Thanks all. The name of this thread now seems highly over-dramatic. In my defense I thought she was coming that day, but now I look like an AW. For everyone's sake, I hope I'm still the first Febulady to give birth at 34 weeks!
@lemieuxk not dramatic at all, I would have thought the same thing. And luckily, it has held off!! You're in the hospital, one step closer to birth than me
@lemieuxk it's not dramatic at all, but you can always change the title of the thread if you want! I kind of appreciate having a separate thread to be able to check in on you kind of easily. So glad to hear that you're doing well and that baby is in relatively good shape. Hang in there! Any pup visits scheduled soon??
Dude your water broke, not dramatic at all!! But I'm glad to hear she's hanging in there, and I'm also glad you get to go for a wheelchair ride and change things up!
Aww, im not on very often but prayers for you and your baby girl!! Every day inside is amazing when you are facing the NICU! Best of luck in the coming days!

@lemieuxk Still holding steady there? They have tentatively scheduled my C-section for the 29th, provided everything stays stable here and I don't go into labor on my own before then.
@PerraSucia I will be exactly 34 weeks. They will do another growth ultrasound first, but so far everything has been good...you know, except for the leaking amniotic fluid part
34 weeks is a good number "@chef'swife" theres really great odds for pemies born at 34 weeks. Hang in there! Plus all the best people are born on december 29th
@chef'swife I'm still here, still pregnant! Glad to hear you are, too. My baby is head down, so we are going to try for a vaginal birth. My induction will be either 1/1 or 1/2. I'm 34 weeks on 1/1 but they weren't sure if they would have favorable staffing on the holiday. All of that if I don't go into labor or show signs of infection before then.
My AFI was up to 6 today at my scan and the baby passed her biophysical so she doesn't seem fazed by any of this. The boredom is starting to get to me, though. How are you coping? Are you excited for the 29th?
I've been a lurker for most of this pregnancy, but I've been on hospital bedrest as well since last Thursday due to signs of pre-eclampsia. I'm 30w4d with di-di twins, and I had pre-e with my son, so not too surprised I have it again. I've been told that I'll stay in the hospital until the babies come, our goal being 34 or 35 weeks, so I've got a lot of down time ahead of me. Worst part is being away from my 1 year old and my husband so far :-(
@lemieuxk January 2nd is a great day to be born! DD was born that day after I went in for an induction in the 31st...she was 2 weeks overdue and still didn't want to come out once the induction started:/. I'm definely bored here, but I've had lots of visitors and DD has stayed 3 nights so far with me and we've had good Christmas movie/snuggle time. Docs tell us not to plan on baby leaving the hospital before his original due date but that it will all be based on his progress. He was measuring at 3lb 12 oz during my scan last Tuesday but they won't do another ultrasound until next Tuesday, unless something changes with my status or his. Glad these babies are all stable and healthy for those of us in the hospital!
@beern That is rough! My DD is almost 7, so she understands what is going on and why I have to stay here. That would be really tough with such a little one at home. Positive thoughts sent your way that those babies stay in and cooking!
@beern I'm sorry to hear that! 30+4 is a good place to be, though. I hope you can keep them cooking as long as is safe. I find trying to have some sort of daily routine makes bed rest a little easier and more structured. That and dreaming about the glass of really great red wine I'm going to have when I finally get out of here!
Thanks guys! Yeah, I had a brief emotional breakdown on Days 2 and 3, mostly because I just miss my DS so damn much, but I'm starting to get adjusted. Have recently restarted the Office on Netflix for like the 1,823rd time, so that feels familar and comforting somehow.
And yes, the thoughts of wine and sushi are in full effect already. I see the light at the end of this boring, super sober tunnel!
I'm glad you are both doing so well @lemieuxk and @chef'swife! Hopefully both of your babes keep happily cooking through the rest of the month. 34 weeks is a great spot to be in!

@beern I'm 31 and change with di/di twins also. I'm on strict bedrest at home due to preterm labor. I'm thankful to be home, but I'm only 5 days into this and super emotional about it. I think I'm over the worst of all of it, but it's boring and terrifying and I feel useless. @lemieuxk I'm following your lead and trying to get on a routine. I spend too much time staring at my phone, I know that much!
@HeatSparks Ah! So sorry to hear! So how long are they trying to get you to? Like just as long as you'll go, or would they schedule something for 34 or 35 weeks?
I'm super frustrated bc I've been in the hospital since Thursday morning and my OB still hasn't come to talk to me. Like I don't even really know the master plan and I detest not having a damn plan!
@beern I'll go as long as possible. In my imaginary perfect world, I keep this up until I'm 35-36 weeks, there's no more progression, and then I start resuming my normal activity level and progress into labor naturally. But I'm also trying to take it a day and a week at a time. First goal is making it into 2017.
Not having a plan or communication would grate on me so badly! If you make it to 34-35 weeks and the pre-e is under control, will they let you go further?
@beern and @HeatSparks. I was just on modified rest at the end of my pregnancy, but I delivered at 36w5d by planned c-section. My babies had some restricted growth and low fluids.
Not having your doctor see you yet is crazy! That would be so frustrating!

@beern I would be making a serious phone call to get your OB in there! Thats BS that you don't have any sort of a plan and they haven't come in to even have a consultation or check on you and you've been there for almost 5 days! Raise some preggo mama hell!! Or if you want, just send me your OB's phone number and I'll set them straight for ya ;-)
@beern That seems strange that your OB hasn't updated you with the plan or checked on you. Is the on-call dr checking in or just nurses? I would go crazy if I wasn't updated with what to expect. My doc has been in everyday to check on me. But her practice office is in the hospital so she comes over before the first appointment of the morning.
