New week, new random thread?
A week and a half left to go and I'm just tired of people commenting on my feet/ankles. And also randos who just ask, "What are you having?" There is no need for us to conversate, random stranger. What does it matter to you anyway?
Sorry for my Monday grumpies.
Re: Weekly Randoms 5-16
Also, I finally watched Breaking Bad now that I'm awake for 20 hours a day and it totally lived up to all the hype.
@LadySamLady - I'm planning on getting bluetooth headphones for TV watching to try to fix this problem, because until baby can pay attention to screens, I plan on watching so much TV. I mean, we'll see if I actually get around to buying them, but that's the tentative plan.
@KyleeWaller It amazes me how judgy people are. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I swear someone at the store the other day looked at my belly, then at my ring finger (which is naked right now because my fingers are just chubby enough to where my ring won't fit).
I mean, I know it happens, because people here post about it. But if you guys didn't post about it, I would have no idea that that was even a thing. It's not something I've ever encountered, and when I mention it to my friends in real life, they're all like "huh I wouldn't even think to look."
Not that this is any kind of huge earthshattering revelation, I just think it's one of those weird little moments where I encounter a different set of experiences and realize that people live different day-to-day lives than I do.
I'm just going to go ahead and hallucinate that that's a sign of impending labor for real this time. I'm sure I'll be due for a sad disillusionment when it poops out in a few hours, but until then I will continue to cherish my two-days-overdue-goddamnit-you're-wasting-my-maternity-leave-here-kid delusions, thank you very much.
@KyleeWaller & @clbness YES to the judgey-ness! I basically get judged any time I have clients with me as it is, but to be 9.5+ months pregnant and without my wedding ring it's even worse. (Not to mention I worked in yoga pants and tennis shoes today.) I took a client to get his State ID today and there was a woman that kept pointing to my belly...as if I didn't see her. So rude.
I crack myself up by giving super inappropriate answers to stranger's inappropriate questions. I had my older daughters as a college student so I've been fielding the question of how old I am for years. I tell everyone who asks that question that I was a teen mother because I like to f**k. People then look really uncomfortable, and usually shut up.
And @AliciaD39 - after two weeks the worst of the bleeding was over, and by one month I was in the clear again.
@valerie4786 I haven't had anyone point (that I've seen)! Why in the world would a grown woman do that?
@bkjade that is so rude! How entitled people think they are to know your personal business just astounds me. I recently had a family friend of a friend ask if I was "capable" of 'a natural birth because of my size, which I now think was extremely rude but at the time just confused me!
I am happy that they are observing him though!
I know that there are some ladies that had their babies away from them - how did you cope? Cause I feel like crying.
One, I've been mad that he's been starting projects that don't NEED to be done prior to the baby being born instead of enjoying some of our last days together. Two, this one thing I am asking for will literally take 15 seconds. So mad. I told him to forget it and that I would just do it myself (I won't).
Apparently I get ragey when I'm 39w5d pregnant!
