I don't enjoy the beach (currently at the beach). My body image issues prevent me from wearing beach appropriate clothes, so I am perpetually uncomfortable. I much prefer a no-sand, no-wind, climate controlled environment.
@jayandaplus I read the series when they first came out and it got me started down a rabbit hole of reading that kind of stuff, I didn't realize how bad they were written until I reread them. Oh and I watched the first movie and it was a HUGE disappointment.
I hate my dog. (I assume this is an unpopular thing to say zsince we have an entire thread devoted to ppl concerned about their dogs after the babies are born)
Let me explain... I had the most wonderful dog for 6 years... She was so sweet and loved to cuddle. I lived alone during college and she was a great comfort but when i got married she started to change and while i was pregnant, she attacked my husband's face. We were worried about her with our newborn so we ultimately decided dd was more important and i found my furbaby a loving home. It was one of the worst days of my life. In an attempt to make it better we researched and found how family oriented goldens are supposed to be so we eventually got a golden. I hate her. All she does is tear up our whole yard, jump all over me but act like an angel when dh is around, and play too rough for comfort with dd. Weve had her in training but nothing works except having dh around but during the day i want to be able to play in our flipping yard. I feel like we couldnt adopt another dog if we found her a home too bc i wanted to have a forever dog but she is just not what i imagined and ive already given it a little over two years. Its especially annoying since dh thinks shes so great but i can barely even be around her alone and i used to have the best companion dog
I read the 50 shades book and I thought they were bad but I finished the series. I saw the 1st movie and it was awful. I'll probably wait until the second is on HBO go and watch it there.
I love eggs!
I have horrible body image as well, which has worsened since being pregnant. I feel fat, very cellulite-y and I think the lack of a larger bump makes me feel gross too. But idgaf bc I'm going to FL in 2 weeks with my SIL both who look fantastic. Whale over here but I need the sun
My potential UO, I love to travel but I always miss my husband and dog a ton when I'm gone. I feel so conflicted. I'm obviously going to have fun, but I still feel sad. I'm on my layover and my husband texts me I miss you already and I miss my daughter, Who is in my belly. I wish I could take them with me
I dislike bras that do not have an underwire and some thickness in the cup. I find them uncomfortable and give me a weird boob shape. I am feel this way even when I am not pregnant and have a modest cup size.
Regarding others: Love eggs. Especially dippy and fried in tons of butter. I have no feelings on 50 shades because I haven't read or watched, but my mom read and enjoyed all the books and just went to see the 2nd movie last night. I don't know why she goes because she has made fun of both of the movies for their bad acting. And I am 50/50 on beach time. I have to really be in the mood and I get bored easily. I also dislike sandy feet. Green olives are awesome (especially on pizza) and black olives suck.
@jayandaplus - I second that! I had someone recommend the first book to me, and I read it before I knew what it was about. I was a little weirded out!
I don't know if this really is unpopular, but I'm over the Kardashians and seeing things about them online. I just DFAG about any of them, or what they do.
I now want eggs. I've been weird about them since pregnant, but they do often sound good. I used to only like scrambled or fried, but now I love a good dippy egg. I thoroughly enjoyed the 50 Shades books. I have not seen the movies, but I probably wouldn't hate them.
I don't enjoy the beach (currently at the beach). My body image issues prevent me from wearing beach appropriate clothes, so I am perpetually uncomfortable. I much prefer a no-sand, no-wind, climate controlled environment.
Aw, I love the beach! I'm biased, though, because I grew up a minute from one. Now I live about 1.5 hours away, and it really bums me out. Every time I go back home, I always have to drive up and down the beach, even if it's winter.
I dislike bras that do not have an underwire and some thickness in the cup. I find them uncomfortable and give me a weird boob shape. I am feel this way even when I am not pregnant and have a modest cup size. ...
Same! I always wear bras with underwire and just a little padding. I have a pretty small chest, so I can't wear anything with too much padding or it just doesn't work (there's not that much to push up). But I've tried unlined bras and sports bras, and I just don't like them. I feel too exposed.
This stems from having a crazy friend, but I think I should be able to sue you for spewing uneducated barely researched articles out on the internet so I will buy your mommy product.
My friend is selling Plexus and she is posting all this junk about how it changed her life and how she had PPD for 3+ years and how she is cured. She is also cured of high BP and some sleep problem she had. She posted an article about how gut health is the key to autism and depression and obesity.
I just can't even with her. It makes me sad because we were super close, but man she has gone off her rocker.
At the same time my mom has some woman from church claiming that essential oils is going to get rid of her flu.
So look, I don't care how much you love essential oils/plexus/whatever if you are sick, think you may have PPD, please go see your doctor.

I think all of these things daily. People on the internet are idiots (excluding you guys, of course).
@Jkp7749 i'm so sorry you had to give your dog away and that you don't love the new one. It really sucks!
I love eggs. Gimme all the eggs. Soft yolk is the best. Benedict is fine too.
Don't really care about 50 shades / Kardashians BUT i am a huge HP fan. I judge people who judge it without reading it. Because i honestly think it's a great 'coming of age' book. Let alone it being so anti-racist and all.
Don't care for beaches either but mainly because i burn super easily (see wedding pics for my very light skin tone) and also i can't stand the heat. I guess my main UO then is: i don't like saunas (because i can't handle. lol). Hot tubs are awesome though. I seriously want one for the new house but maybe in a year or two, when we get more pressing stuff out of the way.
Eggs: scrambled are meh. I'll eat them, but pretty much only when pregnant because the choline is good for baby and I'm too nervous to eat uncooked yolks (which I loooooove).
50 shades: I haven't read it, but from what I've heard, I would be too distracted by the horrendous grammar/spelling to get excited by it. My sister described it as "literotica at a third grade reading level."
Beach: I am also not a huge fan, which is especially a UO considering I grew up on the coast of Florida...haha. I prefer active outdoor activities, so if I'm at the beach I have to be swimming or playing volleyball or something- definitely not into laying in the sand. Also, I'm super pale and happy to remain that way.
Stealing from @thistlenweeds - my UO is that I hate hot tubs. It feels too much like taking a bath with other people and I can't handle the gross protein foam that gathers on top. I don't find it relaxing at all. I'd rather take a hot bath (alone or with DH) with a book and a glass of wine
Fur daughter: 02/2011 Human sons: 11/2015 & 05/2017 *formerly kayemjay*
I am tired of people trying to sell me stuff like @bacorrea mentioned. Some of them I haven't tried, such as Plexus. But the things I have tried (essential oils, It Works, etc) haven't worked for me. I just don't get the same results other people seem to. And it bothers my husband when I spend money on stuff like that.
@emilyalso I feel ya about the beach. I would much rather be a number of other places, even outdoor/nature is fine, but I really don't enjoy ocean beaches that much. Sand is gritty, the sun scorches pale-white me regardless of sunscreen, which I hate having to constantly reapply anyway...swimsuits are bothersome...and there's stuff in the ocean (jellyfish for one).
@Jkp7749 I'm sorry about the dog situation. That's tough.

oh yeah, clarification: i don't care for the ones at fitness centres and such because gross, i meant the personal use ones. It would be a select approved list of participants in the hot tub at all times. Lol
It makes me super happy to see this. I have a ton of allergies, and eggs are one. The smell alone makes me nauseous, but everyone's always "oh, they are wonderful! You are totally missing out! I'm so sad for you!" So, now when anyone says that, I'm going to know that not everyone thinks that, and assume that eggs are factually disgusting! I know. My logic is awesome.
My UO- I don't understand asking for no presents at a kid's birthday party. It's a big thing, lately. I guess to avoid clutter and stuff, but I feel like if I'm going to a kid's birthday party, I want to be able to buy them a present!
I dislike bras that do not have an underwire and some thickness in the cup. I find them uncomfortable and give me a weird boob shape. I am feel this way even when I am not pregnant and have a modest cup size.

Weirdly, I agree with EVERYTHING you said! (Although I did see the first 50 shades and thought it was terrible). Now I want a pizza with green olives...
I also really dislike hot tubs, the Kardashian clan, and people trying to sell me crap on the internet/Facebook.
I don't have my own UO yet...I'm just along for the fun. :-)
I also don't get the hullabaloo about 50 Shades. I will stick to my internet porn thank you very much. I don't need poorly written Twilight fan fiction, I'm 30 not 13.
Eggs are supremely disgusting. My husband cooks 3 every morning and they are the worst.
My UO: I judge the bejeezus out of people who don't get the flu shot. If you have a medical condition that precludes it, OK you get a pass, but otherwise get the frigging shot.

Hollandaise is nasty.
Harry Potter is great for all of these reasons. I reread them maybe once a year, or every other. I'm rereading them now!

YES. My parents don't get the flu shot and it drives me nuts. Even my pharmacist SIL can't convince them.
DH runs the clinic and orders all the flu vaccines. I love flu season because he always comes home with stories the soldiers use to attempt to get out of the flu shot. My favorite this year was "I have a newborn at home so I can't get it" Ummm no, that's just more reason TO get it, duh.

I love you. I reread them regularly too! My Christmas gift last year was a set of audiobooks read by Stephen Fry!

I have the ones read by Jim Dale. I'm super picky about audio books, and I'm in love with his version! I may listen to them while doing house work ALL THE TIME!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves both Harry Potter and audio books! It really makes doing boring things like laundry or a long drive that much more enjoyable. Multitasking for the win! Another one of my favorites to listen to is the Outlander series.
My UO (courtesy of the AW wedding chat): I hate cake! They're beautiful, artistic, wonderful expressions of ... blah blah blah... but taste awful! Large, small, whatever shape, cupcakes even... Chocolate, vanilla, funfetti, nope... Fruit or custard inside makes it somewhat palatable but doesn't negate the cake... And let's not even mention the 6 inches of buttercream on top everyone goes ga-ga over, no thank you... Hmmm... I'll concede, maybe a slice of carrot cake or angel food once in awhile is somewhat tolerable, but if there's ANY other choice for a post-dinner treat (a cookie, a pie, a piece of cheese, sorbet), that's what I'm getting, automatically.
I'm lucky to have married a guy who feels the same way. We had tiers of amaretto cheesecake for our wedding. :-) Now that's a cake I can get behind, any time!
UO: I hate nicknames. If your going to name your kid one name but call them by the shortened version or something completely different from the beginning, then why not just go with that?! Why the need to make your kid say "well actually I go by..."

@hp_momma , I totally agree with you! People keep asking me what we are going to call baby girl (Estelle) for short...uh....nothing? Estelle? It's 2 syllables! I also hate naming a child to have them go by their middle names (my husband is one of them...it was a family tradition that we totally broke with DS). My old boss has a son that she named James John and calls him Jack...seriously? Just name the kid Jack!
@Kipperoo Random side note, I really like the name Estelle. Every time I hear it, I go "Stellaaaaa" in my head. Don't worry, though, I wouldn't do that out loud to an Estelle (unless she was a close friend or something).
In terms of nicknames, I agree that I don't get naming the kid one thing and then calling them something else all the time (like the James John going by Jack example). But I like nicknames that are a shortened versions of the full name. Like William and sometimes calling the kid Will.

Along the food line, I've decided olives are one of the grossest foods ever. My husband opened a jar last night and I had to leave the room.
@MoshiMoshi7 I agree with you there. I've also seen the overdrawn lip, which looks silly especially if not done right.
And also not a fan of the contouring of legs, chest, or tummy area!
