Whats going on this weekend ladies?!?

Im feeling a little down, so I'm not much fun this weekend. I do have dinner and a movie with a couple girlfriends tonight, so hopefully that will brighten my spirits a bit!

I'm getting together with some friends for a yearly Galentine's celebration tonight. Unfortunately, I can't drink margaritas this year. Fortunately, someone always brings chocolates.

I also have dinner and a movie tonight with some girlfriends! But DH took me to a movie last night, too. I was feeling really bummed about not passing my glucose test.

I have 2 birthday parties today. I'm excited to be able to go and not have to wear a coat.

DH is at a training today, so I'm sitting at home binge watching House Hunters Renovations. I cleaned the house last weekend, so I don't even feel guilty about it. I'd never want to do a big renovation, but I love watching other people do it.

I'm also down about failing the 1 hour and trying to stay positive about the 3. DH was so great this am, suggesting we go to our favorite salad bar and go shopping (which he never suggests and he even found a babysitter for DS). Off we go! Hopeful this will lift my spirits and get me on track for really healthy eating this next week. Friday is my scheduled 3 hr!

I'm having some first tri flashbacks this morning. I got halfway through making DD breakfast and had to run to the BR to puke, it was lovely. I think I might just be having a rough time with more hormones or something because I also feel like my belly looks huge this morning.

@OmegaRose3 I've been having a little nausea and upset stomach, too. I've also been massively emotional the past couple days, so maybe you're on to something!

I'm going to pamper myself today! Getting a haircut and a pedicure and also I have to do some studying, my work wants me certified in some software for the next project.

Dinner and a movie tonight with some girlfriends too! I'm actually really looking forward to getting out of the house and enjoying some last moments of child-free time while DH watches the girls. He's about to leave for an extended period of time so I'll be playing the one-parent roll during third trimester, yay

@OmegaRose3 @starphish18: I'll jump on this train... I randomly threw up the other day too. I have an old dog and she's been having a lot of accidents lately (so with this plus potty training a toddler, I've been dealing with a lot of stuff to clean up in this house, super awesome), and the other day I couldn't handle the smell and without any warning it all came back up. It was like a visit from the Ghost of Trimesters Past.

To the ladies who have dates with your girlfriends have a blast! I enjoyed a nice brunch with a good girlfriend of mine the other day and it was so nice to catch up!

@thistlenweeds  enjoy your hair cut and pedi, going to get a pedi next week for the first time in 3 years I can not wait!!!! 


My refrigerator needed some organizing so that lead to me throwing away some stuff which lead to me cleaning every single shelf one by one in the sink with soap and water and dried with a towel! I just couldn't stop it looks amazing now, that took me over an hour. Next on my list is to go grocery shopping, crossing my fingers DD is better behaved today then last week at the store! Tomorrow's to do list is clean DDs room and enjoy a relaxing dinner with DD and DH for an early Valentine's Day celebration!

We are back to working on DD's new room today. We are painting. I was in the room with the windows open for only like 30 minutes, but now I'm light headed. I feel a little guilty about that. These two are super cute working on the room though!

Since I just got back from my work trip I thought it would be a good idea to take DD to get our nails done this morning. Well she couldn't stop moving and after removing the messed up nail polish for the second time, my nail lady refused to do her nails and told her to come back when she's 5. So much for a relaxing little date...

@thistlenweeds, enjoy your pedi! I decided to paint my toenails today and I had to do some maneuvering to reach them. It was a struggle.

Thanks! DD picked pink and purple for her walls so I went with light, calm shades.

Well, my plans for tonight went to crap. On a normal day, I would have brushed this off. But on a day like today, where I'm feeling really emotional, I'm just pissed and hurt. Part of the group I was going out with tonight got mani/pedis today. I said I'd like to meet up with them after, and now I see a picture of them already at a restaurant. So I messaged my friend (the rest of the group are really her friends, not mine directly), who just said "oh yeah, we're at such-a-place now". Ok...so apparently no one felt like letting me know. I honestly don't feel like meeting up with them now. I also don't want to sit here feeling sorry for myself, so I'm trying to come up with alternate plans tonight.

@starphish18 That stinks! I'm sorry to hear that. I sometimes feel just as left out as an adult as I did when we were kids.

@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot: Where did you find it? We were super bummed a few months ago after all the hype and lack of stock everywhere. My hubbs already has all the games on his laptop but it's not quite the same, and the Classic looked cool. But now, it might be worth passing up, b/c it launched so poorly in the U.S. Might just wait for the next console.

@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot Agreed. I only have two friends in town. And this just reinforces that I'm not really a part of this one friend's social group. I should just adopt more dogs.

@SKZW I wanted to get him one for Xmas but it was so nuts that I didn't even try. Today was actually my first day looking. I set up an alert for Target inventory on brickseek.com. I had to drive 30 mins one way across town to find 2 stores with inventory. The first was supposed to have 5. They had 0 and I wasn't the only person there trying to find one. The second store had 1, but I had to ask a worker to find it in the back for me. He did. While I was waiting on the worker, another guy was searching the aisles to try and find one. If today was a bust, I probably would have given up. I'm also not impressed with the release. 

@starphish18 Hang in there. Since having DD, ive found that my mom friends are more reliable than friends who are at other stages of life. My circle has gotten a bit smaller, but I'm so much busier with kid stuff that I don't notice.

I'm sick of being involved in picking a place for my shower. I want it at a restaurant, but MIL wants it at her house, my friend just wants me to pick. MIL emailed me to tell me it's at her house. Blerg. I know I should just be thankful anyone wants to throw a shower but damn. I just wanted a reason to buy a cute dress and have a celebration which isn't going to happen at her house!

All the ladies getting out tonight, have an amazing time!

We had been cooped up for the last couple days due to DD being sick. She's fine now but DH has a man cold and has been whiny about bad sleep. So DD and I did a Target run so the house could be quiet for a bit, plus it was good to just get out.

I was able to do a couple more ertands alone this afternoon so the alone time out of the house, while nothing special, was glorious. However I had 3 salespeople inquire about my pregnancy so I'm like great, I must look huge to them now. I had to get a can of paint at Lowes and the cashier was even like do you need help? while pointing at my belly. No lady, if I can carry a 33+lbs toddler, I think I can handle one gallon of paint.   

Anyways were pretty much freshening up our loft office and assembling our new desks. Exciting times over here y'all!

She is going to be 3 in March. I would have been a bit more annoyed, but I have been going to this nail lady for about 15 years and this is the third time I've tried to take DD. The first time she messed up her nails and they fixed it no problem. This is a place full of Vietnamese ladies, and the second time, DD took some fruit off of their little altar that they have there while I was getting my nails done. I think this was just kind of the last straw. I don't blame them, see you when she's 16!

Jealous of the rest of you going out with GFs... I'm about to start my shift. 

I wanted to share something silly that I'm quite embarrassed about. MH makes breakfast every morning so when he requested I order something to-go, I didn't hesitate. We all pile in the car to go pick it up. I get there and apparently am invisible. So I ask the manager if someone could help me with my to-go order... with a little attitude. He was apologetic for the wait and found someone to help me right away. Then she asked who I spoke with and what I had ordered because NOTHING is ready. WHAT?! I could swear it was her that I spoke to over the phone but wasn't for sure. So instead of making a scene, I stormed off. The manager saw me and asked what happened. I bluntly replied, the order wasn't even prepared. I get back to the car and tell MH all of this... he's pissed and hungry but was glad that I didn't get super upset (which I have the potential of doing at incompetent people that don't do their jobs). So we blow it off and get breakfast somewhere else. Then, I notice missed calls from the restaurant and a voice message asking if I'm going to pick up the order. Seriously?! After a nap and while I was getting ready for work, I checked my phone because I couldn't shake it. Turns out I called a different location! DOH! Now I'm debating if I should even tell MH....

@OmegaRose3 and @starphish18 I'm on the hormonal nausea/vomiting train too! I've had 24/7 nausea almost all week, even a few heaves, and have felt super emotional! I'm actually super relieved to hear I'm not alone! I guess my misery loves company.

DH and I did 3 hours of consignment shopping and totally scored on toys, clothes, and linens! LOVED IT! (#nesting?) Then we went out to lunch, then had friends over for BBQ and now going over to their house for dessert (all I do is eat?) I am EXHAUSTED but this is my only day off, so I have to squeeze in all the fun today. I'm aching all over, nauseated, literally keeping my eyelids open with toothpicks, but I'm doing this Saturday!

@mrsrep123 that is terrible! I definitely did that a few months back. I ordered from a pizza place and then went to a different pizza place - not even a different location, a different company entirely. Luckily I realized in time to pick up the correct meal, but I definitely went into the wrong place and had them looking for my order for a few minutes.

My news is my hair is officially gone. I cried for a few minutes while she was buzzing it but now it's a relief.  I got a wig that is pretty close to my hair color and a bunch of hats. Here I am, big belly and rocking the patchy buzz cut. I actually think I look kind of badass.

Ugh so DD and I both got the flu shot. My brother tested positive for the flu this morning, this afternoon DD developed a fever and a cough. I took her to urgent care and she has all the flu symptoms. Her swab tested negative but the doctor believes it was just too early, so she gave her tamaflu. I hope I don't get it too. I'm ready for summer and no germs!
