My coworker and I ordered sandwiches from a really yummy place. I asked for lots of pickles so she mentioned that I was pregnant. When the sandwiches were delivered, these were the bags.
@SLou24 I feel like it just hit me all of a sudden too. Like one day I woke up too pregnant to function haha.
@KimmySchmidt I never thought to do anything in a pool besides lay on a raft haha. It's super hot this week so I think I will try stopping off at my parents before work to do laps for 30 minutes each day
I had a dream that I was going into labor and DH and I both got that excited "we're having a baby today" realization. I am only 35w5d but was seriously bummed out when I woke up and realized it wasn't true.
@PSUBecky23 I'm in a fb group, Laundry Love & Science; I'm pretty sure they swear by windex for microfiber furniture. Eta, I double checked and they spray with Windex then wipe with a rag
I've had breathing problems all day today (who doesn't at 35 weeks) , finally called my OB this afternoon and they sent me to the er to get checked out. L&D argued with the ER about who was going to take me, apparently no one wanted me there lol. Ive been here for about 3 hours now, got an xray and ultrasounds on my legs. Waiting now on a catscan (not 100% sure on that as I was distracted by needing to pee when the dr was talking), but super glad I found the free wifi!

Yup! Was just going to say this. Spray with windex and then wipe with dry rag. It's amazing!
@UnwritteN12 they're just beautiful. Can't wait to see more pics!! You're amazing!! Such cute chunkers.
I'm now dilated to a 7. The epidural early on was worth the 3x they had to try and get it in (complete with expletives from me). It was no walk in the woods, but has made the contractions a gazillion times more tolerable.
Windex ex to clean microfiber?! Brilliant! We have pet boogers on our couches.
Hot firefighter made me laugh. And broken doors. And all the DHs who forget things (like spare key in garage).
@slou24@thscary Pregnancy also hit me like a ton of bricks suddenly. I was fine walking an hour with my dog and then on Sunday I could barely do 10 minutes. Agh!
So I just got back from a trip to L&D. Baby was not really moving today. My standbys of Gatorade and peanut butter crackers did nothing to get baby moving. After laying on my side and trying apple juice and a Coke and still no movement, I called my OB who advised me to go in. I've been through this multiple times. I figured they'd hook me up to the monitors for an hour, everything would check out and I'd leave.
However, things were different. My blood pressure was high at 140/96. The highest it's ever been during pregnancy is 120/80. The baby moved once as they put the monitor on, but then it was over an hour before baby moved again. The baby's heart rate held steady between 150-153 with no real accelerations. The nurse came in and told me the doctor wanted to give me IV fluids and then an ultrasound. That's when I started to get scared. As the nurse was putting the IV in, the baby's heart rate started to do what it should do and then baby started moving. I'm thrilled everything was ok, but couldn't baby have done this before the IV?? I'm not a big freak about needles, but IV's really bother me. I didn't even finish the liter of fluids and the nurse came in to tell me I was free to go.
I'm looking forward to my growth scan and regular 36 week appt tomorrow. Hopefully this baby is done scaring me for now.
@LizC216 I'm so sorry that happened to you! I completely understand about the IV fluids. I despise them. Fingers crossed things continue to go well. And good for you being proactive and going in to be monitored!
Ahhh!! That is a ton of twins to have been carrying around!!! Nice work, and bless your heart, as the southerners say!! That had to have veen rough!!!
Fin looks AWESOME in those shades. I really dug that photo!
Frogdog should be delivering soon too!! Can't wait to see photos!
And I also mimic the whole "I start to say I know this girls whose pregnancy/baby ...." and stop myself because no one else knows who you guys are except for me and it'd be weird explaining to them. I don't post often (mostly BC I mobile and it's a pain in the ass!) But I feel like I legitimately know y'all!
Also, I don't always tag y'all in my posts BC I start to type out the @ whomever and it gives me like, 8 frogdogs and then I'm like...shit....I don't know....and have to scroll back through a million posts.
@LizC216 I'm sorry you had a scary afternoon/evening. Good for you for going in. I'm glad you have an appointment tomorrow, at least for peace of mind! I hope baby stops being lazy now
I will say I probably let the no movement go on longer than it should have. I hate that I doubt myself. So my advice to any other mama out there who feels like something isn't quite right, call or go in to get checked out. Sometimes you just know when something isn't quite right. If everything turns out to be fine, even better!
Just finished the hospital tour!! I'm so excited! And I won free classes from a raffle so I get a free birthing class, a baby care basics class and a breastfeeding class. We got to talk to several nurses (nicu, l&d, postpartum) as well as a pediatrician, an ob and an anesthesiologist. We are now waiting to pre register and we will be all set!! Super exciting evening!
Yay @unwritten12 those are some seriously cute babies!
So, in the last few days, I've punted our fireplace and stained our mantle. We've been DIYing it up this summer. Ignore DH's outrageous tv, it's getting moved to the basement and I'm getting my mantle back in the next few weeks. I know it's going to be a huge pic, but I have to brag!
Umm, I just went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was a fair amount of brownish bloody mucus. Nothing in the toilet, just on the toilet paper, but it wasn't just a smudge.
I haven't been having any contractions or anything, but does that mean I'm going to go into labor soon? Freaking out a little bit over here.

Call the Dr on duty. They can tell you what they think, but go with your gut and go to hosp if you need to. Coming home on a false alarm has no shame. Praying for your strength.
@MojieJo total FTM over here but from what my doc told me when I asked at the last appointment is that your mucous plug can have old blood in it and that's nothing to worry about as labor could still be weeks away. The bloody show is different though, but he said it's typically newer blood that comes from your cervix as it starts to dilate, that can mean labor is near. I asked him if I need to do anything if I have my bloody show and he said no, to just wait out the contractions. If you feel uneasy, I'd call the doctor just in case.
Edit spelling
Also adding: agreed with the above. No harm in going in if you're feeling like you should. Trust your instinct as peace of mind is huge!
Sounds like it could be bloody show @mojiejo. In my experience, it has meant labor is very soon, but it can take a few more weeks. Your body is just prepping. You bed to call your doctor if your having 5-1-1 contractions, lots of fluid, or red bleeding. I can't remember how many weeks you are, but I want to say you're also supposed to call if you're less than 36 to let them know.
I personally always drop my OB and FYI email on these things so she can let me know if concerning.
@Prof=Mom@AlwaysAuntNeverMom Thanks, ladies! I'm not overly worried (it just surprised me) and I've got an appointment with my OB Friday morning, so since it's not red and seems to have stopped (and nothing else is going on right now), I guess I'm going to wait and see what happens. I'll be considered full term on Saturday, so it's not overly early for me.
Hopefully these babies don't decide to put in an appearance on Friday. It's my dad's birthday and I've been hoping to avoid them having the same birthday as a close family member.
@frogdog06 - Congratulations!! She's beautiful! Our girls share a middle name and Layla and Oliver were the same birth weight.....all on the same day. Too funny!! Hope you're doing well hun!
Thanks for all the love guys! Josephine has been breathing well with no blood sugar issues. Hoping she comes out of the NICU in the morning. I tried breastfeeding her around 9 last night but my supply hasn't come in yet. Oliver has been doing well too. No blood sugar issues but they've been monitoring his breathing. I've only been able to hold him once because his stats keep dropping the more stimulation he gets. But he's doing better so I'm crossing my fingers for a quick NICU release for him too.
In the meantime, here's Robert, Elleanore and Josephine. They couldn't interact really with Oliver but the big Kids are absolutely smitten with their siblings. The wonder in their eyes is so cool to see!! ♡♡

@frogdog06 Getting close mama! Can't wait to see an update!

@UnwritteN12 good news on the kiddos, hoping Oliver's release is also right on the horizon. Love the 6 yr olds... the look on E's face says it all.
