i think that any type of non-Italian meal that uses pasta sounds disgusting. Like buffalo chicken pasta, mexican/taco stuffed shells. gag.

I'm totally with you on the mexican/taco stuffed shells. But don't take my buffalo chicken pasta.

Actually, I'm just not a fan of mexican food in general. I enjoy margaritas and chips & salsa. The closest to mexican food I can do is a quesadilla at Moe's. 

Poor DD, she loves the taco days at preschool. And Dragons Love Tacos (excellent book, btw).

We went to this awesome steakhouse the other weekend and I just couldn't bring myself to order it well done. I tried to be responsible and did medium well...definitely came out medium and I wasn't even mad.

On another note, my last real meal before DD (as in, the night before) was a well done steak at Longhorn's. So I'm adding steak to my list of "go into labor" foods in a few more months.

i am not talking about major diagnoses or anything. but day to day OB/primary/pedi stuff. i just trust the doc. i don't really research other than to google words i have never heard of. i just do whatever they tell me. they are a lot smarter than me with a lot more experience, and i have picked care givers i trust. so you could say i blindly follow them, and i think that is ok.

Why do people think it's safe to let complete strangers babysit? I hate seeing people post on Facebook Indoor Yardsale groups "Looking for an overnight babysitter for my 6-month-old and 3-year-old" and then seeing tons of random people respond. How can you protect your children from sexual abuse and (fill in the blank) if you're literally giving them to the first random person who responds to you on the Internet? The posted ad could just as well be titled "Who wants to abuse my child? I'll pay you!" 

I'm obviously on fire about this today. Wish I could adopt/foster a million kids and provide a good home for them.

i've let complete strangers babysit, i mean i get their names through recommendations. but ive never met them. if you dont have help readily available at your disposal, you are going to have to get a stranger to come in eventually. i didn't know our nanny beforehand.

I actually agree with this 100%. I didn't go to school to be a doctor. I'm not going to pretend to be "Dr. Google Expert" in their field any more than I expect them to be an expert in my field. My expectation is that if I am honest and transparent, they will do what's best for me. If I don't think they will do that, I will find a new doctor.

On the topic of food- I hate fish. Fish is disgusting and I don't know how anybody eats it. I would rather eat poop.

I randomly WAS that babysitter once. I spent one summer living with my brother in a townhouse subdivision. One day I was at the pool and this random couple came over and asked if I'd babysit their kids. Their 3 kids. All under the age of like 4. They lived up the street from us and appeared to know our neighbors and were offering BIG bucks (so to a poor college kid I was all about it). They asked for 7-9pm so they could go out to dinner and the kids would already be asleep. They brought the kids to my restaurant where I was waitressing so they could "meet" me. I got there that night, kids were already asleep and parents stayed out until 1am where the mother came back stumbling drunk.

No idea what happened that night, but refused to babysit for them again. Was definitely the easiest $300 I ever made though. Just sat and watched TV. But not excited about being there 4 hours longer than expected.

but still you don't know what happens from the posting, they probably meet up first, they might have references. And this is the day where you can stalk people like crazy on social media. when i was little i babysat a new neighbors kids, i didnt know who they were and they didnt know me. my town has a babysitting FB page...it is just the times we are living in. they are going to be strangers, but as a parent you vet the best you can.

@dumbledoredies have you ever tried swordfish? It's a splurge, but oh so heavenly.

,I think raw onions should never be consumed. Please stop automatically assuming we all like them and dumping them on my burgers and gyros. Even when you remove them your food still tastes and smells of raw onion.  And I'm assuming so does your breath. I wouldn't know because I try to steer clear of people who i know just ate them, even if they we're also removed.

@PizzaMonster3 nope I don't think I've tried swordfish but I've tried a lot of different types! I've given it a good effort. It's just not meant to be.

My unpopular opinion: I don't see the point of shaving cream. Body wash with a good lather has basically the same effect, right?

@jessafishy I might have to hang my head in shame.  I eat my steaks medium well.  I can handle a little pink but if it's bleeding, I think it could be sewn back on the cow and it live! 

My food OU, I HATE Oreos.  They may be the most disgusting cookie of all time.

I don't use either.  Just jump in the shower get wet and shave.

i dont like long hair on boys. more so bc i dont get why you want to put yourself through that maintenance. it is such a PITA to get the girls ready for bed/in the morning with their hair. and toddlers and food in their hair...baths every flopping night. ugh i am tired. i want a boy or a bald girl.

UO: While I appreciate the new trend in swimsuits that cover more of your midsection while still being fitted... Why on Earth does no one make a swimsuit for a grown woman that actually covers their butt/upper thighs? Is a boy short style TOO MUCH TO ASK?!

Inspired by: IDGAF about people seeing my stomach but I don't want to have to pull out a front wedgie all day long.

@carries2018 valid points I didn't consider! I ditched the cloth diapering whim because I struggle with laundry as it is and I've just got mine + DH to deal with right now... long hair don't care might be short lived lol.

I do this amaaaazing moroccan salad with cucumbers raw onions and tomatoes (all of those cut in tiny pieces) . With a little olive oil salt n pepper. YUUUUMY.... But OH THE BURRRRPS raw onions give you lol. 
+1 on the mexican pasta aaaaand on the well done steak (with ketchup)

If my son has my thin curly hair im doing the same. But if he gets his dads hair, ill be shaving it for the rest of my days lol
