**Possible TW** You guys.... a woman my H works with is pregnant with her first child. She's full term. Her husband died of a massive heart attack in his sleep last night and she went into labor today. I am so incredibly heart broken for her. I don't know her so I can't really offer support or sympathy but I just can't imagine. She is living my worst nightmare and what I tell my H I fear the most almost daily. I hope she has a strong support system around her
Shit. This makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it. How awful.

Also, I just played matchmaker... saw a post on my nextdoor app about a guy needing to rehome his labradoodle puppy this morning. I took a screenshot and I sent it to my friend who has been searching high and low for a labradoodle puppy ..... and then she texted me this:
"out shopping for supplies with the newest member of our family. Thank you Anna!"

Jeezuz. This is horrible, I cannot even imagine...I have no words.
I can't even stand the N16 board. They get all pissy when people lurk from other BMBs but they'll lurk and screenshot when people talk shit about them. They've got too much drama. Our board can be a little uneventful sometimes, but I'm glad people here are mostly normal! I feel like I can actually talk to y'all instead of just getting sucked into a shitstorm. Lol
t how much crazy there might be when I signed up, but I've been pleasantly surprised!
Agreed! I know at the beginning a lot of people were like "this board is boring, there's no drama!" but I'm generally a fan of the minimal drama interactions!
I thought about straddling the October and November boards because my due date is so late and given that I'm a FTM I'm probably more likely to deliver in November than October anyway. All I will say is that I am glad I have made my home here. :-)

I'm SO CONFUSED by the latest comment on the baby name thread about the south?!?! And it looks like someone from Nov' 16 "loved" it? (Unless my mobile app is messing up the profile pics...I recognized the pic bc I just went on the Nov board to read what @sjo_thetwins was talking about). What is happening.

My thoughts exactly. What is going on with that thread?
I love even more that members of our community are contributing. On a baby name thread.
I know, what the heck? I don't understand why some people bother being a part of a community if they have nothing positive to add. Hence my FFFC from earlier today.
Abso-freaking-lutely! The other upside is that the speech language pathologist and the teacher observing him say they highly doubt he's autistic (another huge relief) but that he definitely has sensory issues (As I've been suspecting). They gave me some tips and told me about things they can do in the classroom for him. We're still going to pursue other sensory and autism screening to cover bases, but those were welcome opinions.
I know we are a LONG way from our babys eating but I've been playing with the idea of making my own baby food, and before I put the baby bullet on my registry I had a question for any BTDT moms. How did your homemade food keep and for how long? Did you find it to be cheaper or more expensive?
Edit because I have been leaving words out in all of my post lately and my spelling has been bad as well.

@Ashleymn FTM here but I'm planning to do the same. I found some helpful articles on Pinterest. Any advice from those who have done it would be awesome too

I never considered doing this but apparently my mom plans to buy me the baby bullet when the time comes. I tend to be lazy when it comes to food prep, so I'm curious as to these answers as well. Also, was it a time consuming process? Would it be practical for a busy mom who works outside the home?
@Ashleymn my friend did it and I initially thought she was crazy bc it was so much work, but it really wasn't. She got a baby food maker that steamed and puréed the food all in one. She's buy a bag of apples, carrots, things like that so it was cheap. She had a bunch of little storage containers and would pull a few days worth out at a time to thaw in the fridge. So, in short, I'd have to google to see about length of storage, but seeing a friend do it first hand, I think it's worth it. I plan to do it

Re: Inappropriate thread- I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping for a less obvious troll, more flame and creativity.

I'm guessing her toddler is sleeping or home life must be pretty boring to be stirring the pot over something so minuscule.
Edit: Also want to add congrats to @TurtleMomma. must be a weight off your shoulders.
