@BaylieGirl Yeah, last night I went on a BMB loss-thread bender and noticed that they're here and there throughout the early weeks, a lull, and then they start again following 8-12 week appointments. Occasionally you'll see ones around the 14-16 weeks. Once or twice I've seen grave issues past 18 weeks. This data was informally gathered using Dec '16-Feb '17 BMBs. Then I realized I was only bringing myself down and put on a Harry Potter audiobook.
Thank you for your words of encouragement. Having my first counseling session scheduled several days after my first scan definitely helps mentally, although I'm still a nervous wreck! Nevertheless, being proactive is a wonderful feeling. I hope that if you feel you need to see a therapist also, for any reason, that you are able to seek the help you need. FX for good news at your appointment!
Hey ladies, I miss you all tons and wanted to say hi! I've been keeping up on all the threads and I'm excited for all of those doing medicated/assisted cycles this month, and for the gals slogging through the usual WTO/dreaded TWW. I'm still rooting for all of you so hard! I won't call anyone out specifically here in case you are having a bad day but I just wanted to send my well wishes for each and every one of you. I see some new faces, too, which is sad but also exciting, because this community is awesome!
AFM, I've had some spotting and passage of old blood over the last four days. I got an early US today and LO is hanging in there like a champ! I'm measuring on time (6w1d) and there's a little heartbeat. I'm still not in the clear (the 7th week has always been telling for me), but if the worst happens, at least I have this place to come back to! I hope I get to stay with the grads though, and that you all will join us soon!
I'll be thinking of you this week @Wishilivedinflorida! I'm glad to hear your LO is measuring on track! Fingers crossed you've seen the last of the bleeding!
Glad to hear your LO is measuring on time @Wishilivedinflorida ! I'll be thinking of you this next week! Will you be having another scan soon to ease any potential anxieties?
@roper2617 My actual first appointment was supposed to be next Tuesday, so I'm keeping that and they booked a follow up US. Just have to keep the crazies at bay for one week.
@chloe97 I'm sure none of the girls would be offended if you ever commented in the grad group. (I understand if that's too much for you though) I miss you oh so much and I'm sure others do too! I've been rooting for your AF to show for so long now!
Hi everyone! Today I am 7w4d, and yesterday was the first ultrasound. The baby is measuring right on track based on ovulation with a HB of 158! The OB mentioned the growth was 2 days ahead, and when I said, "I know, I temped and used OPKs so I figured it'd be," he teased me and called me an overachiever. It's because of you amazing women that I learned how to chart and manage my fertility. I'll never be able to thank this board enough for all the support and information this community offered to me and to others.
I'm far from out of the woods, so while I'm giddy, I'm still cautious and anxious. Nonetheless, it's another milestone down, and each day I'm pregnant is a reason to stay strong and gain a little more hope.
Just wanted to peek in and say I'm still pregnant. Follow up ultrasound showed LO measuring on time (7w2d) with a great HR! I've never had this happen before...I'm shocked! A bunch of us are now in the "five week wait," as we've termed it, until NT scan.
I wanted especially to tell @SnobunnieMel that my corpus luteum cyst is on the right, and so now I'm convinced that that dang left ovary just plain sucks! I think our lefty theory still stands. I had no ovulation pain last cycle to guide me, so I've been wondering this whole time which side I had to thank!
@Spartanrd4 Actually, I O'd from the left with my two losses. My left is quite dominant (judging by O pains), and I think it holds all my bad eggs. Totally unscientific, but that's what I'm going with!
@Wishilivedinflorida I know my left is dominant from my Adam at the RE when I had my saline sono. I had a large follicle since I was 2 days before O then that was on the left, another medium on the left and nothing exciting on the right. Oddly enough I did have O pain on the right this month but of course I'm benched now n

I have no idea where my corpus luteum cyst is/was... ::stares off into the abyss:: My O pains were pretty generalized this cycle, as was most of the cramping I had early this pregnancy.
Now that I think about it though, I did have that episode of a few stabby pinches in my lower left abdomen a week ago. Maybe that was it.
@dubcompanion I only knew because I asked the US tech to prove my theory that I O'd on the right. I never had real O pain until that cycle and it was on the right for sure. Science!!! She thought I was crazy lol.
@Wishilivedinflorida So excited for your great ultrasound! Sign me up for the lefty losers club too! Both pregnancies were from the left ovary and I ovulated on my left ovary this past cycle. Any tips on getting the right to pick up some slack? The RE nurse told that the right ovary looked dormant. I'm seriously thinking of a Mayan fertility massage to perk it up.
Checking in - had my NT scan on Tuesday before we started driving to TX. Everything looked good and it was amazing to see our little one wiggling around (plus because s/he was wiggly and they needed measurements it was a longer scan than I've had for dating ultrasounds = extra baby viewing time). We're measuring right on track and PGAL is at bay for now - we'll see how long that lasts...

@dubcompanion@Wishilivedinflorida so sorry to resurrect an old debate, but interesting find today. At my baseline u/s for clomid, my left ovary had 10 little follies but my right had 15!!!! Maybe that means right will finally be in charge this month for the first time in forever.
Time for a social experiment to see which actually grows. Last scan I had, left had the dominant follicle.

@SnobunnieMel Yay for the right catching up! I firmly believe that my left ovary was putting out bum eggs. Because, you know, science. Personal bias story, clearly not a controlled trial!

@SnobunnieMel That's hilarious. When my US tech commented that I had a small cyst on my right, I turned to DH and said "That's where I ovulated from! I knew my left ovary sucked!" And she laughed.
@SnobunnieMel FX your right kicks into gear and dominates!!
Pretty sure I ovulated on my left now... When I had a scan yesterday, the transducer moved around the left side side of my abdomen (80% sure). For all I know though, where the uterus is and which ovary the egg came from aren't related!
This is fascinating about dominant ovaries. I have read a little on it and, though I have no proof, worry about my right being dominant since that's the side I lost my tube. Obviously things change, but it took only a few months to get pregnant with both my son and then I had my ectopic and now nothing since January. Makes you think you know?

@Taggarab I have always felt my left was dominant. I get really strong O pains on my left side, but all 3 times those seemed to be crappy eggs. Even when I had a cd12 scan it was the left with a big follicle. The left is also where I had cysts rupture back in college so we have never been friends. I'm really hoping this right side situation works out. I have more confidence in her abilities.

Can I just randomly state for those of you active on TTGP, wtf has happened?! I never really posted there, maybe one or two times, but lurked constantly. I learned a lot from those ladies about TTC, but holy crap on a cracker, it's so....crappy there now. I feel bad for the regs. I was lurking for funsies and just...
Yeah there's absolutely very little organization, looks like they are trying to change some rules, but the posts aren't being pinned, more drive-bys than I've ever seen, really crazy randoms, etc.
There was a mass exodus of of bunch of the original group that kept things going and one person in particular wanted to get rid of TWs and all the snark and harassment of drive by's. There were even votes about stuff and the entire tone of the board changed. As a result lots of things have crept in. There was a long come to Jesus talk from some of the oldies and the newbies about getting things under control and we thought it had helped but it's brutal. They made an entire new rules guide but it's not on the top of the board yet. People make a new post for every thought or question and no one was redirecting them to WTO/TWW so it get soooooo clogged.
And there has has been some mad trolling. Sunday was unbearable

@SnobunnieMel That sounds awful! I lurked and posted a little on TTGP a long time ago, but stopped even lurking after my first loss. I couldn't handle the drive-bys, drama, and naïveté of the random posters and trolls back then... I shudder to think what it's like now!
I have tried to come back after the huge vent session the oldies all had but after 2 weeks it's already trying my patience. It's borderline "am I pregnant with a butt baby" bad from back in the days.
Also. Should you need to know why people are crazy. Here is some entertainment

@SnobunnieMel Spent some time lurking. Sad thing is that in the current TTGP, you'll get a post like that and it would be shut down quickly and/or people are reported before it gets anywhere that fun or entertaining. At least we have butt baby to see what the good ol' days were like!
It was a super bad weekend on TTGP for drive bys trolls and randoms but I do think it can be salvaged. It's annoying about certain posts not getting pinned/unpinned because we have no control over that. But in general I don't think it's THAT bad, this weekend removed lol There's always going to be some transition time when changes are implemented. I have zero trouble finding the posts I need to find (ex TWW, WTO, etc). I definitely understand why things are/were the way they are/were tho! I try the be as nice and compassionate as possible but I think the whole "give support to get it" is HUGE and so important (for the boards and irl because I've definitely been one to give where it's not deserved or appreciated and it is draining!)
