Thank you for the kind thoughts everyone! ER went just fine but they were only able to retrieve 3 eggs. I am waiting for the call on how many fertilized. I was really nervous, especially after leaving H and heading into the OR but I don't remember anything in between lying back and waking up in recovery. I slept all day yesterday only waking up for lunch and then to watch Zootopia with H at night. I did have an upset stomach in the afternoon but it passed relatively quickly.
Today I feel fine and just a little crampy. I'm still kind of tired so I will take it easy today and then we are going out to dinner with friends tonight. I'm just praying for some good news on fertilization. I feel pretty strongly that we deserve some good news but that's not how it works.
FX for everyone doing transfers this weekend!

We got good news! All 3 have fertilized. This is just one hurdle in a handful but we haven't received a lot of positive news so I was really happy.
@Mando15 We did use ICSI and we are doing freeze all with PGS testing - assuming they make it that far.

@laurad75 so happy they all fertilized! Sending them good vibes!
I am now 6dp3dt and I came down with the flu yesterday! Worst sickness ever and now I'm feeling 70% better just hoping that my constant gettting sick didn't effect implantation! Anyone else get sick during the TWW?
@brela11 I'll start TWW tomorrow but my nurse had a talk about the flu as there's a nasty stomach bug going around. She just said lots of fluids and call if we're worried but said try not to worry hope you're feeling better!!
So we ended up with 1 fertilized egg and we put it in this morning! I saw it on the ultrasound screen and it looks like a white dot. I am excited and scared. I really really really really hope this works.
I heard that laughing after transfer helps so I'm binge watching Please Like Me on Netflix.

@Mando15 thanks! I am feeling some real soreness which I am managing with Tylenol and a heating pad right now, and I'm a little bloated, but otherwise pretty ok. I hope your ER on Thursday goes great!
@Enchilada that number is great! I've had bad bloating too so I've been drinking low sodium V8 & trying to get in good protein.
@rayoflight80 we're transfer buddies! They had me take a Valium one hour before and I couldn't stop laughing. We got to see ours go in too! Science is so amazing. FX crossed for that embaby to stick! Did you do ICSI or any testing?
Hi everyone! I am officially I'm joining the Feb. board after my January IVF cycle got pushed back. Trying to keep track of where everyone is, and keeping my FX for everyone who is already in the TWW
This weekend I began luteal phase priming with estradiol patches and ganirelix. Has anyone ever done that?

Hi all! I've been laying low the past few days because I've been pretty uncomfortable. Had my retrieval this morning - 26 eggs and 23 were mature. We decided to fertilize 13 eggs and then freeze 10. Really happy with my number and now it's just waiting - which is nerve wracking!
@missydallas those are great numbers! Sorry you're feeling uncomfortable. Hoping you feel better soon! Are you guys planning on doing a fresh transfer?

Everyone is telling me to be positive! I'm kind of scared though

Were in the same boat @rayoflight80 . We did ICSI but no testing. When is your beta? I'm going to try to keep myself distracted but it's hard when I'm stuck in the couch.
@missydallas congrats on the great numbers! We have been thinking about the idea of freezing some eggs and fertilizing some because I don't want to end up with too many leftover embryos. Was your doctor good with that? Did you pick the number before ET?
@Mando15 Our ET is tentatively schedule for Thursday too!
@missydallas I am in the same boat. We are planning a freeze all as well but no testing. We are paying for everything OOP and adding $8k for testing just wasn't in our budget. Hoping for minimal abnormal embryos!
@Gatorgirl2009 yay for retrieval date twins! How are you feeling so far?

@Mando15 I have been getting pretty bad headaches and feel like a bloated pin cushion but other than that not bad! Lol How about you? I have an apt tomorrow morning so I should know my ER date for sure hopefully!
@missydallas I meant ER not ET. I think these drugs are messing with my brain!
@Gatorgirl2009 I had an appt this morning and they are having me come back Tuesday AM and they think I'll probably trigger that night. Most of my follicles are between 12-14mm. The headache is real! I just started getting it yesterday. It is brutal!! GL tomorrow!

Things are really picking up around here! So exciting!
AFM, I just checked my insurance account online, and saw that they've approved prior authorization for this ivf cycle! So I'm hoping that my nurse at my RE's office will be able to get to work tomorrow (yay for blizzard #2? lol...) and we can order the meds and tell me when to take my last BCP. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll be able to start stims! Wondering, how long did it take for the meds to arrive once you ordered them?
@brela11 so excited for you!!! Can't wait for an update ❤ our beta will be next Wed (the 22)
@casey8784 ours is connected with a large hospital so I could've gotten my meds the next day, i ran out of one med midway through and I was able to call and pick up the med the same day so exciting!!
@gatorgirl2009 once we got closer to my ER and it seemed like we were going to have a lot of eggs - my RE and I talked about how many kids we wanted (2-3) and he also knew I had hesitation with leftover embryos. He suggested fertilizing 12-15, and then freezing the rest as eggs. After the ER - he talked to us again and suggested what he thought was best (which was 13 / 10 split).
We just got a call from our embroyologist - and 10 fertilized! She said to expect about 50% to make it to day 5 and then we're doing PGS testing. Now the waiting starts - it sucks!
@missydallas wow!! That's awesome!! Yeah, they think I'll have over 20 and I have the same hesitation so I think I'll talk to them today and figure it out. It seems like they have come a long way with rates of fertilization from frozen eggs if we need to go that route later!
AFM, they found my found left ovary today! First time anyone has been able to see it, it is super low so they are not sure if they will be able to get to it to use the eggs, but most of the production is on the right ovary anyway. The think they might be moving my ER up to Wed, but I haven't gotten the official call yet!
@missydallas Yeah, for successful retrieval. Wish you more good news.
@Gatorgirl2009 What is it about left ovaries, mine constantly goes behind my uterus, can make the ultrasounds kind of painful as they try and see it. At least my doctor will do an abdominal retrieval if we need to, hopefully with its enlargement from meds it will end up in a better position. Hoping that your ER goes smoothly this week.
caseyw8784 Yes, such a pain to deal with but such a relief and weight off our shoulders when we can finally begin. Join us in shotland. Meds from the freedom pharmacy came next day, so it was super fast.
on Day 4 of stims. Still feeling pretty good overall, will say I was exhausted at the end of yesterday. Not sure if it was the amount of house cleaning or an effect of the meds. I want the house perfect, since I suspect I won't feel much like house cleaning towards the end of this and during the ER and afterwards.
I look forward to hearing more good news from everyone!
@Gatorgirl2009@stella_700 - omg! my left ovary too! It's always so uncomfortable when they look at it!
@Gatorgirl2009 - my RE said that the success rate of unfreezing eggs is about the same as embryos now - so that def made me feel better about freezing some.
@Aera11 Yup! It's a tough couple days. Actually my beta test is Feb 21 so I have just a week and day to wait, which is great.
My adjustment to the progesterone has been a bit bumpy (I have been having some mood swings). Hopefully the little embryo is attaching right now! FX
