Weekly Appointments 4/3

Figured I would get this started since I have no desire to answer any of my work emails from the weekend yet... 

Plus (AW alert) I am just super excited (and anxious) to finally have my first appt tomorrow. And I think they do an ultrasound in the office.

I have my first appt tomorrow and will be 6w5d. No ultrasound, just more blood work and paperwork. Debating whether DH should go. He offered and is excited...but other than seeing me get a pap (a bit awkward) there won't be much else to see. They said they will try using a fetal doppler to detect heart beat...but I know it will be too early to find it. So that will be a bit pointless.

I have my first appointment on Wednesday at 7+2. I'm just hoping for an ultrasound with good news! DH can't make it to the Wednesday appointment (he can't usually make any appointments), but the attending he is with isn't working this afternoon, so I'm going to call when my doctor's office opens to see if they had any cancellations that I could fit into this afternoon. It's a super slim chance, but I would love for DH to be there with me - particularly if it's not a good new appointment.

First appointment Wednesday! Will be either 9w2d according to LMP or 8w6d by ovulation. I'm actually sneaking into my moms office (she works for an OB) for a quick ultrasound. A coworker walked in on me using the departments Doppler, and she dragged in our ultrasound machine. Pretty sure she found two heartbeats, so naturally I'm panicking and need to know the occupancy status now and can't wait

Yes, finally! My first appt is tomorrow at 7w5d. I have no idea whether they'll do un US or anything, just that it's an hour long appt. DH is coming along, which makes me happy  (even though I have to drive way out of my way to pick him up from work since we only have 1 vehicle). FX to all of us for good news!

That's so exciting, @Roliepoliecoley4! DH would probably faint, but I am (not so secretly) hoping for twins. I would be sneaking in to use the ultrasound too if I was you!

I have an appointment on Wednesday. I'm excited and nervous *TW* as I had blood when I wiped on Saturday. Wednesday cannot come soon enough.

I have my appointment this afternoon to figure out what's going on with the labs.
Last week I complained to the lab about Dr's office being secretive. And the lab lady gave me all my lab reports. So this morning we are going back to the lab office and get Fridays report. I just want to be prepared when walking in and not blindsided.

I can FINALLY contribute!!!  Tomorrow, I have an ultrasound at 9:30am and an appointment with my OB at 10:40.  I can not wait.  Seriously.  I have had a countdown on my phone for weeks and it's finally here (almost) !!!!!

All is well - baby measuring 8.2 weeks. Strong HB. I was a nervous wreck due to minimal symptoms last two days. Even this morning I had minimal breast soreness. Seeing the my 'little malai' just restored my confidence so all mamas going up and down on symptoms just want to share so you feel good about things.

Have second u/s today (8 weeks 5 days). First one was at 6 weeks 5 days and we saw twins with two strong heartbeats.

The problem with that is I've done all my research and know that it is not at all uncommon for one twin to vanish. I'm so anxious and 4pm cannot come soon enough.

Just got back from our first appt! I was so nervous about seeing a heartbeat, as I have been spotting brown every day for te last week. But, we saw a heartbeat! Based on my last period I was 7+3 but the doctor measured the baby at 7+6 today on the ultrasound. Good luck to everyone on their appts. this week!!

Lots of appointments Wednesday! Mine is as well. I'll be 8+2, and I'll receive my second ultrasound to see how baby's progressing. FX everything goes well! Good luck to all having appointments this week!

Yay for lots of appointments today and Wednesday! I had my first ultrasound today at 6+3. We saw the heartbeat and everything looked normal. I definitely cried with relief... I was so nervous yesterday and this morning. Will be following along anxiously to see how everyone else's appointments go this week!

6 w 2 d today and first ultrasound in an hour! I'm FREAKING OUT MAN. Literally never been this nervous before in my life. Is motherhood just an endless stream of love and worry?? FTM so I have no idea what I'm doing.

@kaitieb14 have you read any pregnancy books? I'm pretty anxious most of the time and definitely a worrier. Reading some books really helped me since they give you a good sense of everything that's going on currently and what's to come! I liked Expecting Better, and am currently reading What to Expect and Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy, which was recommended by someone on here. Girlfriend's Guide is especially helpful in a real-world woman to woman perspective for me. It's made me feel more prepared and might for you too!

Yes! I'm reading what to expect and want to get girlfriend's guide. I think my biggest source of anxiety is that of my five friends who have gotten pregnant in the last year every single one of them has had at least one miscarriage.

@kaitieb14 I am right there with you! *tw* I have had several friends recently with negative outcomes and it has me so anxious.

So I went and got my labs. So that I'm mentally prepared. I had 4 hcg test.

So I'm going up just not fast enough.

Yea for all of the appts today!

I just left my 1st appt. I did have as u/s at it showed 8w2d which is perfectly to my date! The u/s tech laughed when I told her my date and then it matched up perfectly. She said that rarely happens.

I liked my new doctor but I will also be seeing high risk docs in clinic along side my regular OB. If I can make it to 37 weeks then I will be delivered by c-section at 37 week. Apparently, after 3 sections it can be risk to let the uterus stretch beyond that point.

I will post my U/S photo to that thread.

1 and 2 were 48 hours. Monday- wednesday
3 and 4 were 48 hours. Wednesday- Friday 

I have three predictions.
1. I read some people just have low hcg and have healthy babies. I have low progesterone so..maybe 
2. Impending miscarriage.
3. Potential ectopic.
I read as long as it's increasing and not decreasing it is a better sign.

And I don't want to sound insensitive but.. my left tube was so dilated that the Dr said I'd never be able to get pregnant. My concern for having the tubal surgery was an ectopic and he I quote said " the surgery will prevent you from an ectopic.. you're more likely to have one with your tube". So I had the surgery in October.
Now I've never been pregnant before and I'm 34...so if it's an ectopic after surgery I'm going to be pissed. Would it have been safer to not have had the surgery and not have kids?
I'll never know.
Sorry that's a rant.

Oh gosh @kaitieb14 that would make me super anxious too, I don't blame you. I'm the first in my close friends group to be pregnant but TW a woman in my book club had to terminate her pregnancy due to spina bifida. Two other friends have had happy and healthy pregnancies though so I'm trying to remind myself of that!

Ill be 8 weeks on Wednesday and first appointment is Thursday! I'm excited but also so nervous I could be sick! I'm just praying everything looks good, hoping this week flies by!

Good luck ladies!

My first appointment is on Thursday  (9 weeks +1) at a new (to me) practice with a midwife.  I have very little clue what to expect since I didn't see a Dr until 13 weeks with DD. I'm trying not to worry but it is easier said than done. Part of me wants it to be Thursday so I can know everything is good but I also feel like I could put it off several more weeks just so I don't have to think about the possibility of bad news. Silly... but I am blaming the hormones.
