*****this thread will most likely contain topics of pregnancy and may contain many triggers. If you are having a tough TTCAL, read at your own discretion*****
Congrats rainbow mommies!! We miss you and we're hoping you might come back and see us occasionally.
We we are still figuring out our format so let start with a generic how far along are you? How's the anxiety of PGAL brain going? GTKY: what strange cravings do you have right now, if any?
I miss you guys too, I am always lurking around keeping tabs on everyone...Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer
1. I am 5 week 5 days!
2. I am trying to keep anxiety at bay but it is so hard. I am going to my first OB intake appointment on Wednesday at 6 weeks. My baby stopped growing at 7w4d so I think the next couple weeks will be hard. My first OB appointment is August 8th at 9w5d where I'll probably have my first scan- I think that will be the most nerve wracking! DH has been great though in calming me down and just trying to be positive.
3. I am just really into carbs which is very similar to last pregnancy- yesterday I ate a cookie, cake, a doughnut and then had macaroni and cheese for dinner. Salads made me puke last time so now I have an aversion to them. I'm trying to eat healthy but a lot of things just don't sound good to me. It's so bad too because I'm a nutritionist!
I miss you all so much! We TTCAL grads are honored to have been invited back in our very own thread. Seriously, it means a lot to us to be able to converse with you all. So LET'S DO THIS!
How far along are you? 4 weeks 6 days
How's the anxiety of PGAL brain going? Anxiety comes in waves and mainly occurs when there's a trigger. Last week, I experienced similar lower back pain that I had had constantly the last week leading up to my MMC at 12 weeks. I freaked out and contacted my OB's office. They told me if it lasted into the next day to call them to consider options (i.e. coming in.) It didn't, so I opted to let things lie. Haven't had another scare since. I also simply learned to not have an orgasm in certain positions, heh...
GTKY: what strange cravings do you have right now, if any? Namely just chocolate. I've always enjoyed chocolate, but it's been taken to whole new levels. It's not been unusual for me to have hot fudge sundaes for breakfast.
So happy to read your news dear ladies! They lift up my spirit!!!
hugs to you and your babies!

I miss you guys SO much. My BMB has a bit more snark than I like - though I hear it "isn't that bad" so we're building up the TTCAL graduate community to be like this group was when I graduated - loving, kind and supportive. Y'all are certainly welcome but I know it can be a trigger to be in a group full of pregnant women - hence this thread - thank you @snobunniemel and @reneeannemm. If you want an invite send me a PM - or apply directly - I'm one of the co-moderators (or whatever they call us - leaders?). I've been checking the TWW thread for BFPs but I worry that I'll miss someone.
I am 8w6d - MC last time was around 7 weeks
PGAL anxiety - it comes and goes - my biggest issue is that MS has kicked in at a low level and the way it makes me feel is very similar to how anxiety makes me feel so my brain is interpreting the MS as anxiety and then I get all worked up. DH is doing his best but sometimes there isn't much to be done. I had an ultrasound last Tuesday and the baby is doing great - the next scan is at 12 weeks. I suppose that is where most of my anxiety lies - within an hour of the scan we'll be driving down to TX and I still don't have health care lined up because my benefits don't kick in until November. I called Marketplace and they were helpful and reassured me there would be something that would do prenatal care - but I can't apply until I have an address. So FX that application comes through this week...
Food wise - no real cravings - though I may now develop a stronger love of ginger ale...
---TW BFP and MC mentioned - scroll down past the Lilo and Stitch gif to avoid ---
Ugh -Welcome to the US Health care system @catiecatp! I'm sorry about the timing of everything. There should be a low-cost women's health type clinic in your area that should be able to help you if you need to get in for an emergency scan before your insurance kicks in. I would try to avoid going to the ER in that time because an ER visit are EXTREMELY expensive for the uninsured. Though I think insurance should retroactively cover your visit after it comes through, but it can be a nightmare getting it figured out. Fx crossed you will have a great 12 week u/s and no need to see an OB until after your insurance kicks in.
So happy to hear that your pregnancy is going well!!!
I miss you ladies so so much! Im always lurking and catching up on things. Don't be creeped out if you receive a random love-tit from me.... Anyway, we are working on making the grad board a cozy place for graduates! I've lurked my BMB and have decided I'll probably skip it.

2. Anxiety is high. I'm pretty crampy and have few symptoms besides sore boobs. I have an appointment with my PCP this week because my OB refuses to see me earlier than August. I'll be 7w2d at that appointment, and considering my other losses never get past 6.5 weeks in growth and I've never had good news that late in pregnancy, I'm freaking out. Otherwise, being PGAL after two losses is not that exciting. I'm fully expecting a bad outcome. I pray I'm wrong!
3. No major cravings, except I'm wanting unhealthy food more. Usually I don't have a taste for fried and fatty foods, but that's what I'm wanting lately.

Thanks for the tag @reneeannemm - so sorry to hear of your additional struggles. I'm rooting so hard for you!

2. The first few weeks were really hard. But after a clean NT screen and getting a Doppler so I can hear baby's heartbeat I have been feeling better. This is the furthest by far I have ever made it so I feel like my chances for a healthy pregnancy are as good as anyone else. I hope everyone hear reaches a good place with their PGAL anxiety soon!
3. I don't think my cravings have been strange per say but some things I've really enjoyed have been watermelon, Campbell's tomato soup with crackers, and simple salads with Olive Garden salad dressing, and the broth from oriental ramen. Not all at the same time of course ;-)
2. When I felt the baby move for the first time my pgal brain melted away. I have a doppler in case of a freak out, but it's been okay.
3. I have hyperemesis gravidarum so I just got back to the point where I can eat. My #1 right now is banana zucchini bread. I've had 4 pieces today and I can't get enough!

I'm 9w5d. I've had 2 scans so far and baby looks good, and we have passed the MC milestone from last time. I do have a small SCH, but the doctor is not terribly worried about it. Next scan to check on the SCH (and baby is at 11 weeks.
Not so much PGAL worry, but I am anxious about the 11 week genetics blood test.
Cravings - yes - more so than my previous pregnancies. Spicy food - I'm normally a mild salsa girl but I've been buying hot. Aversion to hot coffee. The other day I absolutely had to have a salad at 8 pm and so I delayed my kids' bedtimes and put them in the car to drive through Panera.

@16isourluckynumber - it is better I think, maybe having March 2017 call us out on it helped? - and it seems more confined to UO Thursdays and FFFC - so it is avoidable or at least predictable.

I'm 6wks 1d today and feeling pretty good because I'm starting to feel pretty awful :-)
Getting past the CP window was a huge relief. I've had 3 betas done over the last week and a half and hcg is doubling at a consistent rate of 1.7 days. My first US is on the 29th, at 8 weeks, which is when things usually started going downhill in the past, so I'm just taking it a day at a time until then. I'm starting to feel queasy more often, usually at night, go figure :-)
My BMB is okay, but it's hard sometimes to not want to scream at the blind optimism of mothers who have never experienced loss.
Edited because TB keeps eating my posts.
Also edited to add: Milk! I'm craving milk of all things. Big glasses of it which is so not like me.

Looks like I may belong on this thread now! I'm 4 weeks 5 days! Didn't get a BFP till 2 days past when my period was due, but I was using Wondos so who knows if they really worked. Calling the Obgyn tomorrow to see if I can come in this week for blood work. I'm having a hard time staying positive that the little bug will stick around.
This is my first appearance on this thread. I got a BFP last week, but wanted to wait until I got my beta results before participating. I'm happy to say that my numbers are doubling like they should and everything is right on track.

2. My anxiety comes and goes. Today I woke up feeling 100% normal, after several days of nausea and fatigue. That freaked me out. But then I got my lab results and felt at peace. I won't be able to rest easy until I see and hear that heartbeat when I go in for my first ultrasound on 8/15. Even then, I'll probably still worry.
3. No cravings or food aversions yet. I think it's still too early. But I do get pretty strong hunger pains in the pit of my stomach. They come on quick and I have to eat something immediately for relief.
6w1d today. Also happening today - I've made steps to contact a therapist who specializes in grief and loss and women's issues, so I'm eager to begin receiving professional support. Despite obvious pregnancy symptoms, I had a bad PgAL day yesterday and am tired of taking it out on DH (It's not been my only meltdown). He's so supportive and doesn't need me being down on myself when he's feeling genuinely optimistic this time around. My first OB appointment is in 9 days, so the sooner I can begin talking to a therapist, the better.
@dubcompanion I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you! I miss you on the board but so so happy you are moving on! Let us know the update of your appointment!!

Hi girls!! So happy to join this thread! I just got my bfp... So a little over 4 weeks, barely. Excited and happy for the possibility of a late March baby!
Had my first ultrasound today and everything looked great! I'm measuring right on track based on O 7w5d with a heart rate of 158. Seeing as how I never got to see the heart beat before, it was a wonderful moment for me. Hopefully this first milestone can keep the PGAL brain away for awhile. I miss you all very much and sending so many happy thoughts to everyone
@dubcompanion I feel ya with the TTCAL crazies. I'm so tired but can't sleep bc I just keep googling HCg levels, odds of misscarrage... And planning in my head when I will have my D&C with my business trip being the week of Aug 8th. I just can't let myself be happy for fear I'm going to jinx this thing. It's going to be a long week till my appointment in 7 days. If we don't get good news I'm definately going to need to see a therapist this time. Good for you on being so proactive!
