@RG1 It's the best SS post I've ever come across! haha.
Can't even be mad about it
It's too entertaining. All I can think about is sitting behind that car in traffic being slowly mesmerized by the babies eyes while it hypnotizes me...
Does anyone have those protectors on their seats in the car to avoid scrapes and dents from the car seat? I realized Ds' seat really hurt the backrest so i ordered a protector from Amazon. Are the shields safe to use? I'm having a police officer inspect my seats tomorrow, but thought I'd pick your brains in advance...
@RedMar -- I think the general rule is no after-market products because they aren't tested with the seats. I think maybe someone had a more thorough answer about that in the car seat thread though.
Also, it just came up in a local FB group of mine that not all police stations have an actual certified car seat tech on staff, even if they are willing to do inspections. It might be worth verifying that the person who checks your install is in fact an actual car seat tech. You can also find a locator for car seat techs on th car seats for the littles website.

And agree regarding checking to make sure the police officer is a tech. Some departments have certified techs while some just offer the service without really having the expertise.
Whoa whoa whoa. Hold the phone. Janelle on Teen Mom is pregnant again!?!? (I'm reading all the random in reverse order) I JUST watched the Dr. Drew catch up the other day, was she pregnant on it??? Also, there's new OG out? I'm going to address this today, lol!
Congratulations on the new baby girls!! They are both just beautiful!! @kosmo86@seitzy3
Also, my thoughts are going out to all the others scheduled for c-sections today or woke up to their water breaking! I can't recall who said it but it really feels like a baby-lanche is coming!! So exciting
The final items of my hospital bag have been purchased and my bag is being completed today! No more procrastination for this girl.
I threw myself a pity party last night for having made no progress at my 38 week appointment - this is nothing new for me, I made no progress until having E 10 days past due.. but it's still hard. Then my husband told me that our TV broke (there's a notably darker band across the middle).. we got it Black friday 3 years ago, I really wasn't expecting to replace it already but luckily it wasn't super $ to begin with. Last night the $400 we have to spend on a new TV felt like the end of the world.
Then I went and got us DQ Blizzards after E went to bed and life was significantly better.
Woke up this morning and reminding myself I'm 38.5 weeks pregnant and super healthy and baby appears so too.. so counting my blessings. Either way I'm done work a week from today and I think that's all that really matters to me mentally at this point. I. Am. DONE.
@AnnaS930 sorry you had a rough day, keep in mind- things can change over night and this LO is not E and can do something totally different to surprise you!!
@annas930 Seconding @redmar! No progress now doesn't necessarily mean things are far off. My friend had her 39 week appt and was 3 cm dilated and stayed 3 cm until her 41 week appt. She was losing her mind with lack of progress and had no signs of baby coming. Her induction was scheduled but she went into labour the night of the 41 week appointment!
eta: I know you know all this and it's still hard to deal with regardless. Glad blizzards made you feel better. Have another today if you need
This is just the year of seemingly perfect appliances randomly crapping the bed for us. Refrigerator and TV. And in between was a dehumidifier for the basement, but the last homeowners left that for us so no idea who old it was.. but it was a nice $200 surprise to replace it!
I accidentally bumped my arm while I was putting on my eyeliner this morning and had a tiny dot of eyeliner where it shouldn't be. My first thought: Welp, that's it. I'm calling in sick.
I ended up fixing it and made it into work, but I'd say I'm just a tad emotional at 38 weeks!
I have had so. much. gas. the past 2 days when I really haven't had any the whole pregnancy. I'm also burping sulfur burps. Call nurse line worthy? (Like is it something intestinal and I should take something) or typical for this far along?

I really don't know about the gas, seems like anything's possible this far along.. but hey, look at you! Still pregnant! Uncharted territory, mama!!!
It is exactly one month till my due date! Boss just said I can work from home the week before and up till delivery, so only three more weeks in the office . Ok, going to be super duper productive this weekend so I can be super lazy till baby is here.
Re: August Randoms!!!
@seitzy3 BEAUTIFUL!!! YAY!!
Also, nice work @yellowrose314! What a relief that must be!
Lets keep those babies coming....
Edit: Because I'm a twatwaffle and forgot to say THANK YOU!!! to all of you for your congratulations, it really means a lot

This weekend I'll be making my final baby purchases though, I'm excited for that!

Congrats @seitzy3 on a quick arrival for Ava, you look amazing and love how happy everyone looks in your picture!
@RN1stBae I didn't read the article ( I am that person), but I think she's like 14 or so weeks along? Not sure when the dr. Drew ep was filmed though

So if you all would just calm down that would be great.
