I bought a dress at the last minute for my shower this past weekend and now I want to live in it. It was $20 and it's not maternity but it fits perfectly. I wore it pretty much all weekend. I was sad when I had to put pants on this morning.

This has been me the entire pregnancy. I'll find something that fits perfectly and is beyond comfortable, so I'll just live in it. I can't recommend this dress enough; I wore it so often that I just bought it in another color. I may not wear anything else for the next 5ish weeks! (Plus it's on on sale right now)
My husband leaves today for 3 weeks. I'm due in 5 weeks. I'm petrified of him not making it home in time since it's not uncommon for them to go out longer than expected. Especially since we'll have minimal communication and he won't be able to get home very quick.
Is it bad that I'm not washing LO clothing. Is that being nasty? Hand me downs have been washed from the sender already. Never crossed my mind until I saw a lot of you doing it!

I don't think it's bad per se but I just do it to be sure any of the chemicals from being made are washed away.
@randishane011804 hahaha me too! I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's been in the 80s and 90s for over a month now in NC. We barely got a spring and now it's going to be hot until the end of September.
I've concluded that in order for me to be efficient at work, it requires me at an obtuse or straight angle & for me not to feel any pain since LO hasn't dropped yet...

Thanks for the tip @RachelT1234 !! I have one of these already and love them. At $11 each with free shipping... I couldn't resist buying 2 more right now.

I didn't realize you were from NC. I'm in Winston.
I had a dream that my boobs were shooting out milk like Old Faithful and it wouldn't stop. It was so violent and crazy and I couldn't control it. Then I woke up to leaky boobs. Great.
All of the people in my friend circle who had due dates a week or two before me all delivered their babies this weekend, it's making me super nervous! We just moved and are still in the middle of unpacking and waiting for nursery furniture! I think it finally hit me LO can arrive any day now!

Yeah I understand! Tennessee over here! We barely get 3 seasons. Period. lol!
What apps do y'all use for monthly/weekly pictures that have fun editing? I found one the other day that allowed for monthly baby pictures with cute rulers for length and stuff, but I can't remember the name to download it now! Help!
Along the same lines of complaining about the heat.....we hit 108 a couple of days ago. Today is a rather balmy 98 degrees right now though. I don't even wanna know how hot it's going to be in July/August, which is typically the hottest part of the summer. Also, I dont' wanna know what my electric bill is going to be like!! It doesn't really start cooling off in H-town until November!
I miss pre pregnancy sex it's just not nearly as fun or comfy anymore!!!!
This!! I haven't enjoyed sex at all during this entire pregnancy and DH has been so patient and understanding. Although the closer I get to my due date the more worried I am that sex won't be the same after pregnancy either :-/

MH joked the other day that he hasn't enjoyed sex in 9 months. I kinda called him on it and he got all defensive and said well it's really awkward, don't you think? I'll admit, it has been awkward, and I haven't enjoyed it at all but I've been doing it for him and now I find out he hasn't been enjoying it. I feel guilty somehow for not making it better for him when he's been a Rockstar taking care of me lately. I'm looking forward to post-pregnancy and hopefully finding our new normal sex life.
@lalamilk When I was induced with DD the hospital I delivered at would only let me have popsicles or soup broth. To be honest, my induction was so quick (about 9 hours start to finish) the popsicles were enough to hold me over.
@Shelby00519 PP sex was better for me after DS1! Breastfeeding/leaking makes it a little awkward but as long as your husband isn't weirded out by it its okay! I think our sex life PP (and especially after I was done nursing) was better than ever!
Re Sex: I've found an awesome position. I put all the pillows we have in a pile, lie over it and DH goes from behind. I also put a vibrator on my clit (I can't do without clit stimulation) and it's awesome. TMI: this is the only position that I don't pee when I orgasm because it takes Bean's weight off my pelvic floor and DH gets the booty view he likes.
@Jodi1980 It's recommended to prewash clothes because the clothing manufacturers put chemicals in the clothes to make them look smooth and stiff on the hangers and babies tend to have sensitive skin. I don't prewash my own clothes (and I also don't use baby detergent and never had a problem).
I'm 38 weeks today and totally wanted to go into labor today cause summer solstice, full moon, Strawberry Moon... I thought it'd be cool. Alas, there are zero signs of anything happening so I'll wait...

What do you mean you won't do anything it takes for your child to have a cool birthday and possibly have complications (unlikely though at 38 weeks) just because you want it to happen?!? Lol. Haven't you read all the random threads? Their might be some advice there too. SMH.
@Puddles03 come on, it was a joke. Kinda like "oh wouldn't that be cool cause this phenomenon happens once every however many years. But nothing is happening so I guessssss I'll wait, *sarcastic eye roll*" I've read and participated in those threads.
@rakel88 I was hoping for the same thing! Oh well. I guess the force of the moon wasn't enough to get us started! I'm a little hopeful it's not all that far away because my weight is finally leveling off and I'm even losing a little bit. Fingers crossed!
