DD a play date WITHOUT being a creepy stalker weirdo!!
Backstory - DD only plays with boys in her class (because oh yay). She talks about this one boy a lot, "C". The baby class is right across the hall from her class and "C" has a baby sibling (I don't know if it's a boy or a girl, the name is one of those ambiguous names) that they call "Baby H". When we've asked DD if she wants a baby brother or baby sister, she always says, "I want a Baby H!" (Cue us trying to explain that you do not simply go to Babies R Us and pick a Baby H off the shelves).
Anyways, out in the parking lot after dropping DD off and I see this guy with a boy in DD's class and a baby. I hear him refer to Baby H. I go, "oh, so THAT'S Baby H!" We talk a minute, I tell him the story of how DD wants a Baby H and he says C talks about DD all the time and they'd love to have us over for a play date sometime.
I totally played it cool.

I had to result to online local moms groups. We used to have one when my girls were smaller through a major "network" with chapters all over. But they recently got shut down ( and I quit it when DD2 turned like 3 ) I wish there was still something like that around again locally. Because making mom friends are hard and mine are in school. I'm literally starting all over.
@canonmom413 Same - we live in a small country area (close to a big city, but since I commute every week day, I like to stick close to the country on weekends) so there's not a lot of groups like that. I've tried our church but I go to the traditional service (ie, no one my age) and the events I've gone to that were for everyone, the ones with kids seem to kind of have their own little clique already. So that kind of sucks. But I'm determined!

@natleilynn I made a really awesome local mom friend on the bump in my PGAL and PAL days. She lived in the same town. We did lunch and park days often , but then she went back to work. She's a teacher and I SAH during the day. It just didn't work out but we're still FB friends and say hi whenever we see each other around. I'll be the outcast mom at the park looking all lonely and pathetic, haha. I'm secretly or not to secretly hoping one of DD1 or 2s friends moms gets knocked up quickly
DS wiped out this morning and split his eyebrow open on our tile floor. It wasn't bad enough for an ER visit but it will probably scar.

My cat is out of wet food. She's such a spoiled brat. She has her kibble but I had to put her fancy feast wet treats on top because she wouldn't eat it. She only eats it if it has wet food on top first. She thinks she's queen. I guess I should go get her some along with something to make for dinner tonight so my family doesn't disown me.
So are we on for starting a private group on tb? Or has that idea fizzled out?

I want it open to all of our O17 moms without the threat of just rando's lurking. But I'm tired of talking in code and ready to get to know you all a little bit better. We just had major drama this past weekend with my previous BMB where there was a clique and screen shots and people being made fun of. So I'm pretty sensitive to being honest and fair up front. Yet you have to prepare your things, because that's the nature of the BMB beast!

DD1 stayed home today bc she doesnt feel good. i brought her to work and figured id take her out to lunch. i talked myself into panera thinking soup owuld be good for her. now she is crying she wants tacos. as much as i love tacos, my stomach has already committed to broccoli cheddar soup.
Guys I just got home from grocery shopping. I made lunch because I was starving. Grilled a hot dog, had some bread and butter pickles , and strawberries. I'm still freaking starving!!!!
My girls just asked for cupcakes for breakfast and I said "no, we don't eat cupcakes for breakfast" and now OMG I want a cupcake!!! I would totally shovel some in my mouth in the laundry room if we had any.
DD didn't go to bed until after 11:00 last night. It was screaming, yelling and tears by the 10th time she got up for no reason other than to not sleep. I finally laid in her bed, rubbed her back and face and sang songs. And she passed out.
Im exhausted, achy and sore today. I just want to cry. Being pregnant and mom-ing with a threenager is hard guyz.
I just ate a grilled mahi mahi burger ( that I made with the hotdog for tomorrow's lunch). Oh well tomorrow can suck it, that was yummy. But guyzzz I'm still starving!!!
I'm just sitting here counting down the minutes until it's a socially acceptable time to leave work to get lunch, i.e. noon (at my office). 18 minutes to go.
