Anyone have any magic for helping keep a pacifier in? We use Avent Soothies, but of course if it drops out she gets upset. Obviously if we're holding her we just keep it there ourselves, but if she's in the RnP sometimes I'm able to help position her hands so she can kind of hold it in herself... not often enough though sadly.
MAM pacis are amazing, they're $5.99 for 2 and I usually get a $5 rewards coupon from BRU so it ends up being $0.99
Soothies kindof suck in my opinion. Ezra can't even suck on them without them popping out. Mam all the way!
I'm with you. I'm using MAM bottles too so she loves the pacis as well. My LO has discovered her thumb the last few days and I don't like it. She's sucking on it constantly just for her own enjoyment. I try to replace with a paci when I can but it doesn't always work!
The soothies are the only ones Aria will take. She gives us this "what the heck is this garbage" face and spits any others out haha.
Is it weird that I feel super proud of her when she manages to suck her thumb? It's just so darn cute and she looks so happy! Plus, I don't havecto worry about her having a meltdown without a paci (my husband calls them a "chupy") at night if she has her thumb as an option...

I think it's totally adorable as well but I'm so paranoid about extended thumb sucking and potential teeth problems. I sucked my thumb a lot as a baby and young child, for many years! I've ended up needing a lot of dental work because I had a bad overbite likely due to all the thumb sucking. This mama is trying to be frugal and avoid dental bills by encouraging the paci instead
I'm giving into the hand/thumb. She won't take a pacifier, and I've read that it's actually good news in that once they discover their hand, they can start self soothing. I still try to encourage a pacifier, but she just loves that hand in her mouth. What am I going to do, tape it to her back?
We took Ezra to the beach today and it was so windy the poor kids got sand everywhere, even his eyes and ears! It doesn't seem to bother him (he was actually trying to eat it) but I'm wondering what is the best way to get it cleaned out? Wet wipe? Dunk him in a bath? Shower?
My baby will only take MAM. We have like a zillion Soothies, but she spits them out after one second. Money well spent.
You had a lip tie too right? My LC told me the mam is best for ties bc they have a narrow nipple.
This is exactly why my LO loves them too. They're nice and narrow and she has a little mouth like her mama! I think they're awesome and they look adorable in their mouths too...because that's important right?

I was a huge thumb sucker and had to have a lot of dental work because of it.
