Wiping! It seems like no matter how little or much I output and how much paper I use, I still manage to miss some and drop down my leg when I stand up. WTF??

@sweaterboots Isn't it so fun breathing fire all night? My Dr. said I can't just take the Zantac when I feel like it, I need to do it every. single. day. I've tried to make a habit of taking it with dinner, but slip sometimes.
Get the 300mg Zantac, you'll thank me later :-)

@achays11, Sorry about your husband's license. That's definitely extra stress that you don't need right now. Do you have any neighbors that could help out if you were home?

@sweaterboots Have you tried a wedge pillow or elevating the head of your mattress? I used to get horrible reflux at night and sleep with a wedge pillow since then.

WTF to upper management, what do you mean you didn't know you had to update the current year forecast to compare to next year budget. This is the same process we have been using for the last THREE YEARS. Why oh why do I need to remind you AGAIN??!?!?! Oh and learn to use a Pivot Table already.

I take Zantac 150mg twice a day and supplement with tums for breakthrough stuff during the day. My doc is 100% cool with that. Also taking a unisom at night seems to conk me out through some of the less severe heartburn too.

@sweaterboots THIS! I'm on 150 twice a day also. I did some research and Zantac (ranitidine) is one of the better studied antacids in pregnancy and one of the bigger studies was done on this dosage. I also am supplementing with Tums. Damned heartburn. I've never had it ever before this pregnancy, which I am now thankful for, but UGH. How do people deal with this all the time? It's TERRIBLE.

@sweaterboots I think you can, they're designed for those who have to take 2x 150mg, I would just check with your doctor though, don't take my completely non-medical advice lol

@achays11: Just chiming in to say that stinks about his license---it's definitely bad timing all around! Sorry you have to deal with that. And Re the MOTN potential: Are you close to the hospital? Would you be able to take a cab for not too much money?

This is totally irresponsible of me, but if I were in your situation I'd still have him drive. Obviously you have real life consequences and I don't, but I can see my husband doing that. I say that partly because unbeknownst to me at the time, he picked me up for our first date with a suspended license. I didn't find out until later in our relationship when he said "if we get pulled over we're switching because I don't have a license". I should have ran then lol

@achays11 Can he apply for an early reinstatement due to hardship?

I personally would do this too, screw the consequences, H has lost his license so many times that he hasn't had it longer than he has I'm sure.
I would have a different opinion if he had never held a license at all or something, but if there's no other option it's not like he doesn't know how to drive, just that he shouldn't  i know that here most cops are understanding and would probably look the other way if they pulled you over anyway

Thanks for the support ladies! Our lawyer said that we could probably get away with him driving me, even if we happened to get pulled over, but it would basically be another day in court and I'm not willing to do that plus pays any fees associated with that. If it were just restricted, I may let it slide, but it's completely suspended. We are trying to get the judge to say that he can drive me and DD with the restricted license after 5/19 because I won't be able to drive after the baby and DD needs to get to school. If worst comes to worst, yes I could take a cab to the hospital and have him wait at home with DD until someone can get there to watch her.

It's just frustrating because he got the DUI in February and it has taken them this long to suspend his license. They could have done it right away and then he would be restricted and I wouldn't care as much. This is just making me upset with him all over again, and I was finally getting back to a good place.

@achays11 That's a terrible situation and I'm sorry you have to even think about it. Do you know what you're going to do if you go into labor before 5/19? Fingers crossed you don't!
  • Options
The hospital is about 5 miles away from us, so it shouldn't be too expensive of a ride. If I go into labor before 5/19, I'm honestly hoping I'm at work. I think that would be the easiest. I can have a co-worker drive me and then MH can find a way to the hospital. My guess is that it will probably happen before 5/19 and in the most inconvenient way possible.

WTF to the man who yelled at me in the CVS parking lot this morning- only stopping when he noticed I'm pregnant. I was turning left into the parking lot and he was trying to turn left out of the parking lot- he thought he had the right of way. He was very, very wrong- but still came back to yell at me after I had parked and was on my way into the store. He apologized when he realized I'm pregnant, but that should NOT make a difference! Also, he still maintained that I was wrong. Ugh. People.

Yessss. Threats make no difference to her. Or prizes/treats. Basically the child can't be persuaded to do anything!

Bahaha I love her. She would get along great with my DD.

@WombThereItIs @PartiallyDomesticated@ShadeofGreen816 you guys. I took two 75mg last night (didn't have time to run out and get the proper 150mg tablets) and it changed my life. I slept better than I have in ages!!  We even had baked turkey sausage ziti and I'm lactose intolerant and it didn't effect me.  It's a damn miracle. Thank you

    SITB:
i completely missed that you're only taking the 75mg! You can have up to 4 of those. I haven't found I've needed more than 150mg often, but you can definetly take more if it stops working!

It's so different than DD1 who strives on order and routine! They share a room so I can already forsee a Full House moment with tape down the center of the room to divide the neat and messy sides...

Reviving this, because my H deserves it.
This morning he decided to go off and buy a home gym (that we couldn't afford) and now it is in my lounge room after I asked it be put literally anywhere else -.-
that I could deal with. But I am 36 weeks pregnant, with a cold. DS also has a cold, H is fine. So why the F**k is H the one napping on the lounge while I deal with a sick toddler and clean the kitchen?! Ugh! I just want all the strong cold and flu drugs :unamused:

I don't care it's so late for bitching, but I am so over our shared laundry. We have front loaders, which smell like mildew, so our clothes smell. And people don't clean out the dryer lint traps. We. Are. Adults. This isn't college anymore! I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for stinky clean clothes and other people's lint! (And now I whine. Time for bed.)

Try running a cup full of white vinegar through with your laundry, at worst it'll smell like vinegar, but it should  kill the mildew smell

You shouldn't have a vinegar smell because the smell goes away once it's dry :) I wash out towels with vinegar and then baking soda st least once a month to get that musty smell out. Should help with your machine too to clean it out.

+1 on the vinegar! It still sucks that other people can't clean out the lint, but at least your dryer won't smell. I do this all the time and the vinegar smell won't stick around!
