Every year my MIL buys me extremely high quality, expensive jewelry and every year it's stuff that I never, ever wear except when she's around. It's just the gaudiest stuff - HUGE and yellow gold (I only wear silver). I have tried so many times to gently suggest that she doesn't need to go so overboard... but she just loves it. I figure I can keep it around if we ever lose our jobs and I can sell it lol. I thought about selling it to pay for IVF but the guilt got to me.
Do it. Wouldn't she rather have a grandchild anyway?
If you post in FFFC, and it's flame worthy, expect a hot ass. It's THE POINT. I wasn't offended @ag90 but the gift regret thing has come up in the past and usually gets about the same treatment. My suggestion is have a nongift giving rule if it's a problem. Yea your confession was selfish and entitled, doesn't mean I don't have similar selfish and entitled confessions... I perhaps just don't feel like having toasty buns today.

@mschanandlerbong1214 Tomi is the reason MH and I got into an argument yesterday. Don't.like.her.at.all.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
I've hit a wall with my tidying up. I'm currently the opposite of tidy -- my entire closet and drawers are on my desk and DH is coming back from his ski trip a day early ... I didn't want him to witness my mess, only my progress! Ugh. On the plus side, I have two garbage bags to donate and one to sell!
Me: 28 | DH: 33 EDD: March 24, 2018 - angel baby at 21 weeks
I think there is a difference between a dumb and kind of selfish thought about gifts and a terrible one like that. I know you weren't actually comparing the two but it sort of seemed like it and that's not the "really crappy" category I want be lumped in with nor do I think I deserve to
Good lord I wasn't comparing the two. I was only pointing out that we do flame people.
ETA - and since you say that you know that I wasn't comparing the two then why even say that?
Alright, alright I admit I'm being overly sensitive and will take a page out of @JJMNO1616's book and put on my big girl pants. I accept my flaming, I can see why it'd be fun, and I guess it was bound to happen sometime. Though I don't think I want to do it myself haha. Unless it was something like the trans bathroom opinion which is just wrong and wtf.
@eggplantface to add to couple-Facebook related hate (sorry, I worked all day and am STILL sick, so I am not eloquent)- there's a girl I went to HS with that lies all the time about how people come up to her and her husband on the street to say what a perfect couple they are, and every status is about how perfect their relationship is. She hashtags every little thing, like "#firstmarriedsnowday". That's not a thing!
She also constantly posts about missing her husband. Because they had to go to work. I have to work so hard not to tell her off. I don't know how much longer I can last.

ive never actually tried to get pregnant. We oopsed our way into both pregnancies. So if I'm ever insensitive it's not on purpose. This is all just new to me. Please don't hesitate to call me out if/when I'm insensitive. This is a learning experience for me.
@mschanandlerbong1214 I have thought about your FFFC a lot today. It is not your fault that your an easy breeder and have oopsed your way into two babies. It is good to have women from different prospectives on this board. That being said as a women who struggles with IF and has been blessed with two beautiful babies but only through years of trying, tears, testing, treatment, loss and is going through it all over again in the uncertain hopes to get KTFU; your statement is insensitive. I truly hope that when you IUD is removed that you get your BFP quickly. There are many women on this board who have been trying for months or are dealing with IF, I eluded to this yesterday. Please read the room.

FFFC: I keep seeing people talking about shamrock shakes and I have no idea what that is or where you buy it. I'm not googling because I don't want a (presumably) green milkshake anyway.
And on the subject of creepy dolls. When I was like 5, allllll I wanted for my birthday was this Baby Talk doll. She said a few phrases and moved her mouth when she talked, and opened/closed her eyes. My parents got her for me and I remember very vividly that I was TERRIFIED of her. Like legit hid across the room from the doll. And the worst part? She'd be put away and then would randomly start talking, so I'd be asleep and hear some creepy ass little doll say "pick me up!" "I love you mommy!" "come play with me!" Nooooooo thankkkkkk youuuuuuuuuuu.
A few years ago I was cleaning some stuff out of my parents' attic and opened a box, and that little creeper was staring at me. I closed the box and immediately left the attic haha. If it was a horror movie she would've said "come playyy with meeee FOREVER" but I wasn't about to give her a chance to go all Chucky on me.
PS this is what the creepy little monster looks like:

I totally sucked at bumping today. I did however find a cool video and of course thought of sharing it with the "girls". Something interesting but totally not FFFC related. Give it a try !

@dragonfly87 LFAF stands for Lisa Frank And Friends (or sometimes Lisa Frank As F*ck). It's a private group of ladies from TB. It's a closed group but we do accept/send out requests for membership when we spot members on here that we think are cool. Usually when you see something unicorn/rainbow themed it's LFAF.
antoto Thank you for the explanation. I was actually worried it was something IVF, loss or related to TTC and didn't to offend or assume something else.
Now that you reminded me, I have a whole container full of high school/middle school memorabilia in my basement. Definitely have a few felt coloring Lisa Frank posters....

I could have been been more clear. We DO think lots of people are cool in general - we just like to make sure they are cool in the way that we are okay with them knowing super personal things about us.

It's a blended private group actually with IF, AL/pgAL, BMB and a lot of misc so you're not wrong... it is all those things.
