I loathe grocery shopping. Making my list now to go after work and I'm already dreading it.

I keep going from happy and excited to scared shitless about this baby coming. I can't wait to hold him and see his sweet little face... until LO fills a diaper up his back or starts throwing a fit and then I wonder, "What have I done? How am I going to manage two Littles at their most dependent ages AND get anything else done ever?"
My DH thinks I'm being super sweet by giving him "permission" to go meet up with some friends in DC on Saturday. Little does he know that I want his ass out of the house so I can nest and do things MY way. He also said that in exchange for him having Saturday "off" he would clean the kitchen spotless tonight, cook dinner, and would go shopping wherever I want on Sunday. I think I made out like a bandit.
I give all you 2nd/3rd time moms credit @AllyTheKid ... I'm nervous, worried, excited, anxious about my first. I literally had this convo with DH last night... ready of not, he's coming. All we can do is try our best, everything will work out, yes some days will be harder than others, but we can do it!

@PiperellaI That's a huge score for you! A whole Saturday to yourself AND he's going to cook, clean and shop for you? You made out great in this deal!! Enjoy your lovely weekend!!
I know staying close to my doctor at this point in pregnancy is the safest bet, but I am really sad I'm not going to our football game this weekend like I had planned to do pre-pregnancy.
Despite the fact that I know i would be super hot and miserable all day.....

@ibabyloveb87 I totally get this, although I really want to go to the state fair which starts on the 23rd. DH doesn't think I'll be able to survive all the walking outside in the heat at 39 weeks. He might be right, but I still hate missing all that lovely deep fried food and people watching. Hopefully your game is at least televised so you can watch it in air conditioning.. totally not the same, though.
My confession: I stopped at Dunkin this morning to get a coffee and two doughnuts... one for now and one for later.
.... I think we all know how that played out.
Also, I sent an official-ish email to my mortgage guy this morning and accidentally typed my name out incorrectly; using all the letters that were right beside the letters I needed. So instead of "bamacoop" I signed it "nsksviil" which are all keys beside the keys I actually needed to type... I guess my fingers were off on the keyboard and I didn't even look before hitting send. So. That's how my morning is going, y'all.
When I eat bone-in chicken I feel like a caveman or a contestant on survivor. So I asked my husband to debone it for me the other night because he always does such a good job with his. (I blamed it on my carpal tunnel). I felt like a toddler, but it was worth it!

This is our first year, in 4 years, not going out to Detroit, MI to see the Lions play. I know my DH is sad about it, as am I, but he also knows it's for a good reason. It still stinks though. So I get where you are coming from.
We also have this BIG fair in MA, called the Big E and it's a lot of fun. Tons of amazing food, vendors, games, rides... you name it and DH wants to go, but it's A LOT of walking and I just don't think I can handle it this year. I feel so bad, as to where I would attempt it but I don't know...

Lol @Piperella - I live for opportunities to manipulate DH like that!
My confession is while waiting to see the OB, I spend most of my time looking at other women imaging what condition their nether regions are in. I just can't imagine being gyno/OB and having junk, of all shapes, sizes, and cleanliness, in your face all day.
haha @CopperBoom86 I think about that when I'm there, too! And, because I used to be so weirded out about going to the gyno at all, I started telling myself, "well, mine's nice and clean and in decent shape, so it can't be the worst one they'll see." So now I look around the waiting room and imagine whose is likely not maintained as well as mine to give myself a little boost over any lingering nerves.
@CopperBoom86 My step-mom is a bone densitomitrist who used to work in a women's health care office with a bunch of GYNs and she has HORROR stories of patients with hygiene issues. I mean, nightmare inducing stuff.

I'm determine to go to the home opener of the LA Rams on Sunday. I'm 36 weeks and it will be hot, but we got season tix and this is one of the only games I'll be able to go to.
Also, I'm NOT a rams fan, but a football fan in general...
I guess my FFFC or UO is that I dislike when hygiene and grooming of vaginas get conflated. I've seen/heard many comments, not just on this board, about wanting to 'clean up' for their OB or gyn. Clean up meaning trimming/grooming. I would think that showering and normal washing of the vagina should be sufficient to maintain a respectable level of hygiene. Now I'm sure there are legitimately unhygienic people and I DO feel bad for health care practitioners that deal with that, although it's one of the job hazards, right? But I don't think a little hair down thurr, or hell... a lot, should be seen as unhygienic.
Disclaimer, not trying to say that's what y'all are saying. I just feel that it's a prevailing, widespread belief.
@chriscasey33 Agreed, the hygiene horror stories I'm referring too are strictly non-washing related. How one grooms or doesn't is not related to hygiene, IMO.

I definitely agree @chriscasey33. I don't shave completely and I think it's ridiculous to feel like you have to. The hair down there serves a purpose. It's staves off bacteria, so I let some of it stay for that reason. And if I had any inclination that my doctor judged me for that, she wouldn't be my doctor anymore lol.
I was definitely referring more to hygiene. Some of the ladies in the waiting room were basically in pajamas with their nasty, greasy hair in a messy bun. I tend to think if you're not presentable on the surface, your vag is probably not presentable either. Just being honest!
@MRSCORKER My desktop bumping is not letting me leave love-tits anymore. It says I need javascript enabled, but it's been fine in the past. I think my work is on to me!
@CopperBoom86 Yeah, I think showering before a doctor's appointment should be a common courtesy.
Women go see their OB/GYN for mainly two reasons: 1) They are pregnant, or 2) There is something WRONG with their vagina... The fact that your doctor has likely been in a multitude of eye-level staring competitions with HPV, Chlamydia, Herpes, and everything in between should be enough to ease anyone's mind about their own hygiene. With that being said, for those exact reasons, I don't think it hurts to go the extra mile to help make the experience as pleasant (or least unpleasant) as possible for everyone, including yourself. Just my two cents, different strokes for different folks.
@CopperBoom86 I can't help but wonder what the women who aren't obviously pregnant are in there for and I totally judge people based on their personal appearance to determine whether I think they're getting checked for STDs or not.

I almost added this sentiment to my original confession. I am more courteous to DH (in terms of grooming) than I am to my medical providers. 1) Because I love him and 2) he spends a fair bit of time in those parts and 3) I want it to be pleasant as you said

I second this! My dad was asking me last night if I'm ready, and up until yesterday when someone ask me that, I was like "Yup!!!" but now I wanna throw the shute, stop time and make me figure out what the hell am I doing?!
On another FFFC - I absolutely suck at making soup unless it's from a can (open, heat, serve I can do). Looks like I'm attempting a chicken soup tonight and I have a recipe but ya this isn't going to go well and I don't have a back up plan.
On the shave note, my doctor actually suggested that I didn't shave anything down there because it is meant to be there. I refuse to not try to keep it maintained but was surprised when she said that.
My confession is that my husbands work wants him to go out of town to work which is three hours away and he seems excited to do it but I don't want him too. I am only 34 weeks but him being gone for two of those weeks freaks me out. Plus I will have to pick up his kids over an hour and a half away and take care of them all weekend including soccer games, and I just don't wanna............
@CopperBoom86 I can't help but wonder what the women who aren't obviously pregnant are in there for and I totally judge people based on their personal appearance to determine whether I think they're getting checked for STDs or not.
I do this too... Especially if I see other white girls at the clinic who are obviously not pregnant. There is a huge volun-tourism scene here, that includes crazy night clubs and a fairly large group of Tanzanian guys who refer to themselves as "hunters" who basically just tally up how many white women they can sleep with and many of them are known to have STDS.
@kmolleltz What clues do you look for to come up with a conclusion? When I see smudgey eye makeup and baggy pajama pants I think "Yup. That one has the clap..." I'm starting to think I might be a terrible person.
My FFFC is that I'm slightly germophobic. At home, we are a shoe-free household (you know since I'm Asian and all). When we have people over, I don't ask them to take off their shoes, but as soon as they leave, I won't go to bed (no matter how late dinner party ended) until I've mopped the floors with disinfectant. If I'm drunk and can't mop the floors or DH won't mop the floors, I'll wear socks around the house so I won't have to "touch" it with my bare feet.
I get mad at DH when he lays on our bed (even with the cover on) in his work clothes.
But then oddly enough, there are things that don't bother me at all: i drop food on the floor and I pick it up and eat it (5 second rule), or my cat sleeps in our bed and I don't think she's dirty, I like to camp (although deathly afraid of bathrooms in campgrounds) and during my non-pregnant alcohol-induced nights, I used to be lazy and sleep with my makeup on.
@annabenanna If you mop as much as you just said, I don't think you have to worry too much about the 5 second rule. Lol
My FFFC is that I hate baths. I think they're gross. I clean my tub so I know it's clean but something about sitting with my skin against it grosses me out. The weird thing is, I LOVE hot tubs. Makes zero sense.

The problem is @MRSCORKER, even when I drop food at other people's homes or at the office, I still do the 5 second rule. Why? it doesn't make sense!!! But i dunno, it doesn't bother me.
Also, hot tubs probably have less germs because the water is so hot. Right? Let's just pretend and say yes. hahaha. Because I love hot tubs too!
@AllyTheKid I do that too! But mainly at the blood labs - "She's here for her parole required drug test" "He's here to see if he's cleaned and ready to go again"
I have another confession -- I have never seen one Harry Potter movie, nor do I have any desire. Even after going to Universal Studios and riding the amazing rides and going thru Thawgworts? I had to ask my niece and her BF, who are obsessed with the movies, what everything was. LOL

@AllyTheKid Well, I've been wearing sweatpants to my dr. the last couple of weeks because I cannot get my jeans back on by myself after a cervical check at this point. I must be getting judged, although it is SUPER obvious that I'm pregnant, so hopefully not judged to harshly! At this point, I just dgaf about shaving either. I do shower and I am clean though! Promise!
