@midwestbaby the heartburn is awful!! I'm surprised Zantac made it worse? I've been doing tums during the day and Zantac before bed and it's been keeping it in line for the most part. What else are you using?
I think we used to always change DD before feeding because normally she would fall right back to sleep after feeding and burping. I didn't wanna risk feeding her and then over stimulating her by changing her diaper because then she would just lay there and stare at us.

@midwestbaby good to know! Thanks. If it becomes unbearable for me, I'll ask my doc about a prescription! Whenever I've told my OB in the past that it's bad they just say "yup... a common pregnancy symptom".
I want to bump in the night so bad but 2 babies breastfeeding at the same time makes that quite difficult. @AliKay20 We change before and after a feeding (unless we feel/hear a blowout during the feeding). I'm always crossing my fingers that the post-feeding diaper change won't wake them up.
@caitlinj187 I also took a heartburn medication while pregnant (starting only at 36 weeks when I couldn't stand it anymore) as prescribed by my OB. It was essentially Pepcid, and worked so well that I hugged my OB at our following appointment. It was called fomatidine.
I only took it for two weeks since I delivered at 38 weeks, but it was still a game changer for me! Good luck!
I'm up but it's day time for me. The doctor said I needed to start walking every day. I literally sit on the couch all day every day watching tv so I decided it was time to get out. I took a taxi to the mall and have walked around for maybe 15 minutes. I felt like that was good enough so I'm taking a break at Starbucks.
I can't sleep....what's new lol. Watching the XFiles and about to get some cereal. Also been surfing the net. Our DS1 starts kindergarten Aug.8th! He can't wait and I already know I'll be the one crying when he goes. Anyone else's LOs starting kindergarten?
@Duffgurl, I went through the same thing with my Ds2 last year. He's heading to 1st grade this year, and not as excited, I think it's mostly because he wants to be home with his baby brother. But I was a wreck when he went to Kindergarten! *hugs
@texasmama2014 I've been having those same pains the last few mornings. I sympathize with you.

Awake since 4am, finally got out of bed at 5am figuring I'd make the most of some peace and quiet. Made myself a French press pot of coffee and read a book for an hour. Haven't done that uninterrupted in ages!
I was awake with horrible heartburn at 1:30, took some tums, finally fell back asleep at 3, but woke up this morning nauseous. I can't take much more of these GI issues!
Interesting. Midwife said she had to prescribe it to me. Maybe it is the mg amount I can't get OTC?

Aw thinking of you @Duffgurl and @ThisisNumber3, my DD doesn't start until Sept. I'm already overthinking it! Guess I should start some school shopping for her.
I was super uncomfortable last night from pressure, slight cramping, and a general feeling of being out of it so I psyched myself up to perhaps waking up in the middle of the night and it being baby day. Now it's 3 am, I feel fine and wide awake, and I'm just sitting here twiddling my thumbs researching methods to get labor started (which is probably silly considering I still have 2 weeks before I should actually give much thought to this)

Same here. This end game last stretch is making me feel like a lunatic. I saw my midwife yesterday and she said baby is sitting right on a nerve causing my pain.
I was slightly annoyed too because she said she was on vacation next week and I have an appointment with one of the other midwives, she said not to get a cervical check with her because she doesn't want me to go into labor when she is on vacation.

Who's bumping tonight? I can't sleep. My back has been hurting and I'm occasionally having a few BH. I'm annoyed that hubby is laying here sound asleep. I imagine he gets equally as annoyed that I can fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow usually.
@ShanRum3 I'm currently bumping and predict I will be up for at least another hour or two. So far I have entertained myself by taking a bump photo, looking up 3rd trimester pregnancy memes, window shopping on etsy, and made a to-do list for tomorrow...errrr I mean today.

I'm just laying here bumping... and trying to get comfortable. Nothing productive happening here, unless it's happening to my cervix as I lay here feeling crappy. I have been window shopping so much lately. I want to buy everything.... I have to stop, and start saving money for when I'm on Maternity leave and only have partial pay. I have a hard time even looking, without really wanting to buy! LOL
I'm up as well! I've had like one week of good sleep though, so I can't complain I guess. I've been researching the popularity of our baby names we chose (team green), bumping, and generally being annoyed that I'm awake.
Thankfully when I get to 4:30 my local morning news station comes on and I relocate myself to the couch and with that in the background I usually have good luck falling back asleep.
The window shopping and not buying is hard. I just save a bunch of stuff to my favorites and buy one or two things I want a week. The tricky part is DH is usually the one home when the packages arrive.
Cluster feeding sounds exhausting! With the way I have been not sleeping these days, I think this kid may be preparing me for that.

Up for no reason at all. Didn't have to pee, wasn't uncomfortable, nothing. I'm just laying here awake because my body won't let me sleep. I'm exhausted and I want to sleep but nope. This was my last morning of sleeping in. (Even though I can't ever sleep) DS starts school back tomorrow so now it'll be required for me to be up. Ugh!
I was up with you ladies also but I am too stubborn to turn on my phone and bump. Phone = light = never being able to sleep again for the night. I keep all the lights off even to go to the bathroom. Then when I lay back down, I shut my eyes and use a relaxing technique I learned from my therapist years ago and it usually works.
@jamiesc58 same for me.. I keep my eyes shut the whole time I'm going to the restroom at night and do deep breathing meditations to fall back to sleep haha
Up breastfeeding our lititle girl. Football hold seems to be working best for us since I had a C-section but sometimes it's hard to see if her bottom lip is flared out right. She seems to be a good eater though
