@MorganL925 I don't wear it everyday, mostly because of my job, but I wear it a couple days a week. I read the reviews and some people said it did leave a green ring around their finger, but I'll wear it all day long and haven't had a problem. I'm sure it'll tarnish quickly, but that's fine considering the price. And I'm hoping I'll be back to my own ring soon enough that it won't matter. Lol
@mizzkbrat - I haven't swollen at all either. I wonder how much longer we'll be able to avoid the inevitable...
Joining the club for my fingers. My feet? Totally different story... I do leave my rings off if I'm going to be outside for an extended period of time, though. I'm scared of having to get my rings cut off if they get stuck.
@MorganL925- if it does turn your hand green, paint the part that touches your skin with clear nail polish. @krzyriver... that looks, literally, exactly like my engagement ring... so I love it! If I ever swell up too much to wear mine, I'm going to be asking you for that link to replace temporarily!
@AllyTheKid - oh em gee... she is SO cute!!! I LOVE
@bnsmith85 I'm so jealous! When DH started hinting that he'd gotten me an engagement ring, this was exactly what I was dreaming of. I LOVE my ring, he did a fantastic job. And he had no money at the time, so I'm lucky I got anything. But he already knows that I want something like this for our 10 year anniversary.
@krzyriver... DH and I hadn't really talked a lot about exactly what I liked so I was shocked at how well he did! I don't think I'll ever want to change it I'm obsessed with it.
@CopperBoom86, @mizzkbrat, @ashleyp625 ---- i have avoided swelling....till yesterday. lol. I had my cowboy boots on for the photoshoot and when i got home, my feet were done. There was an indentation from the band from the socks. wtf? that's how swollen they were. My hands felt kinda tight this morning too.... i hope it's just temporary and only because i'm tired. i'm lifting my feet up at work today!
@Kaessi, i am still hoping to wear wedges to my baby shower (same date as yours) and I'm so hoping to make it to the end! lol. Your yellow wedges are so cute!
I just got through these like 70 something posts and can't think of anything i wanted to say except @allythekid your DD is super adorable.
@kmolleltz, i forget if it was this thread or another thread (pregnant brain and can't keep up with so many things), and you said that in Tanzania they comment on weight gain as if it were a compliment (wealth = fat). It's the same thing in the Philippines!!! Every time I go to the Philippines and we go to the boonies/rural area to see my dad's side of the family, my aunts and grandmas and relatives are all like:
"you've gained weight, you look like a ball!"
or
"you are so stick thin! are you not eating over there? are you sick?"
@annabenanna exactly! Hahaha. I had friends who went on furlough to America for 4 months and when they got back EVERYONE thought she was pregnant because of how much weight she had gained. But people just have no filter when it comes to weight here.
I have to say, even my dad has this mentality @kmolleltz, no filter! A few years ago, we went out to dinner just us two and he was like "how come you've stopped wearing makeup? You also have gained so much weight and you don't fix your hair anymore." Bwahahaha. I was so so so mad at him for weeks. Then I got over it, and realized he was right.ha.
krzyriver Just be careful to not put your ring back on too early. With pregnancy #1 within a few days of delivery I thought this is great I can get my ring on! Well, to my surprise I swelled up throughout the day and I ended up having to go and get my ring cut off because it wouldn't move and was making my finger swell even more.
@allison.smith.6212 Oh that sucks! No, I'll probably wait a good long while. It was getting a little tight before my pregnancy cause of weight gain. So I've got a weight goal I want to hit before I even try. I'd be crushed if I had to cut it off.
krzyriver I was crushed when they had to cut them off, but they we're able to repair them to be as good as new... but still not something I'd want to happen again.
OMG @AllyTheKid your daughter is such a cutie! And that smile says it all - she's so excited!!
I feel you all on the swelling - I stopped wearing my rings a month or so ago...and my feet, I can't even bear to look at them sometimes. I have an ankle in the morning, but by the end of the day, there is just leg to foot. And heels? Forget shoes in general - I'm on a strict flip flop policy these days.
I was on the way home yesterday and all of a sudden, I was like, "Omg, it's only Tuesday." Then I was literally in tears because I had thought all day it was Wednesday and I didn't know how I was going to make it through the rest of the week. I had slept terribly the night before and I was tired and my whole body ached.
Well, then I got home and realized that it was, in fact, actually Wednesday, and I felt like the world had been lifted off my shoulders.
@TurtleMomma Yuck. I'm so glad I'm done with that. I drank mine super fast too...bad idea. But I had orange and really wish they'd given my a lemon lime option
BJs: I can totally understand the power and control part being a turn on! I do enjoy that. I put on quite a show when I actually do that for him, and I know in that time frame, if I asked him to go shoot the sheriff, he would. I don't do it often, but I'll never half-ass it when I do. If I put in the effort, it's because he deserves it so I make sure he feels like a God afterwards.
@PCOSbaby **TMI?** Well, one tip is use your hands too. Another is make sure you make sounds that sound like you enjoy what you're doing. Another, play with the balls, get adventurous with the hands. Rub the thighs. If he isn't mortified by butt touching, go for the butt. Make eye contact. Basically, just get nasty with it. I could go on, but I'm sure this already more than anybody cared to hear.
VJs: I am one of those poor, unfortunate souls who can't get off from penetration alone, so I'd be at a loss without 'em. He's not down with toys, and his hands are too rough so that's what we have. But to eacheck their own : )
Cats/Animals: I love them all IF they are A) viewed from a reasonable distance in the wilderness or Properly socialized in a domestic environment. Any poorly socialized, or simply dumb animal annoys me.
Comic Movies: I'm typically a Marvel girl, but these are my sincere, unbiased opinions of the new Batman movie and Suicide Squad- Batman V Superman SUCKED, and was a disgrace to the previous movies and to Bruce Wayne's character developement. Suicide Squad was just Okay.
Swelling: So far I've pretty much avoided it- hoping to keep it to a minimum!
@TurtleMomma ... I did the same thing with mine! I was so proud of the fact that I was able to get it down so quickly. Then I started feeling like I was either going to vom or pass out. It. Was. Terrible. But you've got this girl! I went and got food right after my test. It killed my stomach for about 30 mins then made me feel like a dream. I was in such a better place after the food. Good luck!!!
Wow, I had to adult today and just read well over 100 comments but am now wayyyy too far behind to respond. So just checking in to tell you I read them ALL and had lots of thoughts, which I tried to express in "love its".
