DH just showed me this new breast pump that hasn't even been released yet, it's called Willow smart breastpump. Omg, I want it so badly! I HATED being tethered to my breast pump with all the wires when I was pumping for DS1 (I had the standard Medela pump), and then with DS2 I for the freestyle Medela pump that I could hang on my pants and walk around with, which was a lot better! But this new pump! This is a total game changer! I'm impressed. Now company, shut up and take my money!

  • @supermom83, that thing is amazing!! I need one!
  • @GlitterFish almost everything I watch and read with food makes me want the food, but it normally only lasts like a minute, because most of it is food I never eat.

  • Paging @yellow1daisy explain your profile picture to me. I have a Facebook friend who got a cutting board with the exact same picture on it and I could not for the life of me remember why it looked so familiar. Now that I saw your post in another thread I rememberd it was you!

I'm going to guess heisenberg! aka Walter White from Breaking Bad
  • @supermom83 I saw that - that pump looks pretty amazing, and I love that you can track how much you're pumping!
  • @ktewart do some of your own research on calories and nutrition. I actually got a consult with a nutrionalist covered by my insurance. I did not gain 20 by 20weeks or calorie count. I did up my protein intake and only eat full fat dairy. I carried my twins to my scheduled c-section date of 38weeks and gained 35lbs. Both babies were healthy and good weights. My big gesture advice is eat what you can and try to stay active as long as you can. My doctors did not stress me out to gain weight but did recommend adding 15-30g more of protein.

My random is I took down all of Christmas last week and have spent the week getting all the kids toys organized and am not feeling so much more relaxed in out house. Our home isn't super tiny but having 3 kids in about 1100 sq/ft with Christmas decorations was just too much this year.
  • @munchkinsmama, that's actually a super helpful thing to hear. It's tough right now because all my stomach seems able to tolerate is carbs (I don't have morning sickness, but meat seems to set off some nausea), so I'll have to go seek out peanut butter and nuts and hummus and the like for extra protein. I also definitely get enough full fat dairy, since my son also drinks whole milk and yogurt, so that's what's in the house. I really appreciate the advice! I was supposed to gain 25-30 with my son and I gained 27, 9 of which was him and another 8 of which came off in water weight, so the thought of gaining that much more TERRIFIES me (I'm not tiny by any stretch - my body is healthy at a size 10-12). It makes me feel much better that I won't necessarily be hurting my babies if I don't gain a TON of weight, especially since my body doesn't seem to WANT to put the weight on right now (I'm 14 weeks and am up maybe 3 lbs).

  • @munchkinsmama that's so awesome about your nutrition and health with your twins pregnancy! Great story.

  • I've been calling my ob's ultrasound appointment number all afternoon and left a message and they haven't answered or called me back. For some reason I got it in my head that I wouldn't be 20 weeks until March when it's really February. They pushed me to make my appointment a month ago and I didn't. Ugh me!
  • @virginiaunicorn11 great article. We have a huge rule in this house only one type of toy out at a time. It keeps me sain and has taught all 3 kids to clean up. I swear my 18 month olds even  clean up. Anytime I have let the rule go all 3 kids are crazy and forget how to share (Christmas Day I almost had a panic attack). I have worked super hard to be sure all toys have a proper "hiding" spot so they are out of sight out of mind. We also rotate out toys. I think having a schedule helps to. The first few months I was drowning, but then I started a routine and life started being less overwhelming. I also have noticed breaking up chore time and play time and getting my oldest more involved really helped us. It has recently hit me that I will have 4 under 4, but I guess I'll give myself a little grace and then put together a new normal for us.

YES! Holy shnikey, I want this pump so badly! I know, though, it's probably going to cost an arm, a leg, and a blood sacrifice.
