Finally posting here! Leo Davey N. born 5/10/2017 at 9:02pm. 5 pounds 2 oz. 19.25 inches. He was born at 34+3 weeks due to PPROM. He is doing great and should be out of the NICU this week! It was a rough 42+ hour labor and eventually I may type it all out, but for now we are just adjusting to life as parents!
Danny Ray Born 5/13 6lbs 8oz Induced at 37 weeks due to low fluid. Labor was crazy fast (doctor didn't even have time to arrive). We are doing well... Trying to figure out breastfeeding.
Zoe Elizabeth was born this Mother's Day at 37+1. She's tiny at 5 lbs 9 ounces but is doing great! Labor was crazy fast, and I didn't even have time to get an epidural, but I did get my VBAC wooo!
Baby Anya Leigh was born 05/15/2017 at 8:24 pm. She weighed in at 4lbs and 14.8oz and was induced at 37 weeks due to IUGR. Labor actually went by quicker than expected and she last minute flipped from breech to head down just in time!
Beau Isaac decided he didn't want to wait until his induction on Thursday, and instead broke my water yesterday morning as we were getting up for church. He was born 5/21 (the day before his brother turns 3) at 3:04pm and is 20" and 7#4oz. He is the quietest, sweetest little guy and an eating and pooping champ.
Hunter Fredrick made his arrival a little early on 5/16 at 37w2d. I went in with what I thought may be early back labor and after seeing some dips in his heart rate dr wanted to induce. I was shocked! I was thinking I was about to be sent home! After holding off on an epidural all night I woke up at 7 am with intense contractions, water broke, pushed once and he was out!
Baby girl made her appearance this weekend (just shy of 38 weeks) after 26 hours of labor. My water broke in the smallest trickle (the Dr didn't even think it had broken until she did the swab) but because of GBS I was admitted right away and started on pitocin (and then an epidural b/c ouch, pitocin!). It took almost 20 hours to get to 5cm where they broke the rest of my water, and after that things went pretty quickly and the actual pushing wasn't too bad. Definitely not the labor I anticipated, but the baby is beautiful and doing so well. We spent one more night in the hospital and are home now adjusting well.
Nathaniel Charles was born this morning at 9:18 am after almost 50 hours of labour and the threat of sending us home for a later induction. 7 lbs 15 ozs and from 3-10 cms in three hours he arrived healthy after fighting gestational hypertension since 25 weeks on! Just so glad he's finally here!!
Sawyer Olivia was born at 2:22 this afternoon at 37 weeks via csection due to gestational hypertension. She weighs 5 lbs 12 ounces and is 18 in long. I was told she was head down, but the docs found her in a breech position. She also had two knots in her cord which is rare and they had only seen it a few times in 40 years, we were lucky they were loose. Csection was rougher for me this time than my first but we are both doing well. Sawyer has been a great nurser!
Luna Raven was born May 31st at 5:43am. She came on 37 week 6 days. Weighing 6lbs 13oz and 19 1/2 inches long. Labour was very fast they broke my water and active labor started at 2 am. If she hadnt come i was to be induced friday because of having cholestasis. She has dark hair like her sister did and looks just like her. She is being monitored in the nicu atm for having wetness on her lungs.
I was shocked and excited that team green became team blue on 5.31.17! Daniel Oliver arrived today at 4:46pm at 39.5 weeks. He was 8lb2oz and 21 inches! We are in love already! After a four mile walk on Tuesday night, my consistent Braxton hicks finally became more painful. I labored at home until around 4:30am when they were 3 to 4 minutes apart and fairly painful. In triage I was only dialated to a 2, so they had me walk around the unit for an hour and re-checked. At 6:30 I was still a 2, so they sent me back home with an appointment to recheck at the office at 1:45pm. Throughout the morning the contractions became quite painful. I kept throwing up throughout labor and had a very difficult time remaining positive. Around 1pm my water broke at home (as I was throwing up) so I went back to L&D and was admitted and dialated to 4. They started an IV and I got an epidural. Just as I was about to try and rest, the baby's heart rate dropped to around 50. So many nurses and doctors rushed in. They put an oxygen mask on me, had me move from one side to the other and try all fours , but after 6 minutes with no luck I was rushed into an emergency c-section. I was put under and DH wasn't allowed in the room which was disappointing (but ended up watching through the window of the door). Daniel needed a couple minutes to cry and respond like normal, but it's doing great now!! He has been nursing like a champ and has several cries and noises already! It was a whirlwind day, but we are thrilled that everyone is healthy! God is good!
Madalyn Elizabeth Mae was born 5/25 @ 9:22am @ 37+0 via scheduled repeat csection due to gestational hypertension and cholestasis. She was 6lbs 12 oz and 19 inches long. She spent 3 days in the NICU because of low blood sugar and difficulty breathing. We are now home and hoping to stay there. She's lost 10 oz since birth and we find out Saturday what the plan is.
Jaxson Keith was born 5/30 at 12:09am weighing 7lbs 3oz. Two weeks early. I had to have a vacuum assist causing him to have slight jaundice which was rechecked today at the doctor (results will be back this afternoon.
Team green turned blue. Hudson Joseph born on May 29th, a few days before my scheduled c section due to preeclampsia at 37+1 weeks. He weighed 7lbs 1oz 20 inches long. Big brother is in love all ready. We are home and adjusting to being a family of 4.
Evangeline Grace Harris made her appearance by emergency cesarean at 8:12 am on June 3rd. She weighed 5lbs 8oz and was 18 1/2 inches long at a gestational age of 36 weeks and 4 days. She made her debut needing no special care and is doing great
Arielle was born on May 30th at 5:43am and weighed 7 lbs 12 oz! I ended up with a c section after 2 complete rounds of pitocin with not enough cervical change, but all that matters is that she is here now and is as healthy as can be! She has far exceeded our expectations. She is beautiful with the most amazing reddish blonde hair and big beautiful blue eyes. She has also done so well with breastfeeding! She initially lost 8% of her birth weight but now she is only down 5 oz so we don't have much more to go. Sleeping on her own without being held has been a struggle but I think it's getting better now that my milk is coming in and she feels more full.
Absolutely love being a mommy!

Cole Hamilton arrived on Monday, June 5th, weighing in at 8 lb 6 oz and 20 inches long. My repeat C-section was scheduled for the 5th at 4pm, but I lucked out and went into labor on my own Sunday night. After 17 hours of labor, I had a successful VBAC at 4:31pm on Monday. We are over the moon and all recovering well!
Lucille Charlotte arrived on Sunday June 4th at 8:56pm. She weighed a surprising 10lbs. 10 oz. and was born after 30 minutes of pushing. She has a full head of black hair.

Waylon Austin was born 8lbs 2oz 21 1/2in on 6/6 at 9:40PM. The induction took about 9 hrs but push time was short. So surprised to join team blue with this little man!
Edmund Theodor arrived on 6/8. I was induced at 8:15 AM, but breaking water and walking wasn't really getting things moving. At 10:15 we started some pitocin, but it wasn't until 12:45 PM that regular contractions and active labor actually began. Things progressed quickly, and our sweet little man was born with two quick pushes at 2:20 PM!
From team green to team blue, little man went 5 days past his expected arrival and would have stayed longer had I not busted out the pump this afternoon. I have been trying everything for a week and half to get this little one out. Put the pump on at 11:20 and headed to the hospital at 3 when contractions were a steady 3-6 mins apart, started to walk over from triage to delivery at 4:07 when my water broke in the hall. I labored in the bed laying down until 4:55 when the midwife suggested another position ( my first time during a labor not laying on my back) I flipped to hands and knees, only I didn't it backwards and then I couldn't move so they've had to really work around me. Started push at 5:05 little man made his arrival at 5:32 - so happy to finally done! Good luck to all you still waiting on your little bundles!
Micah James Scott made his debut yesterday after a long 3 day labor! I Started getting contractions Friday night and met my midwife at the hospital early morning Saturday they were about 2 min apart. Got there walked the parking lot for an hour or two and they fizzled to 15 min apart. We decided to go to breakfast and the park to give it some time and it didn't work at all. Went home and it started back up a little. By Sunday about 1 am they were back and serious, got to the hospital, admitted and worked till about 12 to get them back to regular, because they fizzled again once we were in the room, and my midwife told us to discharge, eat and sleep as none of us had since Friday. I Napped on the way home. Dh fed me while I was basically asleep and by then they were super painful. I took a bath, promptly threw up and immediately started getting pushy. I got to the point where I was telling my husband I was going to have him in the tub and he had to force me to the car. I had to hold back pushing in the car and he was out 15 min after we got to our room. Pushing was the fastest and easiest part! He was born perfectly healthy at 2:15 6 lbs 11 oz 19 in long, exactly the same as I was!! Unfortunatly I am a high bleed risk so the drugs they gave me to not bleed caused my uterus to close before the placenta could come out. They did a d&c and I was put out. Micah was skin to skin with his dad the whole time I was gone and when I came to I learned my boy is a champ breastfeeder!! Congrats to all the mamas on here, and those still waiting- You got this!!
Introducing Claire Maddison. Born 6/13 at 8:02 am. I woke up at 3 am with my first contraction and dosed in between contractions for about an hour when I was convinced this was actual labor. Called my mom to start heading our way. Within an hour I had my husband call a friend to come be at the house in case we needed to leave before my mom got there and called the midwife. My mom got there just as we were leaving. My contractions were never timeable and in the car I was actually fairly comfortable so my husband and I were joking about how it would be funny to show up and be told to go home. Well apparently I was more comfortable bc I was already through transition. We arrived at the birth center around 715 when the midwife checked me and quickly told the nurse not to leave the room. I was 9.5 cms with bulging waters. They quickly got the room ready while my husband and I were laughing about the whole thing, she broke my water and baby immediately crowned. Three contractions on hands and knees and she was out into my arms. Very easy birth and so happy I was able to catch her! We hung out at the birth center for the day and now we are all comfortably home as a family of 4. DS was so excited to meet his baby sister. I am on a total birth high and cannot believe I was so lucky twice!
Margaret "Molly" Claire joined us at 10:48pm on 14 June, weighing in at 7lbs11oz. She was a bit impatient to wait for her scheduled cesarean; my waters broke yesterday afternoon and kicked everything off. She's perfect in every way and I'm in love.
Our little girl was born at 7 a.m. on June 14! Three days early. Weighed in at 8 pounds, 12.5 ounces! The delivery was quick. My water broke at 9 the night before, and we went to the midwifery shortly after 2 a.m.
I thought I wanted a water birth but the tub just wasn't working for me. I was in there for about an hour and I was restless and the bottom was hard. So I got out and was in bed for a bit. Went back and forth between bed and birthing stool after I was fully dilated. They didn't want me to deliver on the stool, but my pushes just weren't as effective in bed. And the last time I was in bed just before crowning, her heart rate slowed. So they gave me a bit of oxygen and I got back on the stool and it picked back up, and I delivered her on the stool. I tore a small amount. Two stitches. It took a bit for the placenta to deliver. In Alaska, the rule is it has to be delivered within an hour after birth or you have to transfer to the hospital. I delivered it with five minutes to spare!
It was so hard, but I'm so glad I had my midwifery center, med-free birth as planned!
Cohen Gregory born 6.9.17 by scheduled c section. Had fluid in lungs and needed cpap for a bit, but we are home and healthy now. 1 week out and i barely feel like I had major surgery a week ago. My team green turned blue and I couldn't be more happy.
I was induced at 6am on 6/16 and she wasn't too excited about being forced out (pitocin didn't do much all day). Ended up with cervidil at 7pm until 7am. Made a few changes but not significant. 6/17 more pitocin, walking and the ball. At 4cm they broke my water and I made it to 8cm. Baby wasn't moving down and engaging stayed 8cm even after increasing pitocin. We decided on 6/18 at 2:30am to do a C-section. She was born at 3:51am and was a huge 9lbs & 3oz perfect little Girl. We couldn't be happier .
