@Everycol0r Watch out poking the bear, the BGs are quick with the ban hammer as @antoto can testify. But if you have tips I think we're all interested! @antoto You got a warning on your first day??? What happened?
There was a teacher who posted about how she was hoping that she could give birth at the start of summer because you have that guaranteed time off (as I'm sure you can assume, teachers do not get paid maternity leave. You can use 6 weeks of sick leave but that's it).
A fair response probably would have been like "K that sounds great, but just be aware that getting pregnant isn't always predictable...etc). Instead a ton of people attacked her really brutally and said that she shouldn't even mention that she had that time off because it was unfair to the other women on the board who didn't have that. Then it devolved into people saying teachers got paid for the summer (not true) and that teaching is easy, etc.
So I responded that they were fucking ridiculous because everyone knows that teachers have some form of summer off and what the hell is the point of hiding it? Also teachers do not get paid for the summer (You can choose to have your paychecks during the school year cut by a certain amount so that you can defer that money until the summertime so that you don't go two months with no income), and also fuck off if you think teaching is an easy profession. I am sure some of those women may have had jobs that were more demanding than some teaching positions are, but to completely disrespect an entire profession that is so important to our society - a profession that they relied on to get their far superior jobs - is just messed up.
@BusinessWife I was looking at zulilly last night and they had some adorable cloth diapers on sale and it made me think of you. I almost bought some but I need more CD like a hole in the head.

Interesting. Some of the comments of people who were later banned have disappeared. It's fun seeing @missteacherlady16@brela11 and @PrimRoseMama commenting/lovetitting that thread
@LoveInDC Youre going to appreciate this then. I also love picking. H gets little black heads on his back and I absolutely love picking them. I'll walk into a room with my needle, tweezers and head lamp on and he'll be like- "are you shitting me?" Nope. Turn around.
@antoto Yeah, that's the only complaint when we are reading through old threads is unless a comment was QFP'd we lose some of the good stuff from members who were deleted/banned

@adirat@antoto Ohhhhhh yeah. I'm pretty sure I'd take a baby now even if they told me I was going to have it on Christmas Day in the middle of a snowstorm with no maternity or paternity leave and daycare was going to cost $10,000/month and my water was going to break while on an airplane with the queen of England to be a bridesmaid in 1,000 weddings. And a million times more.
But also @antoto... I'm pretty sure by the time we can start treatments, etc, we'll be right back into having a Spring/Summer 2018 baby. Just a year "late". No biggie.

The BGs went on a couple of banning sprees I think Feb '15 was probably one of them and then again in May when we Nope'd out. And a lot of those bannings too could have occurred over the two years since the thread.

The DS has a whole explanation of what happened. I just remember the "24 Hours of Silence" posts from January 2015 to protest the new TOU as people left. @everycol0r I won an E.T. VHS from some reading challenge when I was in elementary school and I thought it was the coolest prize ever. My little sister insisted on my dad putting it on every.single.day. before he left for work for ages. I later looked up the year it was released and realized that they gave me an old-ass VHS for winning the challenge.
