To touch on what @jessafishy and @bluejeanbabi05 said, sometimes DH and I will be watching a movie and it'll be a Western. He'll be admiring how "simple" things were back then and all the old-timey things people were using. The conversation would go something like this: DH: Wow, look at that. Wouldn't it be great to live back in that time? Me: No. DH: Why not? Me: Because people like me(Latina here) weren't treated all that great in this country back then. One time he even said something like this when we were watching a Western where they literally HUNTED MEXICAN PEOPLE. LIKE ANIMALS. I pointed this out and he assured me that wasn't the norm. Because he would know. I'm not saying it was the norm but latinos weren't exactly welcome back then. I love the man. His ignorance however, not so much.

1) If you don't watch CSI, you don't believe in science. That's just facts.
2) Steak should NEVER be cooked above Medium (MR is ideal). I can't be friends with people who go above that.
3) I understand what you're saying @dumbledoredies. My UO today was going to be "If the *only* reason you're working is because your family needs the money, being a working mom SUCKS."
4) I read something on Facebook that said since Aaron Hernandez died during an appeal of his conviction, that the conviction becomes null and void (Massachusetts State Law?). That would also mean that at the time of his death that he wasn't in violation of his contract with the Patriots, so his daughter is entitled to the remaining $15M on his contract.
Aaron's daughter was at the sentencing of the double murder which he was acquitted for. that was the only hearing she was at. and that was the only hearing he broke down. interesting state law...

I saw this as well, but I highly doubt there's any truth to it.

i feel like the patriots would have a lock down on their contract to not have to release the funds in a situation like this. but as far as his estate goes she probably could get that. but i dont know if the double murder goes to civil court if they can touch his estate or not. i am confused about that. ::pops in the good wife to figure it out::
@carries2018 The Good Wife was SUCH a good show. I feel so much more educated now on law things since watching it. Never mind that I didn't retain any of the specifics.

I saw that same meme about Aaron Hernandez and the money - then I read this comment that made far more sense to me:
This nonsense is so speculative and ignorant of the legal process it is actually insulting that we are even discussing it.
First, the Patriots' liability will be determined through the grievance process. I don't believe the grievances he filed were ever decided. The NFLPA would have to push forth these grievances (doubt they will considering he is a murderer), and an arbitrator would have to decide that there were not "existing circumstances" that would prevent him from fulfilling his contract (i.e. he had killed three people). Some ancient legal technicality is very unlikely to convince an arbitrator that Hernandez did not murder Odin Lloyd, especially in light of his conviction.
Second, why would the PA or the Hernandez estate spend time or money pushing this forward when he is facing three wrongful death suits, one of which (Lloyd) he will almost certainly lose? He was convicted on a reasonable doubt standard. Very unlikely he would prevail on a preponderance of the evidence standard now.
Third, his estate has no money to litigate these claims. Who is going to pay for all of this?
The Patriots having to pay him is completely inconceivable to me as a lawyer. All this is just clickbait. Just my two cents.

Oh! Oh! I have a great UO! I feel like we have developed such a great core group who, I mean let's face it, can't even faux produce drama. I'm ready to start talking FB group. *runs and hides from the tomatoes and other garbage that is likely to be thrown*

And suddenly *insert gif of crickets chirping/awkward silence*
@purplestarz but I have valid points! The Bump forum keeps freezing up my system with their video advertisements, mobile bumpies can post pictures again, it's easier. Lol! Plus I'm just a nosey b*tch and wants to see who's behind the screen name.
-I also don't like dogs. And I have one. I'm living in OCD, germ-freak HELL every minute of every day
-I hate coffee. The taste and the smell
- @Myelhsa I thought "oh yay! Another friend!" when you agreed that you have to watch CSI in order to believe in science. Then...your steak comment....I'm heartbroken
My UO: I don't understand the appeal of crop tops and think they need to go to the land of dead fashions for good.

Look. I love you, but I'm not IN LOVE with you. It's not you...it's me. I'm just not ready for this type of commitment. Plus I still have my suspicions about a few people.
I mean, look at @carries2018! If that even IS your REAL name!!!!
ETA: I would be more inclined to move to a private bump group so we can start sharing a bit more before we take a jump into my history going back to 2005.

This. I think there are still some crazies lurking.

1. I like the private group idea before the fb idea. I fully agree about a great core group but it would get awkward and dramatic fast once we get past the regs everyone recognizes. I think we'll have a better case there further down the road. Private group tho...count me in
2. Steak above medium is nasty. Just go eat cardboard.
3. I happen to be an expert in dragons (GoT) and post-apocalyptic living (walking dead) so if anyone needs help with those topics, I'm your gal.

+1 to the private TB group before FB. Even after the babies are born and this moves to FB, there's bound to be some kind of blow up and a crazy or two will be unmasked. But right now, I'm sure there's a good handful of crazies that still need to be weeded out. I've got my suspicions but only time will truly tell

This doesn't solve my TB-freezing-my-computer-every-5-mintues problem or determining who is secretly a man, but I don't want to be left out.

Oh I totally called the biggest crazy in my last BMB. I had a feeling from the get-go and then she started stalking people, thought it was funny how should could find almost anyone on fb just by things they had posted on TB, everyone thought it was amusing. No peeps. That's legit BSC. Of course she only got worse on FB. Then shit really hit the fan.
