My DH and DS went to the mountains today to go snowboarding. I am home alone til 7pm or so. No clue what my plans are!

Husband is complaining because I asked him to make the baby's lunch today and handle the transition for when our nanny arrives.  I apparently 'sprung' this on him last night when I told him I had to work today.  I'm not sure how much advance notice I was 'supposed' to give.  I make baby's lunch and dinner every day, surely he can handle this - it's not a massive task.  He just wants to know when he will be able to go to the gym...

We're all weathering through the chest congestion plague and the frostbite cold temperatures. Taking down all the Christmas decorations, which is sad and gratifying at the same time.

Oh we don't have an in home gym.  I mean there is a treadmill in the office that I got for free - but he snorts at it.  He lifts weights when he works out - we don't have that kind of equipment at home.

I'm going to my cousins 3rd baby shower. In my circle of friends (and close family) a shower is done for your first baby only. Her kids are 5.5 and just 2, but this one was a HUGE oops and her first were boys and this one is a girl. So while I'm NOT excited to go to yet another shower for her, I do kind of understand (she got rid of all of her baby items, so clearly the guests are helping her provide for her unexpected surprise). 

The plus to going, I get to see family I wouldn't normally see, and I feel like I'm helping her. And my hubby will be home by himself all day with our 2 kiddos - bwahahaha!!!

DD has a throat infection (tonsils are okay) her adenoids are so swollen that her nasal passages are closed. She tested negative for strep, so thats a plus but this is the 3rd time she's had issues with adenoids in the last 6 months. DS has one swollen tonsil and tested negative for flu, so we're on antibiotics! 

Also today is Super Saturday for Plexus and I'm really sad I couldn't go. Maybe next year..

I'm at work all day and it's freezing.  DH and DS are at home, cuddled on the couch, and watching tv.  I'm insanely jealous. And insanely exhausted.  I hate these long stretches at work.

As for me I am at work and preparing everything for our inventory tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it. It's nice having it done because then we know exactly what we have but the process sucks!

I wouldn't have had to work today if I hadn't spent so much time on the bump on Thursday....ehem.....but we won't tell him that!

@mslynn2012 your baby boy is soooo cute!  I love baby boys with curls!!!  My son has big unruly curls and people are always asking if he is a girl.  I cried when my husband insisted it was time for a trim - I just took down the sides and then the next time we gave him a mohawk but I miss the side curls!!

DH got a new shotgun last night so he's been out duck hunting since 5 while I've been laying in our warm bed snuggling the kids. This week has been crazy so it's been nice to be able to sleep in this morning. We probably won't do much of anything this weekend and I'm totally fine with that.

Yesterday, Jan 6, was my 25th bday- quarter of a century y'all- and my son came down with the first stomach bug. Omg terrifying. I didn't realize how much I hate vomit until I had to watch him over an so over. So sad. Luckily he seems to be on the mend but we'll be laying low this weekend!

I can't wait until duck season is over. DH left yesterday and won't be back until next Sunday.

It snowed here today for 30 seconds. Lol. We never get snow really. We took DD out to play in it. She legit got pissed at me because I couldn't make it snow enough to let her make a snow angel.

@ashaw512 luckily DH only hunts about 30 miles down the road, we live in a pretty rural area but I am so ready for duck season to be over too. Mornings are rough enough but then he's gone for 4 1/2 hours while I wrangle kids, it's exhausting.

@mslynn2012 My circle of family/friends call it a "sprinkle" if the second one is a different sex...then it's mainly just clothes and diapers.  I have never been to a third for someone, though...I bet they're super grateful, lol.

I went to a really cute farmers market and got amazing applesauce. It's the first time I've gone out in two months without having to, so I think that's enough excitement for one weekend lol.

@lfk2013 We just recently binge watched it on the NBC app. It is an AMAZING show.  I can't wait for the new episode next week!

My MIL owns a small business. I have to go her company holiday party tomorrow AT 9 AM!  does that sound ridiculous to anyone but me?  DH acts like this is totally normal. It's a holiday party in January!  On a Sunday!  At 9 am!  

MIL insisted on having the party at this (admittedly very nice) restaurant. Apparently by the time she got around to booking, January 8 at 9 am was the only time the restaurant had available.    

Guess we are going to the 7 am church service. For the record, I am NOT a morning person.

@SaphireSweetie88 he got a Winchester SX3. He used to have a Benelli but it broke about 2 weeks ago and he's always wanted a Winchester so I caved and let him get one for his birthday.

It snowed here, so I bundled the kids up and sent them out to play in the snow with DH, then started a fire in our fireplace and I'm snuggled up on the couch watching TV and bumping with zero intention of doing anything else all day

Today some friends and their 4 month old came over for a breakfast get-together. DS (19 months) was totally smitten with the baby! Kept touching his hands and feet and ears, so gently. And giving very very gentle hugs. He would also keep going back over just to sit and smile and look. All day he's been talking about the baby, since they left. It is making us sooo excited to see him as a big brother!

@Twinkiedoll My company just had its holiday party last night, too. I was a little disappointed in it, but I think it was my own fault. We went to a nice fondue place, and it all just tasted 'off' to me. My tastes are weird right now, anyway, so that was probably part of it. I definitely wouldn't have paid the prices they charge, though. Then we had a gift exchange (one of those 'you can steal someone else's gift' kind of parties) and nearly every single gift had alcohol. I ended up with a bottle of chocolate flavored vodka, a gift certificate to a local coffee shop, and a bag of mini marshmallows for hot chocolate (I am a vegetarian, so I do not eat marshmallows)... Also, it lasted until nearly 11, and I am usually in bed by 9:30. At least I got some laughs and companionship out of the night.

I did all my grocery shopping this morning and now I'm back in my pjs on the couch.  DH is in the garage with his mistress.  (A jeep!! Not another woman!) and the girls are playing nicely.  I have to do laundry tomorrow. Yuck.

Dh keeps persistently bothering me all day so far about buying a new tv. There's absolutely nothing wrong with our 60 inch just isn't as great as the new $1000 Tvs out there.

We made breakfast this morning, then took the pup for a long walk. DH goes to work in a bit and it'll be a super late night. I'm planning on getting on the bike trainer, making homemade wonton soup, and curling up with my crochet and Grey's reruns. I'm a total party animal, guys!

Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm respectfully  afraid of you now....  You own a shotgun???

We own multiple shot guns and 3 archery bows. We hunt animals not humans so no reason to be afraid. 

We also eat and use everything DH kills.

Dang it. I lost the only TV with cable to DH and football...all thanks to my bladder. Looks like I'll be watching This Is Us on demand.

DH left for a work trip this morning and I have an almost-migraine and a two week stretch w/o him to look forward to - and it's so. Fraking. Busy at work right now. We were planning on Disneyland today (hello, friends with silver passes!) but it rained here and... well, headaches. DD is bummed so we're going to head out for some ice cream soon.
