@lilmisslp, my protocol initially had me on it for 2-3 weeks but they ordered some additional testing to include a hysteroscopy during that time so I ended up being on it for almost 2 months prior to starting my injections. Do you have any additional testing during that time?
@lin681 I'm so sorry to hear that your beta didn't rise. I've been there a few times (during IUIs) and it is just heartbreaking to hear that news.
It seems like quite a few of us are just waiting for AF to arrive to get our shows on the road for FETs!
AFM - Got a call late yesterday that two more embies were frozen for a total of 8! I was not expecting that at all! @tusername, it seems like 8 might be our lucky number! I am not so patiently waiting for AF and had a really crappy night sleep. Not sure if it's all the hormone changes from stopping PIO and estrace or if AF is on her way, or both.
Hey ladies. Sorry to those that had failed IVF/FET this month. . I am currently doing our first IVF now (on birth control), we will be doing the ER around June 1st and then hopefully a 5 day transfer after that! Hoping this is a successful month for all of us!

Hi all! The month of May hasn't been kind to my family. This week, we were at the ER twice for my husband. The short version is that my husband likely has an infection in the sperm tube, which appears to be caused from the Hand, Foot, & Mouth virus that was unkind to us last week. He has a follow up appt with a urologist Monday. We will find out then if it might be more, if he may have to have surgery (which could be the removal of a testicle, etc). Given the range of possibilities yesterday, we are on the better range and cancer has been ruled out. However, we have male factor infertility (besides my age of course), so my husband is concerned about the impact for our IVF. I may not be participating in July IVF now...we will see. I'm just happy that the worst case scenario we had an option for is not an option anymore
Hey ladies! I've been MIA this week as I was camping from Sunday through Thursday. Glad to be back and see how everyone is progressing. I saw all the great freeze reports, which is awesome! I hope everyone is doing well, and getting ready for the coming two months!
I think I may actually start a period on my own soon. I've had a little bit of bleeding every day since Tuesday, but nothing like full flow. It seems like it's been upped today, so hopefully tomorrow will be CD1 and I can get into my clinic on Sunday or Monday, then get started on an FET cycle! I've decided that I'd like to transfer my remaining three embies, and I'm going to push my doc to allow it.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

@stranzm oh no! You have had a rough month so far! Very glad the worst case scenario was ruled out but that's still crappy news to get. You and DH will be in my thoughts and prayers for good news on Monday.
@aanddm2014 hopefully AF starts soon for you! Hope you had an awesome camping trip!
AFM, AF started yesterday and I got my protocol for FET. Will start BCPs on Monday for 25 days with a transfer date of June 30!! Will be doing IM estrogen shots every three days starting June 11 and then PIO for 6 days prior to FET. We are busy almost every weekend from here until then so it'll go by quickly!
I was away for a few days and am back again! AF arrived pn Thursday and I've started my minivelle estradiol patches. I'll see my dr on Thursday for an u/s and hopefully everything will look good! @mtpbadger That’s great news! 8! So happy AF showed up and you’re starting up for your FET!

@Tusername and @mtpbadger Yay for AF! Mine started Saturday, and I was so excited. Waiting for IF treatments has to be the ONLY thing in the world that makes us THIS excited to see our periods start...
AFM, I had my baseline today, and we got the green light for a new FET cycle. Woo hoo!!! I started e-patches today and will add Ganirelix next week. PIO and suppositories start May 30, and transfer is June 4! I am feeling really optimistic and hopeful for this cycle - it feels like things are really starting to come together. I'm just hoping to keep feeling positive and strong moving forward.

No real update at the urologist appointment today. The urologist is stumped, and he said that we need to wait a couple of weeks and re-run tests to help narrow the options. However, he did say if my husband has double over pain again, he knows what it is and gave us his cell # bc my husband would need surgery within 6 hours to save his testicle. He said to NOT go to the ER bc that could waste that time ... after 2 trips last week, I agree!
So, for us, I'm not sure. Urologist said to go ahead with IVF in July. AF has still yet to make an appearance (almost 2 months ... never happened in my life before). I can't even imagine my husband doing his part at this point. I told him that if he isn't significantly better by next week, we'll postpone to August at least.
Oh, and did I mention that I think my coping mechanism to distract myself from the failed FET in March was buying a new house? Seriously. And our house hasn't sold, so I'm starting to stress about the massive amount of money being spent this summer. Fingers crossed for multiple items: an offer on my lovely home, AF to arrive, and my husband to just have a nasty infection from the Hand, Foot & Mouth virus. Sigh!!
So, at this point, I think I'll keep up on you guys and send well wishes for very successful rounds!
@stranzm I hope your house sells quickly so you don't have the added stress. I love reading everyone's updates. We haven't order our meds yet and won't start them until July so I feel s little out of the loop but still enjoy hearing about everyone else's process. Some of you are very close which is so exciting!

@lilmissslp we haven't ordered our meds yet either. I need to get AF first so they have an updated cd3 panel done and DH needs a new sa and his infectious diseas bw done. Once we have those done they'll set our ER date and work backwards from there. I don't get AF on my own so I am hoping I don't need to take estrace for 20 days to get that going. I'll know more next week when I do an US to see what my lining looks like.
@ale9687 it always feels like there is so much waiting and so much to figure out! I work in the schools so I wanted to be done for the summer before I started. Thought it would be easier to go to all the appointments and probably a little less stressful. However, I am so anxious to get started. Meds will be ordered at the end of this month and I have no idea what the protocol will be. I'll be anxious to hear about your ultrasound so you can figure out when you'll be getting started.

@lilmissslp I personally regret the decision to do a fresh transfer. My body wasn't ready to accept a pregnancy, so I feel like I wasted the two best looking embryos, and what if those were the only two normal ones (I've transferred 6 total and none have stuck around long). If I could go back in time I would not do a fresh transfer. Yes, waiting sucks, but waiting until your uterus is ready to accept a pregnancy is more important.
AFM - Still waiting for AF to show up. I've had spotting on and off, plus a little bit heavier flow but not full flow, for 8 days now. So frickin frustrating! And of course my clinic can't/won't do anything for me.

@aanddm2014 still no AF? Ugh, I'm sorry your still waiting for it to show up. FX that it makes a full appearance soon!
@cmm012 hope you're recovering well! 32 eggs?! Holy moly! No wonder you were uncomfortable? Any update on how many fertilized? I'll be doing an FET as well and I think it was the best thing just to relax and not have to think about IF for a little bit. I'll be on BCPs for 25 days so while it stinks to wait, I'll have a nice little break.
@radmom27 FX for a positive on Friday! I hope you won't have to join us but it looks like there are quite a few of us that will be doing FETs in June.
AFM - Started BCPs on Monday so I won't have much to report until middle of June when I go in for baseline and start the Delestrogen. I'm using this little break to try and get back to eating healthy and working out and just get in a good spot physically and mentally before the FET. It has rained every day for basically the last 3 weeks so that is NOT helping my motivation for working out though!
@lilmisssp I'll be doing fresh 5d also unless I over stim or my lining is too thin. I know ppl who had success with a fresh transfer with my Re so I trust his judgement. I would just ask your re how he/she is going to make sure you're ready for the fresh transfer.
Thanks for the positive words @ale9687. I just spoke with someone last night that was also successful with a fresh transfer. It really helps to trust your RE.

@chicandbubbly congrats on starting meds on Monday! The first night can be overwhelming but then you will be a pro! I put each night of meds in a sandwhich/snack baggie (needles; alcohol prep pads; meds; gauze pad, etc.) and found that really helped since each night I just had to grab the bag and it was all there. As my dose was adjusted I also wrote the does of each med on the outside of the baggie to keep track.
Update on my ER: 32 eggs retrieved, 24 were mature, 12 were fertilized (by choice) and are growing. 7 eggs were frozen (by choice) 5 eggs were not usable.
Good luck to @chicandbubbly for starting meds. You can do this!

Congrats @cmm012! 7 frozen embies is a great number to work with!
@chicandbubbly I stored all my meds on one shelf in the fridge, and didn't put anything else on it. I used a sharpie to write the dosages on the tops of the pills bottles so I would know how many to take each day, which I then put into a pill organizer. I kept my day of procedure meds separate, so I wouldn't have to think about/see them until I had to take them. During my last cycle I ended up putting the needles, syringes and alcohol swabs in cups on my kitchen counter, which is where we do injections. It was nice to have them all lined up and visible.
@mtpbadger Kudos to you for using this time to try and eat a bit better. I too am using my down time to try and get my diet in check. So far I feel I've done well at reducing sugar, which is a big factor for my diagnosis. It is tough to change your eating habits, especially when you have to feed a spouse. I hope your DH is getting on the healthy habits train with you! And hopefully the rain lets up soon so you can have some sunshine!

Hi @wifeinraleigh28 ! I'm excited you'll get to start up with IVF soon!
--- I had my check in u/s today. RE says my ovaries are still a little stimulated from ER because they are still larger than normal. But he says that is no big deal and they will be normal size soon. I also have a small cyst but he says that too will take care of itself. So, for now I am doubling my Minivelle patches (doing 4 every 3.5 days now) and will check in with him again in one week. @lilmissslp I had almost exactly 8 weeks between my fresh transfer date and my first FET. I was a bit slow to respond to the estrace though, so that delayed it by about a week.

FET cycle #3 Transfer July 28th 2016, Triplets born healthy on February 26th 2017 at 33w1d!

@stranzm FX your house sells quickly! Hopefully your DH will continue to improve over the next week and you won't have to delay your cycle.

Good luck!!

---
I had my check in u/s today. FET will be in approximately 2 weeks!
