@carries2018 I'm preparing to be judged at both Easter get togethers this weekend for not lifting and taking it super easy(even though we are hosting one). I have a large SCH right by the placenta caused by fibroids, and the doc didn't say bedrest, but I can't lift or walk around too long (or exercise or sex). I'm not sharing with DHs side of family because they will put it all over Facebook, so I'm prepared to get the side eye and judgement that I'm being a baby and that "women were built for this"

@bluejeanbabi05@JessDG@carries2018 thanks for your input, I don't know what she's going through but I hope she knows that I care. She's a suffer-in-silence kind of person so it's difficult to know when she's putting herself out there more than she needs to, and when she's fully in command of the situation. I'll let her take the lead definitely make more of an effort to tell her how much I appreciate her support and efforts once we get to that point.
I just wish no one had to go through losses and if
A paralegal just caught me feeling myself up in my office. I keep squeezing my boobs without realizing I'm doing it -- I've been a proud member of the itty bitty titty committee my whole life and now I have actual handfuls and I can't stop touching them! I tried to play it off like I had dropped something down my shirt but I think that just made him more uncomfortable. Oops
@dogperson11 I used to work in a corporate office in the candy department (yes, that kind of job does exist). We'd get samples of all the seasonal candy. We'd take what we wanted for ourselves and set out everything we didn't want for the masses to claim.
Guess what we always wound up throwing away?

The only good use for peeps is as demonstrated by the "peep show" picture, which I can't put on here because TB is trying to ruin my life. Someone help a girl out.... eta: here we go (did the request mobile site thing)
Just got back from getting some Sweet Frog and I'm side-eyeing whoever it was that was parked beside me (at work) and still had all four bikes mounted on the back of their vehicle. I came THIS CLOSE to hitting one of the tires while I was trying to squeeze my Pathfinder into the parking space next to it.

I'm contemplating gathering up all of the kids' play kitchen stuff, selling it on a b/s/t and getting all new Melissa & Doug stuff. Our current stuff is all 7 years old now and the cheap plastic junk, plus we have WAY too much of it. I have been scouring pinterest for play kitchen storage stuff and I love all the cute things. Now to just get dh on board
@dogperson11, I like peeps too, but less now that I only want salty snacks.
I'm not sure it this is the right place, but I feel extra irked towards the BF every time he says how pleased he is about having "bred" me. If mind bullets were a thing, he'd be a goner.
1) I'm having a busy day at work which is BS because I can't be as active as yesterday.
2) @yasandson@carries2018 Metric system is totally the way to go. Not only do I appear smaller on paper, but I also run further by default (5k vs 3.2 miles).
3) Peeps are the devils snack food and should o let be used for microwave peep wars.
this comes from yesterdays UO, but i felt weird telling my parents i was pregnant after 2 years of marriage. bc now they KNOW i have sex. i like working under the assumption we are all virgins. my parents are, i am, everyone is.
When DH and I got engaged the first question out of his mom's mouth was "is there a REASON you're getting engaged right now?" (we were still in college). So...apparently they thought we had been having sex for years before we got pregnant the first time. We had our first baby after we had been married 3 years. When we told them about this baby her response was "well you know how this happens right?"....MIL is wonderful with tact.
@jesssssrg I purposely don't eat out for lunch when my oldest two aren't in school. I don't like spending the money on 3 kids meals plus myself. And I will go out for breakfast with the youngest because all she wants is a thing of hasbrowns, which are super cheap for me to buy an extra of lol.
I'm also really glad that dh and I have separate money because he would never let me live down how often I eat out, even though I have very drastically cut back since last summer
@natleilynn I'm gonna need you to stop throwing your perfectly placed gifs in my face. Some of us aren't fortunate enough to have those and we don't need you FLAUNTING it around.
Also, on the topic of "damsel-in-distress" pregnant women, my OBGYN told me I have a weight lifting restriction of 35lbs. I literally laughed at her and said, "It'll be better for both of us if you just set some realistic expectations here. I have a toddler, I'm gonna need your raise that number."
FFFC: The thread that's asking people to tell their conception story in five words or less is leaving me with a lot more questions than answers and I'm scared to ask them.
I'm also really glad that dh and I have separate money because he would never let me live down how often I eat out, even though I have very drastically cut back since last summer
True that, and it doesnt help that im out and about around the time im getting hungry so everything sounds delicious
FFFC I like McDonalds a lot. I lived off the dollar menu and kids meals in college and I never get tired of it. It makes DH gag and I get so much crap for it but I love their cheeseburgers and fries.
@dogperson11. I love peeps too and get made fun of by everyone! I love roasting them over the fire pit...so much better than marshmallows! (And now I'm thinking of making DH clean up the fire pit tonight)

Their country chicken is to diiiiie for. And i get tons of shxt for wanting it all the time. I. Dont. Care. Hes just lucky the closest mcdies is too far by walk and we are only down to one car. I sometimes make him bring some on his way home at 3am after shift.
I just growled and shielded my belly from annoying MIL who keeps touching me and saying the baby is hers.
im inches from cutting someone.
loving this thread today though! and I'm deep cleaning our apartment today because it's disgusting, so eff the pregnant handicap! I'm cleaning and dumping trash!
My MIL put hands on my stomach during my first pregnancy twice. The first time she caught me off guard. The second time I saw her coming and grabbed her hands and held them. I told her firmly "you can touch the baby all you want when it's born but you cannot touch me". She was shocked but IDGAF and she never touched me again. It's one thing if I say the baby is kicking and feel here but it's totally uncomfortable to me to have someone just grab. NOPE not happening.

Re: damsel-in-distress My God, that is me! It's not that I can't do it, I'm just a lazy ass. Has nothing to do with pregnancy, I didn't do anything before either. I blame my Father for being at my beck and call until my DH took over. I don't even pump my own gas. I take a nap every day. I realize how this makes me look, but after 31 years I've just embraced that I'm deeply in touch with my lazy-as-hell side.
I swear I am gonna get off my ass to take care of the baby...who is no doubt about to teach me a HUGE GIGANTIC life lesson!

*ED trigger warning * My FFFC is not a fun-sy one. I am secretly pleased that MS and nausea kept weight gain this whole trimester. Yes i care about my baby and eat when I can but wow there is a strong 25% of me that is so thrilled. I also feel like I'm competing with myself to gain much less than the first time round. I step on the scales and feel a huge sense of achievement even though I'm at a healthy weight to safely gain a few pounds.
@buttercream_frosting I am on the scale every morning despite my history of eating issues. Right there with you. I'm eating a lot and not restricting myself at all, so I have my health under control, but I still am scared of gaining weight.
@bluejeanbabi05 I do not ever keep scales at home. I create unhealthy mindsets with those damn numbers. I'm scared too. I never got back into shape and I would be extremely unhappy to go up another size.
@buttercream_frosting that's smart. I should get rid of mine. I tagged you over on the mental health thread if you or anyone else wants to have a conversation around this topic without triggering anyone unexpectedly here. It's a hard one for me as well.
Not looking forward to driving around all day Sunday to see our families for Easter. They live an hour and a half away and we have multiple places to go. I'm looking forward to seeing our family, just hate it takes all day between the drive and visiting. Only thing that makes it better is we are finally telling our extended family we are with child(s) and then we will get it out in the open for the whole world to know after that. Finally.
I am making the signs for my announcement and I need to put an "X" through youngest for DD2 sign. But I'm at a standstill bc I don't know what color to make the X. And instead of just figuring it out bc it doesn't fucking matter I'm sitting here panicking bc I can't even PIP for you guys to tell me bc I'm mobile. No one understands how hard my life is right now.
