Painting the nursery today, and maybe the guest room tomorrow if we have time. No long weekend for me, it's back to work Monday. DH and I are going out to dinner tonight to celebrate Valentines Day.
We are taking the kids to the park today. I work tonight so I hope to sleep tomorrow. Zoo on Monday.

I need to hit the trade-in event at BRU. After some of what I've read it sounds like it might be a disappointment. My daughter's stroller is 17 years old and I just NOW found a recall for it being an amputation hazard. Oh my gosh! I guess we got lucky. I am embarrassed that I've hung onto it so long.
We are currently trying to think of something fun to do today with the kids. Cleaning and grocery shopping tomorrow and I have a training Monday since students are off, but I am debating taking the day for me to get some stuff done while my two are at daycare and my husband is at work.

I started coming down with something yesterday (thank you, sinus infection that will never end), so this weekend will be pretty low key. I woke up this morning, did yoga, and am now hard boiling eggs for the week. Later today we'll go to Lowe's to pick out carpet (want to replace bedroom carpets before Kait gets here), and then probably work on a sewing project. I'm in the middle of two quilts and recovering the POANG chair for the nursery.
Tomorrow I need to go for a run...I have a race next weekend that I've barely trained for, so I'm sure that'll be horrendous.
My parents are in town and I have to be a tourist and walk a lot. I'm looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time. I completely forgot I didn't have swim class this morning, so I got a little bit more quite morning time without the "go go go" of entertaining my parents, who have more energy than I do.
Dd and i are staying at my parents' house this weekend so I can care for my younger brother (he is dependent due to disabilities) and my grandmother so my mom and dad can go on a weekend trip my older brother and I gave them for their birthdays this year. I'm glad to be able to give them some time away, but also not looking forward to two days with three pretty fully dependent people to care for even though i love them all dearly. It will be fine, just a lot of work to manage a baby, a teenager with disabilities, and a blind 88 year-old all at the same time!
@LAMCH1980 We found out this week from our local BuyBuyBaby that they run the buy back at the same time as BRU! I must say aim a bigger fan of BbB's selection over our local BRUs... maybe this will be an option for you, too! Good luck with your trade-in!
I went and saw 50 shades last night. I must say it's much better than the first movie. I read all the books as well. Not nearly as erotic as the books but it was still good.
I'm about to go get paint and supplies so DH can paint the nursery tomorrow! Then I'm going to my favorite farmer's market for the first time in months (and probably lunch alone). I may also stop by a craft store to decide if I want to spend time this weekend building LO's headband organizer. Tomorrow will be prepping the nursery to get painted and cleaning in general.
Well, our fun outing was to get my son some new crocs for the summer. We go to the "fancy mall" with the croc store...which is gone when we arrive. Take the kids walk around the Disney store, they were doing do well until we left empty handed. Cue double meltdown. Go look for crocs at Dillard's and we had the stroller so we took the elevator. It was so sketchy I thought it would get stuck (I am extremely claustrophobic and elevators are my worst nightmare) cue almost panic attack by me. Finally find crocs that fit him at Nordstroms and the kids get balloons. My daughter somehow takes the weight off hers in the parking lot without us realizing and guess what, good bye pink balloon. Cue meltdown again. To think all I wanted was an enjoyable family outing!!

We took the boys bowling tomorrow. FYI, in case you were wondering, 21 weeks is too far along to be 10-pin bowling. I'm definitely feeling uncomfortable now. DS has a birthday party in about an hour, and then we're just hanging at home the rest of the day. Tomorrow is a work day for me, but then I have the whole week off (it's a vacation week in most parts of New England). We'll probably take DS skiing one or 2 days during the vacation (he got a gift certificate that will get him 2 lessons for Christmas this year), DH and I are going to the Boston MoS one day (thank you teacher discount so we only have to get 1 ticket).
Double stroller arrived today! So happy our Graco snugride clicked right in. Sh*t just got reeaaallll. It's crazy gorgeous outside here in MI. Plan is to be outside as much as possible. Prepping baby's room tomorrow for painting next week when my parents come. Carpet set to be installed March 13th. Things are happening!
edit to add for random info- We went with the heavy duty Jogger because 1) I walk/jog frequently with DS (and now soon to be DS1 DS2) 2) We live in the country on a dirt road 3) My outings/lifestyle usually don't include shopping in malls, sidewalks or narrow spaces haha
I'm sitting around the house waiting for a furniture delivery! It was time to move to a king sized bed in our room, so we spent the morning moving our bedroom furniture to the guest room. Hopefully the delivery comes soon so I can take a nap!
It's so nice here this weekend! My DD stayed at my parents last night and my sister has had her out all day today. My DF and I had to run errands and spent a good amount of time at Lowes picking out paint and floors for our new house. Waiting for my DD to get back and we are going to the park.
Tomorrow is our surprise engagement party that we actually know about. My MIL accidentally included me on the invite list so I got an evite for my own surprise party. It'll still be fun though!
It's winter in Chicago and I'm rocking a tank top and flip flops. It's that nice out and not a cloud in the sky. Also bought a bunch of clothes at Forever 21 to give me some more work options as I grow. Life is good.
We had a chaotic day yesterday. We had about 30 trees fall in our teeny tiny town so a ton of roads are closed and we were without power from 8 am to 8 pm yesterday. We had no water too. A few unluckies are still without power. We are spending the day recovering from that. Unfortunately we were super irresponsible and lazy the night before so our house needed to be vacuumed and we had a ton of dirty dishes. So since there is supposed to be another huge storm tomorrow, were trying to get prepared. Not fun
Mine did with our second and I just remember it never stopped! It leaked at home and until we went to the hospital (we went to subway and hung out for a bit before going).
My question: any tips? Do I buy adult diapers incase this happens again??
@Wino0920 mine broke with my first and I had no idea it would keep just leaking on out. We got to the hospital (I was GBS + so we went right away) I stood up and my shorts were soaked. The intake ladies took one look at me and were like "water broke"? I will prob just bring a lot of towels if it happens again. The shorts/pants will only be worn really from the walk into the hospital.

sounds like lowes is the place to be this weekend we went yesterday and picked up half our supplies, unfortunately leaving half of it there b/c the kid was stupid and wanted to check us out at the self check out area then didn't give us the bag. we then went to home depot for the paint and more stuff and then today i just ran to walmart to get the rollers and stuff i left at lowes b/c it was too far away to go back to get it so ill just go in and return it later in the week when i am around there. DH just sanded the walls today and will be starting the trim and then its a girls paint party on monday since we are off for the holiday. tomorrow is our sex reveal with the moms, i cant wait i second your though @devow27 ....shit's getting real!
@Wino0920 Fellow water breaker here. I definitely took some big towels with me for the cab ride to the hospital and was quite soaked by the time we arrived. I honestly don't think adult diapers would have made any impact - it was quite the mess, and I remember more fluid coming out as I had some (pretty mild) contractions. Ahh, memories....

Seriously though, I love the Boston Museum of Science. We used to go once a year when I was a kid and we were in Boston for Thanksgiving. Do they still have the piano staircase?
I mentioned above that i am caring for my brother and grandmother this weekend as well as my own daughter and pregnant-ass self. Well, it is eight p.m. and they are all in bed asleep already! Now I'm sprawled on the couch bumping and looking for something on tv all by myself. Win.
Mine did with our second and I just remember it never stopped! It leaked at home and until we went to the hospital (we went to subway and hung out for a bit before going).
My question: any tips? Do I buy adult diapers incase this happens again??
My midwife gave me absorbent cloths they use in the hospital (kind of like puppy pee pee pads) which I sat on in the car. I also wore big pads. That seemed to do the trick.
Our plan is to paint the nursery this weekend get the crib put together. I am excited to start getting stuff done. I found a really good deal on a car seat on Amazon and ordered it this week.
I started off the day falling down the stairs twice within 30 min at my moms house. I slipped and fell on my butt and bounced down so I'm fine just a sore back . And how do I do it twice?? We also went to a park, on a walk and played outside today because it is gorgeous out so I am one sore and tired mama.
We went to do normal Saturday stuff (i.e. Groceries), then to the park and now we are the proud owners of a brand new Kirby vacuum, and have spent the last 2 hours watching a demonstration because my husband couldn't tell the guy 'no'.

I think they are called chux pads, you can get them at drug stores. Mine broke at home and made a huge giant mess, but didn't leak too terrible after. I sat on a towel on the way to the hospital and I remember when I stood up to get out of the car it was like it happened again, but then I was fine until we got into the room. My sweats were quite the mess though. Lol
@Stankonia2014 our best friends have this issue...my besties DH can never say no! They too, ended up proud new owners of the Kirby vacuum a few years ago! I mean, it is a sweet vacuum though...
@Stankonia2014 Oh no! That happened to my mother-in-law, too (though she does love the vacuum). I'm sure my mom would fall for the demonstration as well. I am always having to rescue her from salespeople.
I just have absolutely no problem telling them no and to leave me alone. Actually, most of the time I just don't answer the door in the first place.
My water broke too. But instead of the big gush, I got lucky and it broke in pockets, and came out in a steady trickle. I wore a pad, and I remember it working.
