Re: March 2017 Cycle Buddies :)

  • The nurse was so calm on the message.  After she said the HCG number she said it was excellent.  At the end of the message she said, "you're doing beautifully."  I am so confused...I am calling Nurse Becky today.  Gotta get that woman on speed dial.

  • Ohhhhhh! @LoveDontCostAThing I read that wrong. I wouldn't worry but I do think that's a mistake! Or you have 15 babies and you have to share them with us all.

Did you end up calling them back? My clinic posts them to a patient portal so I can check that.

  • I'm glad you got it clarified @LoveDontCostAThing!! That is great
  • Tonight is my 2nd night that my doctor took me off crinone and decreased my estradiol patches to 2 every 48 hours instead of 3. I'm a nervous wreck! They said my numbers were so good that I didn't need that much estradiol and the PIO injections would be sufficient for progesterone. I feel like I am being weened off the meds...anyone else going through this? I'm so used to having these things, I'm afraid my body won't be able to do it on its own.

On a positive note, I just reordered my PIO vials and the lady on the phone had to double check my copay because she just couldn't believe it was actually 0$!! Out of pocket is met and the 'free' healthcare begins!

  • @Irisheyes81 -lol it is funny...here, I am a googling freak going down the rabbit hole, and it turns out Nurse Becky just has a stutter.  This whole process is a mess lol.

@QsMadd -I am sure your body knows what to do!  PIO shots are strong.  I have only been on crinone and one oral progesterone pill this whole time :)  You'll be fine!  If for some reason your numbers drop, they can always put you back on the higher dosage, but give yourself a chance!

  • Hey ladies!  For those of you that got their BFP andbhad cramping before you found out. What was that cramping like? I'm wanting to count myself out just cause some of the cramping feels exactly like AF even though it would be a week before I would start if I not pregnant. Trying it to go cray cray here

To me, it felt like very targeted sharp pinching pains. The first day, it felt like there was a strong pinching on the right side of my uterus and the second day went over to the left. I had cramping (mostly stabbing pains) in my pelvic area....to this day, I still have cramping every so often.

I would say don't let your cramps get in your head. The cramping could be a very good sign that the embryo is digging in for a nice long stay!

For me it wasn't like period cramps at all, it was random sharp pain periodically. I didn't have any period like cramping until a few days ago and even now it's mild and only lasts a short time, but everyone is different and i know women who definitely thought AF was coming before they got their BFP.

  • Thank you ladies! It's very mild- not like when I'm on my period but a similar feeling if that makes sense. I've also had sharp stabbing pains as well! Praying this is good!
  • For me it was just like period cramps... my whole uterus just cramped fairly constantly for a few days. The first two days my cervix was also low and hard (just like a AF), the it move up beyond reach. Still cramps now, but only when my bladder changes shape! FX!

  • @morgan&paul2010 -hey, i've had on and off cramping everyday since transfer.  For me, it's mild and daily, but not constant.  It's not as strong as AF cramping. I might have had a few sharper ones early on, can't remember for sure, but mostly just like a dull achey feeling.

  • @morgan&paul2010 hey there! For me I'm having a really hard time telling the difference between my pregnancy symptoms and the progesterone side effects.
I started my Endometrin Suppositories 2 days after my IUI and right away started feeling crampy, bloated, moody, sore boobs etc.  the differences in symptoms started at about 4 1/2-5 weeks. I could tell were different quick  like cramps in my groin area(like by my leg bikini line) when I would get up to quick or toss and turn at night. But before that daily, just like gassy crampy and then it would pass. Very similar to period cramps. Hehe xoxo hope that helps!
  • Hey all just checking in! Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
The anticipation of tomorrow hit me really hard this morning. Had a good talk and cry with DH before work this morning...and then headed off to work for a busy day at the salon, I'm a hairstylist :) so that was great to keep me distracted for a few hours.  But I would be lying if I didn't say I am completely terrified for my first US tomorrow. DH and I are over the moon to be pregnant,
****TW   But we just don't know any other outcome at this point then the two MCs we've experienced in 2016. I was 7 weeks each time we were told I had what was called a Blighted Ovum MC. We never heard a Heartbeat both times . End TW******
we are so hopeful for tomorrow, and my mom is going with me because DH wants to save all his days for the end of the year. It's just crazy because I know logically what I should do, say, feel etc but these hormones have literally taken over me. Ok sorry for the spew of feelings but I needed to tell you guys what was going on in my head lol. I feel good now I'm home for the rest of the day and ate a yummy pepperoni and mushroom pizza and am looking forward to my ice cream dessert  :p
  • Lots of prayers and baby dust to you @ShyTonia :)

thabk you ladies for sharing your crampy stories with me haha. I am feeling more hopeful and that this could actually maybe be my month!

Oh my gosh listen to this! I'm out of state for my sisters wedding and my hubby isn't coming to town till Thursday. I was FaceTime him this morning and he told he was making eggs and got 3 double yolk eggs and started to freak out. If you remember I had 6 follies! Haha it was really funny
  • Haha!!! That's awesome @morgan&paul2010. The following morning of our first beta I was making us eggs, I cracked the first egg and two yolks came out and laughed. then the second egg cracked open with two more yolks! I brought the frying pan and all into DHs office to show him Lolol
  • @shytonia I have my fx for you!

We will be starting cycle #2 tomorrow. AF came on Saturday and my hcg was 2 on Friday. I go for bloodwork and baseline ultrasound in the morning. As long as everything looks good, we will begin Menopur tomorrow night.

  • thinking of you @ShyTonia!  how many weeks are you now?

AFM, have been doing okay this week with trying to not google as much and be more positive.  I am nervous for tomorrow's ultrasound...like, what if they don't hear a heartbeat?  That's my major anxiety.  I read a statistic that MC probability is like 10% at 7 weeks, so that was encouraging in the sense that it is was lower than I thought.  I am trying my best to be calm...just one more day.

  • Hey all! Soooo great news,  we got to see the very strong heart beat today at 140-150bpm!!! I could not even believe it when the words came out of his mouth!

@LoveDontCostAThing I TOTALLY understand how you are feeling. Yesterday was torture for me. But this morning I woke up feeling like a brand new woman. It's amazing what rest and prayers can do for the mind and body! I am measuring 6 weeks 2 days today. Hang in there my dear and can't wait for you for tomorrow! How far along are you now?
  • @LoveDontCostAThing the odds are so much better at 7 weeks - you've got through the worst already! I've been a bit obsessed with this site...https://spacefem.com/pregnant/mc.php?m=02&d=29&y=17

Obviously there are factors that may push your probabilities, but let's just ignore them.
