I'm also a hardcore back sleeper. The snoogle has helped things but not completely taken away the discomfort of sleeping on my side. I usually wrap it around behind me, and sort of cinch it tight up between my legs so that it's really hugging my back - that way I lean onto it if I try to roll onto my back. But I'm waking up with sore hips and tingling hands no matter what, it seems.
@PensiveCrayon And now I'll think of a turtle every time I get out of bed. It's a pretty apt comparison.
I feel like I'm creating a future monster. I rock in my office chair a lot. I'm just one of those people that can't sit still. I've noticed recently that lil bubba is always really chill when I'm rocking. Now I can just picture him being one of those babies that must be rocked constantly now. No idea if it actually works that way, but I'm trying to limit my rocking now. Haha.
Anyone else having trouble sitting cross legged now? I find that if I do, Oliver "behaves" as if the pressure of what that does to my belly squishes him and he acts out by rolling more, which kinda feels like a cramp.
@swhiddon33: My girl gets pushy when I lean forward, I think also because she is feeling her space constrained. It sucks cause I generally sit leaning forward at work and her kicking is distracting... She is going to force me to correct my posture!
Stupid Thursday question: how the heck so I clean a stuffed animal with lights and singing crap in it? My 2yo loves this singing Minnie doll that lights up...she brings it everywhere. It's gross! I tried cleaning it with a baby wipe but it did not good at all. There's 4 months of dirt on it...from playgrounds, sticky carts at target, bubbles, and who knows what. There's boogers too. It can't go in the washing machine with those internal parts. I wish she carted around an easy to wash stuffed animal but of course she doesn't. So, any ideas? Stuff that you have tried? There's a bunch of things online but I want to know from someone's experience.
@sourlemon I have used an upholstery cleaner. Like what you would use on a couch. It isn't perfect and smells pretty bad, but it has always gotten the job done for classroom things.

@ea301 my babies switched positions Wednesday in a matter of a 20 minute ultrasound 3 times. They were feet to feet then head to head then head to feet. They can move easily now.
@ea301 Same answer as @DiFazette. My guy flipped and flopped around a LOT during an US so it proved to me what I thought I was feeling all along! I guess it will be a bit longer before our babies are so limited with space that they stay put more? Right now I think they still have loads of "play room" LOL
Thank you ladies! @swhiddon33@DiFazette Nice to know she still has some room in there. I guess eventually I will be able to tell punches and kicks from headbutts!
I've been having weird and annoying hip pains for the past few nights. It's only on my left side, and it's on the smallest part of my waist, where you'd (pre-pregnancy) wear a belt with a dress or something. It only hurts at night and for a couple hours after I wake up. I've tried every sleeping position in the book and Tylenol, but nothing helps and I'm getting only a couple hours of sleep a night. I asked the Dr about it and she suggested getting some machine that like pulses electrodes (?) into your body. Sounds a bit crunchy to me... Has anyone had anything similar? Or does anyone have any ideas?
@scatherinem I used them for physical therapy on my upper back.... amazing. It sends very like shocks to targeted areas to relax the tissue. However, I don't think that just using electrodes is the answer. It should be coupled with stretching and strengthening techniques so you don't have to continue to use that method for relief.
@scatherinem I've successfully used and own a TENS machine. I get really bad knots between my shoulder blades that I can't get to myself. If I don't get massages very regularly to break them up I get spasms. It's the best alternative (for me) than flexeril. I'd do some targeted research on the location of your pain and how to stretch that area for relief. I love my TENS but I'll be honest - I wouldn't be putting the electrodes anywhere near these babies. It makes my muscles spasm - it could be totally safe, but I wouldn't do it because I don't know what affect it could have on them or my uterus. Good luck!
@ajstevenson@DiFazette Hmm, sounds like it's not quite as hippie as it sounded. I'll look into it more and see if it's safe that close to Baby. Meanwhile I'll continue stretching in some hope of relief. Thank you!
