My confession is that my husbands work wants him to go out of town to work which is three hours away and he seems excited to do it but I don't want him too. I am only 34 weeks but him being gone for two of those weeks freaks me out. Plus I will have to pick up his kids over an hour and a half away and take care of them all weekend including soccer games, and I just don't wanna............
I've been alone with 2 under 4 for a month now. I'm 35.5 weeks and my husband is working 3 hours away and not coming home until I'm in labour. It's been so slow here he is taking the hours when he can so he can be home for a week when they baby arrives. Risky yup, but I actually find it almost easier when he isn't home cause I don't have lunches to pack and the kids and I don't need elaborate suppers.

Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
RE: down there grooming/hygiene: I started shaving down there in college. Shaving everything. I get a lot of my looks from my dad, who is a hairy beast man, so....down there has always been suuuuuuuper hairy. I finally got embarrassed enough in college to just shave it all, and I honestly like it better bare. I waxed once or twice, which was nice, but hurt like a B, so I just shave mostly. I don't go against the grain anymore to make it nice and smooth, because I get super bad ingrown hairs when I do. So I mean... I'm "bare" and shaved, but have stubble. I try to shave every two or three days.
I'm also super paranoid about how things are clean-wise down there. I shower and clean myself everyday, but y'all.... my CM before pregnancy was.... um... copious?....and now that I'm pregnant it's....um.... torrential? So I'm always afraid it smells and is super gross when the doc is down there. I just have to tell myself that I'm sure she's seen it all before and I did the best I could, so.... shrug.
@amye102485 The girls I am referring to typically lack a belly, and have a "used-up hoodrat" look accompanying their baggy sweatpants haha I am more than understanding of not fitting into pants (as I sit here is FI's boxers with no intention of changing).
Re: Shaving "down there." I do it. I wax when I can but mostly shave it all. I don't care if it's supposed to be there. I feel gross if I have anything. That being said, if it's been awhile since I've had a chance to do it and I'm rocking a bush, I don't care what my OBGYN or my H thinks about it cause I know I'm clean... even if I feel nasty. And H really doesn't care anyway. He won't go down, but I'll still get lucky. Lol
My FFFC: It's 1pm and I'm still in bed. I don't plan to get out of bed till its time to go to work. It's my last day and I need all the energy I can get cause it's going to be rough, so I'm just going to keep relaxing.
It's surprising to find that so many people are looking around at who else is in the waiting room at their OB office!! lol I must be so focused on stressing out over the impending baby that I barely even look up. I may briefly notice that some women don't look KU but I also don't look pregnant until sometime 2nd tri so I don't really consider it. I also spent a while in OB offices in my early 20's after a pap showed pre-cancerous changes (all clear now) and then a series of visits before they determined I had labial eczema...THAT was an effing nightmare. Eczema really can be anywhere.
@bamacoop CM is normal, even if it's a lot. I have zero embarrassment over what my body naturally does and that includes hair although I groom. Just gotta stay on team #keepitclean

I'm late on the Harry Potter thing, but as someone with an HP-themed nursery, I appreciate you girls being on top of your gif game. @sportiegrl1213, become one of us!
My FFFC is that I'm bailing on a big reunion weekend with my husband's friends. I'm saying it's because I'm not feeling well and want to stay close to the hospital, but really it's because I don't think I can stand being the Sober Sally while everyone else day drinks.
My fffc (maybe it should be an uo) is that I totally judged the mom next to me at my nephew's soccer game for thinking it was ok to let her 3 (maybe 4) year old son play with a toy gun and aim it at people.
We live in a fairly sheltered area but come on! An autistic guy in fl had the cops called on him for having a toy truck and pretending it was a gun. The tension in this country is so high that I think it was a really irresponsible thing to do. Plus I was really ragey when he stood in front of us and aimed it at my dd but it was a blip of a moment then when he saw me look at him he took off towards his mom.
not cool other mom!
eta: I don't think it's 'bad' to play with toy guns, we used to play cops and robbers as kids, but it shouldn't be at a soccer game and he should not have been allowed to point it at other people.

I SO feel you on this. I got annoyed over the same exact thing the other day.
I don't blame you, @maf9866. I'm a city girl who married into a country family. DH is definitely more city, but his parents are "country folk" and are major believers in their right to bear arms. They own 300 acres of hunting land and are up there every single chance they get. When DH and I were dating and it became apparent that we were getting serious, his dad sat me down and had a gun safety talk with me because he knew I wasn't raised around guns. He told me that it was a huge responsibility to carry and/or use a firearm and harped on the fact that you NEVER aim a gun, toy or real, at someone unless you wish them dead. I thought it was kind of silly at the time, but I totally get it now.
I love the idea of having a fall baby but I'm also sad at the idea of maybe missing out on playing outside with my daughter and enjoying the weather and fall events
@AllyTheKid I did actually, but I couldn't get it to look right I've recruited my mom to help me since she actually has sewing skills haha. Hopefully she'll be able to do it because I love the idea!
My FFFC is that I'm slightly germophobic. At home, we are a shoe-free household (you know since I'm Asian and all). When we have people over, I don't ask them to take off their shoes, but as soon as they leave, I won't go to bed (no matter how late dinner party ended) until I've mopped the floors with disinfectant. If I'm drunk and can't mop the floors or DH won't mop the floors, I'll wear socks around the house so I won't have to "touch" it with my bare feet.
I get mad at DH when he lays on our bed (even with the cover on) in his work clothes.
But then oddly enough, there are things that don't bother me at all: i drop food on the floor and I pick it up and eat it (5 second rule), or my cat sleeps in our bed and I don't think she's dirty, I like to camp (although deathly afraid of bathrooms in campgrounds) and during my non-pregnant alcohol-induced nights, I used to be lazy and sleep with my makeup on.
WTF is wrong with me?
I guess I should confess that I sometimes let my toddler eat food he drops on the floor. Sometimes even when he drops it in the grocery store. Hey, how many germs can a pretzel pick up in three seconds? Yeah, I'm gross.

I will probably be the same way. I will pick up food that drops and eat it.... not in the grocery store, but at home yes. I've always been that way. I like to think it's why I never ever get sick. Lol
@sportiegrl1213 You're not the only one. I haven't read any of the Harry Potter books, and I've only seen a snippet or two of the first movie on TV over the years... I do have vague interest, but with a toddler and a baby on the way, time is not on my side here.
My FFFC: Sometimes I can't help but picture people having sex. A few examples: If my husband's friend introduces me to his new gf, like my mind just goes there. When my husband and I were first dating, and I found out who his ex girlfriends were (or saw pictures), my mind would go there. It can even be a coworker and their significant other, or my good friends. I just picture it and try to figure out what they're like in the bedroom.
It's never a sexy thing that is a turn on. It's a curse. And, I want it to go away.

I get what you're saying... I am a boy mom of a 3 year old that believes he is a police officer. We also do home daycare and her son is 9 and he runs around the neighborhood with his friends with nerf guns- my 3 year old loves this 9 year old (he's a great kid). We struggle with my LO and not pointing guns at people. But he's still learning. I let him take a toy gun to the playground the other day, he had his police Wilkie talkie and his police hat and his handcuffs too. if he points it we tell him not to. But it happens.
I dont care for toy guns and I definitely wasn't excited when my 3 year old took an interest in them but I embrace it rather than fight it because kids always want what you tell them They can't have and I'm hoping it's a stage he gets over soon.
@ibabyloveb87 & @Allythekid To add to this, I sometimes look at couples who I think would be very reserved in bed and wonder if they're secretly wild. Or vice versa.

Maybe this is my FFFC. But I am 100% against buying my kid any sort of toy gun. I don't want them to think guns are ever okay to touch, play with, point at anyone etc. We have guns in our home that are locked up in a gun safe ALL THE TIME with a code so even when they're older and can use a key they can't get into them. Once they're old enough to fully understand guns I do not mind teaching them about them, letting them shoot them under supervision. But until they are probably 10-12 (depending on maturity) I plan for them to know that they don't touch guns ever and to find an adult ASAP if they see someone with a gun. I totslly would've judged her and actually I would've said something for sure.

My daughter's birthday party is tomorrow and I don't want to go. Not because I don't want to celebrate her, but because there's a lot of family coming and I don't want to socialize or let them see how large I am. I have major puffy pregnant face too which makes me feel so unattractive and I just don't want to do it. I am such a baby!
@SpaceBurger I don't normally picture what people are like in bed but seeing that picture, the FIRST thing I thought was "there's no way she takes all of that!"

@books&icecream I didn't include annual exams in my generalization because I was referring to reasons outside of the one-and-done yearly check up. I probably should have noted that!
I'm legitimately confused. Am I the only person who goes to the gynecologist every year? I guess I assume most of the other patients are doing the same thing...?
Also, I avoid cleaning like the plague. I cannot stand the smell of cleaning products and use them as seldom as possible. I also leave dishes to "soak" over night and then just quick rinse and use them the next day. No one on their death bed ever said "man, I wish my kitchen sink had been cleaner".
My confession: workimg in the medical field you soon realize the full moon has alot to do with changes in people. I'm not a very superstitious person but I'm hoping the full moon will start this labor process. Especially seeing how i had already dropped before, but significantly dropped even more last night at work.
My husband grew up on the shooting range so gun safety will be drilled into her at starting at birth... playing with obvious toy guns doesn't bother me.
I am with @mrszoess I hate body hair so I lasered mine off and regularly maintain.
The new recommendation is a pap every 3 years (maybe longer)
