I don't even want to read about them. I thought it was basic and common knowledge that if something that isn't supposed to leave your body till you're pretty much giving birth, you should be calling your doctor or at least going in and making sure everything is ok. Nope, lets ask random internet strangers their medical diagnosis.

Mucus plug and bloody show are still two of the most unsettling pregnancy terms that exist.

@LadyFleck my doctor now asks me if my discharge has changed at all, and I'm pretty sure asked around 28 weeks or so. Figured if she just asking about that then, if the whole thing comes out I should be making a phone call. To me it would be like my water breaking early but writing it off like I just peed my pants. I can go in next week for my apt, because you know...an hour wait time is just "crazy".

@thepen15ismighty Mine asks if I've experienced any gushes of fluid. Ummmm I'm pretty sure I would've called, lady. Unless I had to wait on hold for more than two min. Then obviously I would just go about my business.

My husband, who has frequently been shoulder deep in cow lady bits, is extremely grossed out by the mucus plug and bloody show even existing.

I had a dream last night that my husband and I were at a concert or something and he went to get something to drink. A drunk ass douche came up to me and started rubbing his junk on my leg. I kindly told him to fuck off and he started hitting me in the stomach. I begged him to stop and told him I was pregnant. He told me it was "no big deal" and left. My husband came back and I told him what happened and he said he would kill him. Then I woke up.

Fuck these dreams, man. My heart can't take that shit.

On the serious note though...is it weird I haven't called my nurse line? I'm a boring pregnant person  

my snark for today is on my H. He was kinda dismissive to me last night when I wasn't feeling well, left me in the house with no dinner or food to make dinner, and went out with his friends (who also brought their SOs-why he didn't invite me idk). This morning he wakes up with a migraine and pukes from it. Karma's a bitch, babe! Take care of your preggo wife.

Why would you need to call the nurse line? There's plenty of experienced pregnant ladies on here who can answer all our questions....

I also haven't called, but I haven't had anything outside of the normal aches and pains.

That's what I figure too. Only thing annoying so far is the pressure in the middle of my chest, just under my bra strap. Figured its just heartburn/reflux/pressure from a smaller torso and no room for my organs. If it was stabbing pain I would call. Plus with all the multiple things people are posting in the symptoms thread, you can kinda tell what are normal pregnancy annoyances and what aren't.

I never called the nurses line last time or this time. I am still at monthly appts because I am so boring

I'm in the no call club. I consider myself lucky that I haven't had a need for it yet.

The only time I called with my first was when I had a migraine with neuro symptoms at 39.5 weeks. They advised me to come in and the cure ended up being inducing birth. So I don't count that. 

Havent called once this time.

I just got notice from my school that they won't give me financial aid for this summer. I planned on taking two courses to offset the fact that I'll be out for the Fall. Ah well..my husband thinks it's for the better because I'm barely functioning now and it will only get harder. Guess I'll get back to class next year.

That is a bummer, I'm sorry. I stopped my classes when my daughter was born and still haven't been back. Maybe we can motivate each other in the fall!

I have only call my nurse line/after hour lines a few times.  Such as the 103 fever two hours after tynelol,  trouble breathing, and being exposed to 5th disease.  Everything else can wait.

I've only called the doctor on duty line once during first tri when I was worreid about spotting, other than that I haven't called it. But I'm guessing if I was ever in doubt I would call them first before posting a speshul post on here about whatever I'm feeling.

I went to the post office to pick up some packages they couldn't deliver yesterday. The notice said to be there after 1pm, I got there at 12:50 and was scolded then told everything was ready. I get I was a few minutes early but if you have it there do I, a grown woman, really need to be scolded like an errant child?  Especially since you had the stuff there

Wtf internet company? I put in my order to have installation done 3 weeks ago and never received a confirmation of install date (my choices were today, tomorrow or Friday). Call them up today and apparently they were confused about me being in apartment number 5... even though it was stated on the address when I put it in. Crossing my fingers they get it expedited and can actually install it this week. No TV at home and both hubby and I are gamers and are dying to play something together. More importantly, I will be working from home while on Maternity leave and NEED to have this set up ahead of time in case of early labor, bed rest, ect.

WTF 160% interest charge. My building just alerted me to a $100 dollar month to month fee on top of my rent. Since it was apparently due by the 3rd they charged me $260.  We're moving from Austin to DC asap after I give birth so couldn't renew our lease. Awesome being your pay day loan guys.

Yes! If I was doing an online program, I would definitely go back in the Fall but my butt has to physically be in a classroom so I just can't swing it any earlier that that.

WTF to the doctor's office where a simple scan to check my placental location took over 3 hours. 95% of that was sitting waiting. It's completely disrespectful to patients to be so flippant with their time.

@dolewhipper that's not boring, it's grand.  I've only called with things that were too abnormal to not be concerned about, or medication issues.  If you have no abnormal concerns, regular appointments are all you need.  

In other news, why do I always have to get blindsided with the term "mucus plug" right as I'm going to eat something.  GAG ME.
