Day 5 here and 3 follies.

@JWatt5 - They haven't mentioned switching away from follistim, but if I get another cyst I will definitely ask about it.
@Chartleib and @kmallery08, thanks for the luck! I'm going to still need it for sure! I am more confused today than ever.

During my first IUI cycle there was only 1 follicle. Today when I went there were a whole bunch of little ones (I counted at least 12), with no front runners. My nurse even assumed that I had PCOS, which I don't. It's only CD6 so I'm trying not to worry, but if more than 3 (or maybe 4) become mature, they will cancel my procedure. Why do I have so many follies?!?! The nurse also told me (on voicemail) that my estrogen levels are at 88. I have no idea if that is good or not. Anyone else have so many follicles all at the same time? It might all be in my head, but I think they are giving me cramps.

How is everyone else coming along for November IUI?

At my first IUI I had six or so small follies at the first ultrasound. When I went back after additional injections, only three had gotten larger than 12mm, and only one was over 18mm. 

For me, my baseline US is tomorrow, starting Clomid, which I still need to get from the pharmacy, and then the shots, which should be delivered tomorrow, start on Monday.

@OGreat,  I see you have had several cysts?  I have as well. How did your doctor treat them?

I've never been so excited to be spotting - all my normal period signs are here, probably bed ridden tomorrow (starting pain killers now!) but ready to get going again.
 @kmallery08 - hope your baseline goes well!

@OGreat Hopefully you start to see only a couple of dominate follicles next ultrasound. Are they going to cut back on your follistim or stay steady?

@AmeliaBedelia I have only had the one cyst, it just lasted for 3 months. They had me do BC for the first two months. The third month I decided not to do BC, but now can't remember why. They said if it wasn't gone after the 3rd month they might consider doing something more drastic, so thankfully it went away. What about you? What did they do for yours?

@persnickity they are actually upping my dosage!! I did 100 for a few days and they told me to do 125. I have no idea why since I got that info through a voicemail. I go back on Sunday.

@OGreat Maybe that's to encourage the growth to try and get a couple of leaders? Being only a couple of days off your cycle, I'm excited to have a buddy. I start the follistim tonight.

@OGreat - they upped my dose a few times to help my estrogen out. Maybe that's it? That'll help those follies grow! Excited to hear about your next scan!

CD6 - trigger tonight! Looks like IUI tmrw and Monday! My first (FX it happens). I have 3 follies and a smaller 4th one. Hopefully the 4th doesn't grow.

@persnickity,  how did the first day of follistim go? I always have DH do it for me. It makes him feel helpful, and then I don't have to overthink it.

@JWatt5, did they ever tell you what your estrogen levels were? I tried looking for a chart or something to say what they should be at, but didn't find anything super helpful. They said it all varies depending on the number of follies.

Tested at 10dIUI and Bfn- no surprise. 
I should be able to squeeze in another IUI right before Thanksgiving though

@OGreat when I went in Thursday they counted 9 follies but only 1 that was mature. And yes, it hurts!

@OGreat I can't give myself shots, so DH always does it. I did follistim last cycle too. No issues for me or any noticeable side effects either.

AFM: I had my 4th IUI today.  Now just hanging out during the TWW.  I'm hoping the time passes quickly!

@AmeliaBedelia Such good news that you were able to get your office on the same page about changing up your medication protocol. But you're right, it's a wee bit concerning that they didn't do it on their own. Fx you have a much better response to injectables.

@beary67 Yay!! Glad it went okay today!! I'm currently 4dpiui and the time has already seemed to fly by. I'm hoping the rest does as well!! But also I think I am only 2 or 3dpo. Regardless, I'm also hoping time flies by! Fx sooooo hard for you!

Good Morning everyone! Things went great at my appointment today! I have one follie, which is better than too many! It is measuring at 10.8 so far and it's cd8. Keep growing little follie, and maybe invite a friend to join you!

@JDW0325 I'm sorry to hear that, I also hope you can move onto the next cycle quickly.

My doctor put me on progesterone on Friday since my levels were low. Does anyone else get crazy mood swings when on progesterone, or is it just me?  (or am I just blaming it on the drugs  )

Finally it will allow me to post, I have been following along for a while but the site wouldn't let me post until my account had been established for a period of time! So anyway I am new here.. and below is my info!

Month/Cycle: Lost count, we have been trying on and off for about 2 1/2 years. This is our 3rd IUI cycle.

CD or DPO: Today is cycle day 14

WAYDTGKU: letrozole, HGC trigger, baby aspirin, endometrin

IUI Date: Had IUI yesterday, 11/5

Hi Gals - I had my 2nd IUI on Friday. Some crazy shit is going on with my body becuase that was CD10 and typically I take at least two weeks to respond to injectibles - oh well, I'll take it. Now I'm in the TWW. Luckily, work is busy enough to keep me distracted!

@JDW0325 - I'm sorry to hear that as well, hopefully your next cycle comes quickly.

@OGreat - I do get to see my estrogen levels but I cant remember where they said they really wanted them because again it all depends on how many and etc. But my monitoring cycle they said everything was perfect - it was up to 700-800 with one 20mm follicle all on my own. Then this past one  with injectables my estrogen kept going up and down between 250 and 375 with no mature follicles. Not sure what the problem was (and they don't either) but I'm feeling hopeful this month. 

AFM - I had my Day3 baseline today - back to alien probes and vampires AF was mean to me this month which I'm ok with - I feel like I'm all fresh and new in there, ready to go this month. 

My favourite vampire was there today, she's the best at drawing blood - the staff is so nice at my clinic. Lining is good, follicle count pretty good except the Endometrioma on my right side is maybe starting to affect my count but they said it could also be blocking view. Starting up at probably 50iu this month which I'm a bit surprised with because we got up to 75iu last time with no good results but they'll let me know if the doctor wants it higher after my blood work. Back on Saturday to see how things are going!

Hi Ladies - just checking in. Had my first IUI on Friday 11/4 and it went pretty good. It was a little more uncomfortable then I was expecting as they were having a hard time positioning the catheter but the pain was bearable. DH had a nice high count so hopefully that helps! So now I wait and try not to drive myself crazy. Keeping my fingers & toes crossed for all you ladies also in the TWW!!

IUI this afternoon, trigger shot was Saturday night. Things looked more hopeful Friday morning, the last U/S as the dominant follicle showed up on the left side rather than my blocked right side.

AFM, I don't go in for my next ultrasound until Wednesday. We'll see how things are going and schedule the IUI then.

Got a question on bbt and injectables. I still temp to confirm ovulation and give me a heads up on when AF will be starting. My temp today jumped into post-o range. I'm only 3 days into my injectable schedule. Did I ovulate really early? Are my temps screwed up by follistim? Or is it just a fluke? Should I stop temping?

@persnickity - Maybe give them a call to let them know your result - they may want you to come in or they'll let you know if it's ok. I had a positive OPK test last time and they got me to come in the next am just to be sure I wasn't ovulating yet.

I had my mid-cycle ultrasound this morning, and to my surprise I have two follicles ready to go!  I was alittle nervous this time around because I normally feel a dull ache around my ovaries as soon as I start taking my Letrozole, but didn't feel anything this time. So I will trigger tonight and go in for IUI #2 on Wednesday.

Beta turned out negative (like I knew it would since I got AF early), and my doc just thinks AF came early because of me being sick and it just being a fluke thing. So, I'll start testing soon and hopefully get an IUI schedule within the next two weeks.

@OGreat  That's great news!  Hoping it keeps growing.  When's your next appointment?

@kaseycoco  I agree with the other ladies.  I was super emotional and moody both months I was on progesterone.  Not fun.

@kiwisun4385 Welcome!  I remember waiting anxiously to be able to post too!  Fx that your TWW flies by.
