Hello and welcome to the April 2017 BMB! Congrats on your BFP!

Due to the continued conflict of organization on this board, and so many other women claiming their BMBs were so much better with no organization, do as you wish on this board. I will no longer be contributing nor encouraging organization of any kind. 

For those of you who enjoyed and encouraged the organization, I apologize that the outcome will be more chaotic than anticipated. For those of you who embrace the increased entropy of the discussion, enjoy your BMB.

 is this where I can ask what the hell I'm doing wrong in terms of trying to get my ticket to work in my signature? i copy and pasted from the ticker creator, both HTML and BBCode but neither are working

@kmleon83 Did you look at the post tagged in here for the ticker? If not, check that out. Otherwise once I'm on desktop, I can try to help you through it

Neikoda the link just takes me to the page to create the ticker - is there a separate post for troubleshooting? i had a ticker for the last time i was active that worked fine but of course i deleted the html without looking at it when i inserted the new ones lol

@kmleon83 I don't know that there's a separate post for  troubleshooting. Just be sure you are choose the HTML option for code. When you enter it in your signature, make sure you are in HTML mode before posting the code by clicking the '</>' button.

Can someone help me out? I usually bump on my phone but wanted to add a countdown on my signature. I was able to find where I can generate the ticker but when I copy the link they give and paste in my signature, it doesn't show up. Thanks!

At first I had only copied what was showing but it actually scrolls down more, and by looking at your signature right now, it looks like you may have done that

I can't figure out how to attach the ticker to my profile.  I was able to follow the directions and create it, but can't seem to find the "signature" section.  I've also scrolled through the comments and still can't figure it out.

If y'all are on mobile, I'm not sure (I Bump on the desktop).  If you're on a computer, I've had luck by clicking the "Toggle HTML View" button and pasting the HTML directly in there (you can de-click the button once it's pasted and you should be able to preview it before saving).

Becky, you have the right type of link (with the triangle < > brackets), so hang tight a paragraph. 

Cookies, it looks like you've grabbed the BBCode (with the square [ ] brackets), which is something other message boards use if they don't let their users tinker with the HTML of their post.  If you grab this one instead it should work (I changed the code from your snippet to be the right format):
<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.thebump.com/?utm_source=ticker&amp;utm_medium=HTML&amp;utm_campaign=tickers"><img alt="Pregnancy Ticker" src="https://global.thebump.com/tickers/tt1d3204">

Once you've got the right type of link, get to your signature settings, Toggle HTML View, and paste it.  Toggle back to view your masterpiece.

Important to note!  Be sure to copy and paste it directly into the HTML View.  If you paste it into the normal view before opening HTML view, it'll automatically (but secretly) convert your triangle brackets into a substitute because it is assuming you wanted that in plaintext, not code, so it changes < and > into &lt; and &gt; which are HTML for the bracket symbol without performing the HTML code.

*note to any programmers reading this and getting in a tizzy: I'm well aware that HTML is a markup language, not code, but let's not argue dinner while there's water in the boat.

@TheJerilu, can you tell me where I find the Toggle HTML view?  I'm not super tech savvy (obviously!) and I don't see it on the signature page.  I can take a screen shot if you need me to do that.

If you're on a desktop, it should be the last formatting button on the right- it's the one with the two angle brackets on it <> .  If you're on mobile, it might be hidden, so you'll have to either use your phone's browser to request the desktop site (Chrome lets you do this on Android, not too sure on iOS) or jump on a computer to change it.
