Sinve we've had questions in all different threads I thought this would be a good place to keep it all together? So any type of feeding discussion/questions...
My question for tonight is what are you bf moms sleeping in? Can I go braless? I typically wear a sleep nursing bra (kinda like a sports bra) but I only have the one and am sick of it because I usually end up wearing it all day too if I don't go anywhere. Although I hadn't been leaking anymore, but now I am again so not sure going without anything will work.

I've never found that pumping is a good measure of my true "supply". No matter what I do I can only ever pump 4 oz ... and that (I know) isn't what my breast really have in supply ... it's only what they readily pump. Personally, pumping doesn't/hasn't ever worked for me... I gave up with my first with being a pumping mom and just exclusively nurse (I will pump for health, like engorgement, or if we take a road trip or occasionally for a sitter, and have about 6 bags of milk in the freezer for emergencies) but pumping severely effects my supply and limits it... I learned if I wanted to BF that pumping wasn't going to accomplish that for me... only my baby.
(((Totally my opinion here... which most of you know I'm not afraid to state... haha!)))
Basically, pumping is common these days, but unless you need to (for work or lifestyle) its not a "requirement." Mamas might do better (supply wise) by EBF for a month, building up a killer supply and then pumping if desired (unless they have had to be away from baby due to NICU or other separations early on). But... like I said, just my 2 cents...
Nursing (or just feeding) a baby is a full time gig... you will likely feel like that's all you do, because quite literally thats what they need... every 2-3 hours all day with a few breaks in there (breast or bottle to some point). My suggestion is... have you seen a LC in the last week or two? If so, see one... make a list of what's 'off" and see what they think... also determine what your goals or desires are and pursue that thing.
I thought these articles were timely... (and really what I came to post)....

@ava is your baby not gaining weight? What makes you feel like you are having a supply issue? My gf had one and had to supplement with formula but eventually everything worked out hope the same goes for you!

I initially wanted to wait the month/6 weeks, but it's worked well for us. So my advice is to throw all plans out the window and just go with whatever feels right/works.
Also @jennbaylor12 i have wondered the same thing about nursing bras. Staying tuned...
if it's pullover style, I can see how it would be weird. I would probably just wear it alone with nursing pads. I think. I really recommend the strapless kind though. I got mine from Target, by Lanisoh.
***Edited to add: I think I may try wearing it overnight with pads in it for leakage purposes. Much simpler for sleepy in the dark activities***
I did go to a LLL meeting today and they educated me on how to feed a newborn a bottle which is good because we were doing it wrong, DH gave her 3 oz last night which was way too much. Apparently, you have to have the baby sitting straight up and hold bottle at a 90 degree angle (parallel to floor), so that they have to actually suck to get the milk out.
I am feeling better today since DH took a turn feeding so I was able to get 3-4 hours of sleep at once, but now am having nipple problems, from having them stick directly to bra, with skin coming off when I take it off. so now I'm shirtless again with the lanolin asking WTF am I doing this for?? Good thing I have DH or I would have given up on BF by now it is so much harder than I thought it would be.

Also, is it normal to have a day of awesome production (2.5-3oz per pump total) then a day of barely anything (1-1.5oz per pump total)?
