@Gretchypoo we actually wouldn't "need" anything from the shower- I have the bassinet, crib, dresser, changing table all set up and more than enough clothes washed and ready. The car seat, stroller, and high chair are all at my moms waiting (the shower is at her house and they are her gifts for baby) so if we would go really early it wouldn't be the end of the world.... I will be 36 w for the shower, but my moms house is only 10 minutes away.
Honestly, the only other weekend that would have worked would be this weekend and the weather is supposed to be pretty awful so hopefully it will be better the day of the shower, otherwise a lot of my older relatives probably wont come anyways.

That's good, I wouldn't worry about it then but I hope the weather cooperates!
When was your shower? Saturday 1/07, during a winter storm that dropped a foot of snow on us lol
How many people attended? 18 made it, the other half couldn't get there due to the bad driving conditions
What did you wear? A leopard print top over yoga pants and tall boots
Was there a theme? Safari!
Did it go as you expected/wanted? Share. At first I was freaking out because the weather was awful, we had snow and ice coming down, terrible roads, so I figured no one would show up. But to my surprise we had a nice turn out and it was a fantastic day!
What was your favorite part? Or least favorite part if applicable. The whole shower was great, the only bad part was the weather b/c driving there and back was tough for everyone.
Any pictures you want to share? Sure See below
Favorite/interesting gifts? Love all our gifts, we were so blessed and got a lot of great things for her.
What did you wear? An Ivory dress with dark grey trim from Hatch, and a crown of baby's breath (the host had it made for me and it is legit one of my favorite things I've ever worn). I want a flower crown every day now!!!!
Was there a theme? Not super themed, but just sort of French!!
Did it go as you expected/wanted? Share. It was perfect!!! The hosts went above and beyond to make a beautiful shower! We were in a private room with little balconies on either end that overlooked gardens, lovely centerpieces, great desserts, etc. And my mom was able travel to attend even though her health is very up and down, and it was mostly family and just a few close friends so it was great.
What was your favorite part? Or least favorite part if applicable. My favorite part was that it was just a really fun party - usually I worry about whether my guests are having a good time, but it was clear that everyone was. They started serving mimosas and bellinis early (that was key!) and the food was wonderful (Thomas Keller) and there were only 2 games and they were short and sweet, so everyone had a great time and I was able to relax and enjoy it!
Any pictures you want to share? Sure - below (sorry if they are giant)
Favorite/interesting gifts? We got so many great things - lots of cute clothes, a bunch of stuff from the registry, etc. But my mom made a little playmat that was super cute, and my cousin crocheted a baby blanket that meant a lot to me.
Fancy-pants @MissMerciBeaucoup your shower looks stunning!! I'm drooling over the bowl of strawberries and whatever else that is on the table with them lol. It looks very magazine like and beautiful, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself!!
@kswiger06 thank you!! And fancy pants is my favorite nickname for myself @chef'swife we are super lucky to have so many great restaurants nearby and he is one of my fave chefs... I ate way too much!
What did you wear? A lacy purple Liz Lange maternity dress from
Target! A little shorter than my usual style but I wore it with leggings and at
least “felt” like I had the cute bump going on.
Was there a theme? Woodland
Did it go as you expected/wanted? Share. I didn’t know what I
expected but I knew I didn’t want anything huge or overwhelming. I was so glad
hubby was there to help hand me presents, because there was no bending over. I
was in the cushiest chair, which was super comfy but also impossible to move
around in. Everyone kept the horrific birth stories to a minimum (I only had to
hear two!!) so I was happy!
What was your favorite part? Or least favorite part if
applicable. The woodland theme was beyond adorable and had to be my favorite part. The
shower was held in my childhood home, a log cabin in the big woods, so it was
the perfect theme. And my mother and sister made my FAVORITE foods: chicken
salad sandwiches, macaroni salad, and corn chowder…not to mention the decorated
cupcakes and Italian cookies that were present! Also, my mother and grandmother
put stickers on the bottom of Hershey kisses – over 200 of them – that matched
the theme set. It’s the little things!

Favorite/interesting gifts? My favorite gifts were definitely the Graco
Dreamglider swing from my parents and the Graco FastAction car seat and stroller
from my grandmother. The most meaningful gifts were a hand knitted gray sweater
with sheep buttons and a knitted gray blanket from my sister. I also got many
handmade flannel receiving blankets and I love them all.
How many people attended? 18 people (including me)
What did you wear? A pink dress from Zulily with charcoal gray tights. My sister also got me an adorable necklace with a momma & baby elephant on it so I also wore that
Was there a theme? Girl/Elephants/"Little Peanut", our nursery is giraffes and elephants so my mom wanted to stick with that theme and it came out so cute!
Did it go as you expected/wanted? Share Everything was beyond my expectations! Thankfully the ice storm wasn't as bad here as predicted so everyone was still able to attend. My mom and sister did a great job with the decor, the food was perfect and since it was just a few friends and all my family, everyone already knew each other and really enjoyed themselves!
What was your favorite part? The theme for sure!

Favorite/interesting gifts? My mom surprised me with this adorable elephant rocking horse for the nursery! For homemade gifts, my MIL sewed some giraffe & elephant stuffed animals and my aunt knitted a blanket. We actually ended up receiving most of the big things left on our registry. Everyone was so generous and I could definitely feel all the love for this baby yesterday!
What did you wear? Black maxi dress from Pink Blush with a sash that matched the color scheme.
Was there a theme? Deer/Floral/Rustic - this is also the theme of my nursery
Did it go as you expected/wanted? Share. This shower was absolutely wonderful. Since this is my 2nd I didn't expect it,but my SIL went above and beyond. The shower for my son was poorly planned (hardly any food, no games, etc. Hostess refused help from anyone) and I was upset about the outcome so this shower definitely made up for it.
What was your favorite part? Or least favorite part if applicable. I loved every part and the food was great!!
Any pictures you want to share? Below!
Favorite/interesting gifts? My MIL made me a whole box full of blankets, outfits, hats and lovey blankets. She is very talented and it is all so cute!
