Had my OB appt today but my OB was on call so was cancelled. I ended up talking to the nurses because I have been having this itchiness all over. Was sent to L&D to get some tests done for Cholestasis. Was there for two hours was sent home but need to follow up with my doc on lab results. I had this same problem with DS2 but results where negative. I wonder if all this itchiness is due to insomnia and not sleeping.
Woke up because of a massive Charlie horse in my leg which of course woke DH up because of my reaction. Had my membranes swept at my appointment yesterday like @jkershaw2013 and Ive had some mild contractions. Guess Ill stay up and track for a while...
Hey guys! So still contracting regularly but not the worst pain in my life, kind of takes my breath away. My stomach never really fully relaxes after a contraction before the next one kicks in. Anyone know if that's normal?

Omg the worse! I woke up with one and immediately woke DH to pull back my toes....oh the relief.
Baby isn't awake yet but I woke up due to sharp pain on my right boob - turns out it's time to pump and not wait for baby to wake up. Someone needs to create a pump system where it relieves pressure from engorged boobs while you are asleep/laying down. Kind of like a catheter for your bladder to collect your urine (I didn't even realize they did this until I was well into my labor).
I made a trip to Bed Bath & Beyond today to get Milkies Milk Saver (per Google) only to find their sister store Buy Buy Baby actually carries the product. So much for that trip, eh? I got sidetracked at the store though because they had peri squirt bottle look alikes intended for sauce bottle but I got so excited (& not because I was thinking of putting ketchup in these bottles).
Anyway, sounds like some of you may go into/be in labor shortly! Best of luck.
Well after 2 good nights of sleep I guess it's back to the insomnia for me. I was talking to one of my sisters friends last night who has a 2 year old, and I was asking her how she gets her daughter to sleep. With DD she's been in her twin bed for a good little bit now but nap and bed time requires us to lay down beside her until she falls asleep and sneak out. We realized that I'm not gonna be able to do that once this baby is born because DH works until 11pm for half of the month. I can't lay down with the toddler and leave the newborn somewhere else.
So we did CIO tonight and just kept putting her back in her bed and saying night night, love you. It took about 40 times of laying her back down but less than an hour and she was asleep. I'm hoping she gets the hint from here on out because when she was still in her crib we could just lay her down and it was the best thing ever. Fingers crossed for better sleep routines for DD!
@AliKay20 I just bought Milkies Milk Savers last night off of Amazon around 4am. I am so excited for them the arrive so that I can stop pouring milk all over baby and soaking through full-size towels, which just blows my mind. I'm trying to be grateful for an over productive milk supply, but it is totally bizarre. I hope the Milk Savers work for you! Perhaps we can compare notes once we start using them.
Also, random, but I love Fran and I can't wait for her next appearance.
Well once I hit an hour of contractions under 5 mins, they slowed down I actually got a little sleep, but they have intensified and sped up again. So, we'll see what happens

@AliKay20 and @entropicallyfavored - please keep us posted on how the Milkies Milk Savers work for you! I have been looking at them and want to order as well.

Yes, I'm super curious how they work too. Hoping this might be something that will work for me when the time comes. Thanks girls!
Going to try it tonight! I don't have an oversupply issue but if I am nursing from one boob, the other starts leaking milk when I need to save every single drop. Such precious commodity!
I've been scouring the internet all day for nursing tops and just can't seem to find anything affordable. Anyone have any ideas? I'm ready for nursing in public as long as I can find a few good shirts to wwar!

I got some cute tanks last time at Target. Haven't looked there again yet but I don't think they were too pricey.

I love getting dresses from the company piper and scoot that are nursing friendly. I think they have tops too, but not sure if they are nursing ones.

@Stephanie7693 I did the "two shirt method a lot. Where I put on a regular shirt and a tank that was either nursing or easy to pull down, lift up too shirt, pull down tank. I often used a swaddle to cover if it was somewhere I didn't feel comfortable going without. Or I would use it just for latch and then uncover.
Milkies milk saver is great. I got about 10-15 ml on my boob that baby wasn't latched to while nursing. Just used that amt to finish nursing once I was about done feeding on both sides. Crazy how much milk I've wasted letting it soak through a towel I had under my nursing bra. I feel so good about it - the kind of feeling you get when you take out a load of clean underwears from the dryer - ya know what I mean? #thelittlethings
Thanks ladies! I'll probably try the two shirt method tonight. And I think in going to invest in those milk savers @AliKay20. Levi slept a 4 hour stretch and by the time I went to feed him my shirt was soaked and he got sprayed in the face with milk! Lol
@Stephanie7693 check out Asos online - really cute and affordable nursing wear. I also love my Gap nursing tanks. Haven't actually nursed in them yet, but they are so comfortable and would be cute under an open sweater or shawl. With DD I wore a lot of the nursing tanks from Target.
I looked at those places @PeachGal23, just didn't find enough I liked to place an order. I did order from latched mama and milk something or other. Not super cheap, but not terrible. I plan on picking up a few more basic tanks at target, but they aren't all that discreet. Once I can wear sweaters again I'll get more use out of them. And when my pregnant looking belly is gone lol

I just tried Milkies Milk Savers and they are the best! This is my favorite product that I have bought for pregnancy or motherhood so far! Like @AliKay20 said, it is so rewarding to not lose precious milk!
Baby E gets so fussy at night so we use any extra milk we get to calm him down enough to feed at night. I thought that they would be too expensive (about $25), but I bought the Milk Savers on Amazon and even with just one feeding, it feels worth every penny!
Having some intense contractions and starting to track. Dont want to wake DH up yet but Im really hoping this is the real thing!!! If so Im glad I went to bed early tonight and got a few good hours of sleep.
Clogged ducts are going to ruin my life. It's been every few days now for the last couple weeks. I'm taking sunflower lechitin, hot showers, warm compresses, massage and pretty much everything else. I broke down and cried at 1 this morning, because it's somewhat painful and probably because I'm running on a couple hours of sleep. I'm about ready to be done with pumping and it's only been 5.5 weeks. If our boys were still preemies I'd highly consider it.
@tmk0325, hang in there! It's a grueling process, I'm only 2 weeks into it, but you aren't alone in feeling fatigued and defeated at times - I'm told it will get easier! :-)

I bought 10-12 cotton Apartment 9 tank tops from Kohl's. The sleeves pull down very easily and I will use with a nursing bra and a nursing scarf, if I ever make it out of the house again.
Okay little girl, it is officially your due date! We are ready to meet you so come on out! All our home improvement projects are finished (new kitchen floor, new sliding door, new back deck); 90% of the honey do list is knocked out (DH even got on the roof and cleaned the gutters today); we went out on a last date; we just had sex which I'm really glad about because, contrary to my expectations, we both really enjoyed it! And now I'm rocking back and forth on my yoga ball trying to convince myself that these "period" cramps are contractions.
@Car0liiine wahoo! Happy due date baby! Hoping the LO decides to come soon!
Im just chilling on the couch eating French fries. Tons of BH again tonight. I have grown to hate them because they don't do anything, they keep me up, and squeeze my poor bladder.

It's 1 am. In my light sleep I just felt something on my hand and sure enough as I moved (thinking my hand was just tingly numb) there really was a bug there.
This baby is so lazy all throughout the day and then suddenly, from 10pm on, she's moving and kicking all over the place. Um excuse me... It's time for me to relax and I can't do that when your foot is in my ribs. I just need some sleep!!
Well I had 2 good nights of sleep in a row so naturally I can't sleep tonight.
In other news we've dealt with so much in law drama this weekend it makes my head hurt to even think about. DHs uncle and grandma made a smart ass comment on Facebook which ultimately when DH confronted them about it they choose to tell DH that I am a "cold, uninviting, heartless bitch" and they could never feel comfortable in our house. Needless to say DH went off and then a few days later his uncle texted him saying they needed to talk and when DH made it very clear he had no interest in talking to him, his uncle went off again going on about me and DH also.
Why is everything hitting the fan less than 2 weeks before we have a baby!?
I may have had the best 15 minutes of sleep this 3rd trimester. I was in the recliner, I had Bob's Burgers playing & I dozed off....omg it was so wonderful I even drooled a bit. Lol. However my baby must've felt I was too relaxed so he started stretching/moving, he has very little room so its kind of painful at this point.
Mom left. DH has been covering night duty for the past few days. I'm nursing baby A right now but I forgot to change her diaper before feeding.
Now I just feel this dampness on my arm that's in contact with her butt area. Do you guys change babies' diapers before each feeding? In-between? After? I suppose there's no hard set rule but any tips appreciated. She also goes while feeding lol
@AliKay20 I used to change DS when he was switching breasts... I would try to have him empty one boob, then changed is diaper, then offer the second. It was good because it would wake him up a bit to finish his feeding.
Update: I got up to change her diaper before switching to other boob as she fell asleep while drinking from first boob. I must've been half asleep because I had my Milkies milk saver securely on my boob still and I bent down to pick up her bib.
You guessed it! I spilled out all that was collected (1oz worth) right on the floor.
This feeling of loss can be most comparable to the feeling of finding out the shit you just bought for full price went on clearance the second after you bought it. No bueno.
Well it's 4am and I'm up again after three hours of sleep. I decided to not pick up my heartburn meds yesterday out of sheer laziness. BIG mistake! My whole esophagus feels like it's on fire and I'm miserable. I popped a Zantac and it's worse. Wtf? As soon as the pharmacy opens I will be running in like a crazed mad woman asking for the magic pills.

On sale with 30% off, they came out to $3-5 each.
I've bought these before, and they are pretty nice - and super stretchy.
