I'm nauseous and wakeful.  Maybe I can take a nap before I actually have to wake up for the day.

My lower back is hurting a lot more this morning than it has been. Sitting at my desk is going to be fun today.

ETA: My hips hurt. Also, I'd love to not have a headache any day now.

The bloat is so unbelievable for me lol.
  • Options

Right there with you @caribbeanmama I am nauseous a lot now. I have woken up feeling nauseated. I swore this morning I was going to start throwing up. Drinking straight water at times makes me feel sick to my stomach.

OH! I also had my first food aversion yesterday: BBQ pulled pork. I was making it for a potluck we are having at work today because it sounded delicious but when it came time to pull it my DH had to finish it because I was getting sick.

Boobs are still ridiculously sore, nipple pain comes and goes. I get tons of hot flashes too.

Nausea has really ramped up but I have really been pushing myself to eat a small amount of protein dense food and it in fact has helped to my surprise. Last time I just didn't eat anything when I was and it was much worse. I haven't thrown up yet from that thankfully. I also have a lot of dizziness which I didn't with DD and I basically am grossed out by almost all food at any given point. This is earlier than it happened last time too. All the rest are just continuing ones

My symptoms started so unbelievably early. Like 6 days before my missed period. A couple days in a row of nausea and poor appetite (definitely not me!) which is what led me to think something was up so I had to take a test to be safe. The nausea has subsided but my lower back is killing me! Feels like it did at the very end of my previous pregnancy. I feel like I have gotten a sudden burst of motivation like I have to get ready for this baby right.this.second. Also SUPER bloated and gassy. Ugh.  :s

Only 5 weeks today- this is my 4th pregnancy (M/C #3) and wowzas, my skin is breaking out horribly this time! I feel nausea here and there but no "sickness" yet. My digestive system is all out of whack too so I'm trying really hard to eat mostly whole foods.

I'm itch-y.  Oh, and I caved and bought new bras because I'm already up two cup-sizes.  Yikes.
  • Options
@theweevee, I may need new bras soon, too. I am "muffin top"-ing out of the ones that I have now. And my boobs are way more sore than they were last week. I'm scared of what the rest of pregnancy will do to them: I'm 5 weeks tomorrow!

Fatigue is another big symptom for me. I slept for 10 hours last night and foresee a nap in my future.
  • Options
@spk112the fatigue is real! I went to bed at like 7:30pm last night slept until 6:30 this morning. Though I did wake up 3 times in the middle of the night. I felt like I could have stayed in bed all day.

@spk112 "muffin top" is the perfect phrase! I noticed it for the first time yesterday while I was getting ready for church... I'm scared of what my boobs will become lol I'm already a G cup!!

I woke up several times in the middle of the night feeling nauseous, but just now I woke up for real and... nothing. My boobs are a little sore but that's it. I know it shouldn't scare me and I've been reassuring everyone else but it still scares me a little... can't wait for my appointment this week to hopefully put a little bit of this anxiety to rest!

edited to fix typo - not an H cup yet!

At 6 weeks, super tired all the time, although I too wake up and can't fall back to sleep.  Nausea is also beginning, along with food aversions. And everything smells!  I was dying trying to grocery shop.  It was horrible!

6 weeks yesterday - Exhausted and sore boobs.  Not really much nausea yet (knock on wood!).  I also feel like I'm constantly on the verge of getting a migraine.  But it never really tips to becoming a full on headache.  Doc put me on a vitamin blend to help prevent them since ibuprofen is not currently an option.

At 4 weeks (and 1 day!!!) I'm still super early so haven't experienced any nausea or food aversions. The insomnia thing many of you have talked about is starting, though: I'm still exhausted all day, but now tossing and turning from 2-3am onwards. UGH. Took naps in the middle of both days this weekend. Other symptoms: BLOAT like WOAH, super sore nipples, and acne. Fun fun fun!

I'm curious about this vitamin blend, @LimeKrazy! I know that feeling well and the anxiety that you are about to trigger a major one, so I'm sorry you're going thru that! Are you on imitrex? My ob said i could take that but i should double check.

@manillabar, I understand - I was a DD/E pre-pregnancy. I'm a little scared to remeasure myself now. I asked for gift cards for Christmas to stores that carry regular and maternity clothes. I'm hoping that I can wait until then before I have to start shopping for a bigger size.

This was me every morning last week. It made me nervous at first because I have a history of refractory migraines. Are you taking something with riboflavin and magnesium in it, by chance? My neurologist started me on riboflavin pre-pregnancy. Even though it took a while to build up in my system, it's worked wonders.

Overall I feel pretty good, it's just some minor unpleasant symptoms like acne and bloat. Here and there I will feel some uncomfortable cramping but it's very quick and only arrives if I do something like get up from a comfy position on the couch, or after peeing. From what I've read this is pretty normal.

Im so hungry! Like all the time, nothing is satisfying. Mild cramping that comes and goes, along with nausea. my gums bled yesterday when I brushed my teeth and a little fatigue.

@GlitterFish @spk112  Vitamin blend is 400mg of Magnesium and 25 mg B2 (riboflavin) daily.  I only started them both on Friday so I'm glad to hear it worked well for you once it built up!    Mine are also refractory.  I'm not normally on any migraine medication (Imitrex etc) because I don't get them that often and when I do I can usually stop them with ibuprofen and a short rest in the dark (I'm lucky I know).

I'm still early (4+3) so nothing major, but I still feel like I have PMS and a hangover at the same time. I wake up a little nauseated (and EVERY TIME my first thought is "wow, guess I had too much to drink last night" before I remember I'm knocked up), but then it subsides. Pretty bloated, but not as bad as my first pregnancy, when I had to break out the BellaBand before five weeks. Boob pain comes and goes - better now than it was a few days ago, but still not great. Terrible breakout! Getting fairly dizzy, which is annoying. VERY IRRITABLE and sensitive. Also...is anyone else constipated? Putting myself on a prune juice regimen. Despite all that, still feeling fairly normal - I can go a few hours without feeling "pregnant" before my body reminds me.

@limekrazy I was on Maxalt prior to my BFP and am just hoping that I don't get a full-blown migraine during pregnancy. A friend of mine used to get severe refractory migraines but has not had one since she got pregnant with her daughter 5 years ago. Hopefully, we'll both be as lucky as her.

@spk112 I had a spike in migraines during first tri of my last pregnancy.  And with how it's been going so far I'm pretty well expecting the same   Seems like pregnancy either gets rid of them or intensifies them!

I'm quite moody (new the past few days) and my boobs are still killing me.  Lots of cramping and pulling.  Major bloat, where someone asked me today if I'm expecting (embarrassing since I'm so early).  Guess this dress will be put away until Post-pregnancy!

ETA- has some constipation this weekend, but it's better now.  My doc put me on a Rx Pre-natal that includes a separate DHA pill that actually has stool softener in it.  Awesome!  I'm also still extremely dizzy basically all the time.

@CAdreamin13 They said to apply direct heat?  Just asking because my former OB and my current midwife both give explicit instructions about avoiding hot tubs, saunas, and Bikram yoga due to heat.  I don't know what actual temperature would be concerning - would need to check Dr. Google.  I'm just a little surprised I guess.  Did they give you specific guidelines for applying heat? Off to research...  Anyone in the know can chime in?
  • Options
@caribbeanmama Those things can raise your core body temp, I think that's why. A heating pad won't.

OMG how could i forget about the headaches? I have one for at least a little bit every day... fighting one now.  I am also a migraine sufferer and I'm so scared I'll get one and not know what to do. I was also on Maxalt, and my research shows it's kinda up in the air as far as safety - one of those "risk vs benefit" scenarios and I'll probably try to do without if I can but it won't be fun.

Oh, and I'm also peeing every 1-2 hours while i'm awake so that's fun lol

The worst symptoms that I have are constipation, night sweats (I'm like an oven when I sleep) dizziness and some indigestion at night.

There are a lot of times that I feel normal and think that it can't be or something is going wrong. I know that I should be grateful.

@CAdreamin13 @GlitterFish Thanks!  I made a blanket assumption/mental note that I couldn't use my heating pads.  They are so helpful for lower back discomfort - good to know they are still an option!  I don't know why I never questioned it before lol!  Certainly makes sense!

     I have:
         - Tender Breasts
        - Either starving or not wanting to eat anything
        - A bit moodier
       - Not as cold all the time.

I don't know if this is a "symptom" but on my left side, I have a dull pain just below my ribs. I don't wake up with it but it comes after sitting for a while.

Fairly constant tugging/mild cramping sensations. Sometimes awkward to sit leaning back, which sux because I want to lean back because of the bloating to relive that pressure. Definitely feeling a little winded going up the one flight of stairs at work, not a normal thing. Sometimes feel "dizzy", more like having a good buzz going. Had my first wave of nausea this weekend, but it was right before I was about to eat and I think it was because I hadn't eaten in awhile at that point. Been good outside of that. And yes, my hips have been bothering me a lot, esp. when trying to sleep - having a hard time getting comfortable in bed.

For me, it's sore boobs, touch and go nausea, and dry heaving at times.  I actually find that not eating keeps me from feeling as nauseated until I get super hungry and eat.  As soon as I get close to being full, then I get nauseous.  Also, recently, I've been peeing a lot, pms type cramping (drank more water and it's calmed down so that's probably why I'm peeing more), feeling sleepy and lazy throughout the day, and scary as it was, I spotted after DTD for a couple of days though it seems to be gone now.
