GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?

R/R/CS: Question for those whose DH/SO's have had SA's. Mine is going tomorrow morning to do it on-site. He's a little apprehensive I think (but being a really good sport). Did any of you go WITH him to the SA? He said he's not bothered either way, but I'm wondering if my presence would be a help or a hindrance. Someone told me that at some places you can actually go IN and 'help' but is that the norm?
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food? I spent most of my 20's working on cruise ships, and Cozumel is one of my favourite places in the world, with Playa del Carmen (right across on the mainlaind) a close second. I love everything about those places and I'm sad that some people up here have a negative view of the safety of vacationing in Mexico. We spent a lot of time off the beaten path in those areas (when we were off duty, the last place we wanted to be was where the passengers were!) and I'd love to go back and spend some quality time anywhere on the Mayan Riviera. Mexican food I love, and I'm trying to come up with something fun for dinner tonight . Eta: I have meetings at 8:00am, 10:00am and 12:30pm. The one at 12:30 is going to be long, boring and drawn out. I would probably need a margarita to go with my Mexican dinner.

@MelissaM090 This is a good question! I'm curious too! DH was able to do his SA sample at home, and I transported it to the clinic. But we are a few days away from our first IUI, and he has to physically be at the clinic for that sample. I'm really worried he'll have trouble because he'll feel uncomfortable. He's actually asked me if I can go and help. If you find out, let me know! I know the "rules" could be different at our clinics, but it'll give me an idea! FX for all good results!

WAYDTGKU: Letrozole (Femara) Day 4.
R/R/CS: So I think I've really gone off the deep end! Last night I had some cramp-like feelings in my ovaries, and I thought for a split second (okay, maybe I googled it too) 'can I feel follicles developing on Letrozole....?' Then I snapped out of it and forced myself to get off the phone and go to bed. Tomorrow is the last day of the Letrozole, and then I'll have to wait until Monday morning to see if I've responded.
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food? I don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo. I have zero Mexican heritage. I've never been to Mexico, though totally not opposed. And I LOVE me some Mexican good. Like....ridiculously love Mexican food.
WAYDTGKU: acupuncture, pnv and some other extra supplements recommended by the acupuncturist
R/R/CS: we are going to visit my in laws in California so I'm gonna be taking a break from temping while there. My cycles are long and i think a 10 day temping break would be good.

I am not Mexican but I love tacos, quesadillas and queso fundido. We are leaving for our trip tomorrow so I will be packing tonight instead of ordering margaritas. I love Mexico! I actually officiated a friend's destination wedding in Tulum.

@MelissaM090@mrsdaddario When my H went for his SA, he went alone. I think the "rules" about helping would vary from clinic to clinic, but I don't think it's the norm. DH never asked me to go with him, and it honestly never occurred to me to go. But he later said that he felt really uncomfortable being there alone, because that meant that everyone "knew" what he was there to do, so maybe going, even just for support, would help.

R/R/CS: I feel like days 8-14ish are a Clomid fog. I have headaches and just feel groggy and weird, for lack of a better word. It could be worse, but I can't wait to get to O. Last month was my first time using the HCG trigger, and I felt like a million bucks from then on. I didn't notice it until about 9-10 DPO, but I didn't have a single headache. I usually get them at least twice a week.
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food? Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food? I celebrate Cinco de Mayo in the sense that we will be eating tacos and drinking margaritas tonight. I'm actually using a pork carnitas recipe someone had posted on here awhile ago! Can't remember who though... I do not have any Mexican heritage, but the town I live in does have a large Mexican population, so there is a big Cinco de Mayo festival downtown this weekend, which is always fun! The demographic of my town also means there are several really delicious and authentic Mexican restaurants--I loooove Mexican food! I have been to Mexico twice, but only to the really touristy areas (i.e., Cancun).

R/R/CS: Well, my temp went up this morning, but not enough for me to be convinced I O'd yesterday. We'll see what happens tomorrow and Saturday--it's probably doing that "slow rise" thing that it has done in some of my past cycles. I'm a little worried that if I have O'd that I'm not taking progesterone yet....sigh. But I also don't want to possibly delay O if it hasn't happened. Boo. Maybe I'll just say eff it and if temp goes up again tomorrow I'll start the progesterone.
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
My coworkers always celebrate this day by getting margaritas after work, and usually I join. I am going to skip tonight because I don't want to drink and mess up my temp tomorrow morning, and I want to avoid any "why is she not drinking" chatter, lol. I think most Americans have no clue why Cinco de Mayo is celebrated--I didn't know until I looked it up last year!!--and often mistake it for Mexican Independence Day, which is actually Sep 16--they just use it as an excuse to drink (which is a-ok with me) But, the history is well worth noting: https://latinamericanhistory.about.com/od/thehistoryofmexico/p/10cincodemayobasics.htm I've never been to Mexico but I would love to go--and hells to the yes, give me Mexican food any day!!!

I was in Mexico City for a wedding a few years ago. Loved the city, sadly the marriage didn't last. as a part time bartender I really do not like Cinco de Mayo - as it brings be crazy out in people lol. However it is the only time of year I would ever order a Corona or a margarita. I do love me some Tacos though! No Mexican heritage here. Corn beef and cabbage is more my thing lol

GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food? don't celebrate it, never have.
WAYDTGKU: Charting CM and BBT. Using Preseed as well, which we tested out even though I'm not yet in my fertile phase. We LOVE how it feels. It is very comparable to a less sperm-friendly type that we really like.
R/R/CS: I have a work baby shower to attend today, but at least I'm just a guest. I had to host the last two, since the pregnant women were on my team. Not that I mind necessarily, but I much prefer leaving when I want instead of staying to clean up.
We had 4 pregnant women at my school this year, and two are teammates. If another person tells me, "You're next," I may scream. It makes me feel stabby. (Yes, that's a mood.)
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
I'm not the world traveler my husband is (his band travels around), but I've been to Mexico twice. Both times, I took cruises to Cozumel and Progreso. It's great for budget-friendly traveling. I really loved seeing the ruins at Uxmal outside of Progreso. I'd love to go again, and I've already told my husband that I'm ready for the next cruise.
WAYDTGKU: just waiting for now. DH has a cold and I've got AF for at least today.
R/R/CS: Ohmygod had the hardest boot camp today. I'm still shaking. I'm surprised at how out of shape I am but I know that I'm now already one day closer to getting back to where I want to be. H's grandma passed away last week so we are headed to FL this weekend. It'll be nice to have awesome weather and spend some time with his family. So far I'm enjoying the no temping...let's see how long that actually lasts though.
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food? Happy Cinco de Mayo!!! I grew up in So Cal so Cinco de Mayo was always a big celebration. I'm not Mexican but Mexican food is some of my favorite. I think growing up in So Cal spoiled me because I can't eat crappy Mexican food. And I'm super picky about it.
WAYDTGKU: PNV, diet, exercise, acupuncture, and HIO the next few days.
R/R/CS: Nothing really. Whole30 is tough. I hit a wall yesterday where nothing sounded good and I was nauseated by every food around me, but I grabbed an apple and forced myself to eat. It made me feel better. I'm feeling better this morning, but we shall see how the next three or four days go.
GTKY:
Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate

Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food? DH is half Mexican. I am a quarter. Neither of us really celebrate it. Most of my Mexican students are very confused by Cinco de Mayo. It would be like celebrating the Battle of the Alamo here in the US. It's not their Independence Day, it's just the day to celebrate a famous battle. Since it is so popular here, we do have opportunities for students of Mexican heritage to go to different cultural events this week, which means most of my students are gone this week. I am perfectly okay with that. There is a big parade on Saturday to celebrate, and most of my kids are either performing or going. I think I might go this year, I've never been before. H and I went to Puerto Vallarta for our honeymoon and it was magical. The people that lived there were so proud of their country and seemed personally invested in us having a good time. It was lovely. They had fried plantains, which were amazing. We definitely want to go back, but maybe after this whole Zika thing has passed. And don't even get me started on Mexican food. I could talk about this all day! Tamales, quesadillas, tacos, burritos, salsa, guacamole. Yum! Now I'm hungry!
WAYDTGKU: last round of Clomid, then we are going to take a TTC "break"
R/R/CS: I found our yesterday our new insurance has a $4K deductible. If we start fertility treatments now, we will have to pay for everything up front, then if I get pregnant, have to start all over again in the new year. $8K in less than a year (assuming it even works), is more than we have to spend right now. We are going to do this last round of Clomid, and if doesn't work, we are going to take a break from medical intervention and just see what happens until January. I am using this time to just continue to get in better shape, lose some weight, and save money.
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food? Nope, don't celebrate it, but I love Mexican! It's my second favorite right after Asian (Thai!!)

@melissam090 my DH did his SA at his primary care doctors office (as opposed to the RE office). He said it was just a doctor's office room and he basically had to just get it done. For our IUI's he goes to the lab section of the RE office and the room there has magazines and all that fun stuff to help I have not been with him any of the times. I have also not heard of anyone "helping". Every DH is different but I think my presence would make it more difficult for him to perform on the spot. Also, the time scheduled for our IUI drop off/procedure gives him plenty of time to finish so it's not like he has to do it in 10 min and they are knocking on the door haha.

I totally get the holiday starting with Mexico citizens/descendants celebrating here when they learned of the victory, but I don't celebrate.

She was surprisingly concerned and wanted me in to see her right away so I'm freaking out. I thought we weren't supposed to worry til 90 days? I also can't actually get to see her til the end of the month so going to continue to freak out til then. Question: Am I wrong on the 90 days? I'm sure that if you get pregnant, the time you have to take off won't matter AS much as you think. But, I'm a teacher too, so I know that it always matters a lot. It's harder to plan for a sub than it is to be at school when you're sick.
@Dilynne My doctor won't let me go past 60 days. I used to wait 90 but she said I could call for Provera sooner as long as I took an HPT prior to calling. I'm thinking it could be at the discretion of the doctor.

So Mother's day is coming up and I've been thinking about it all week. We are going to our church with H's family (since we moved so we don't get to go very often anymore but all of our friends are there) and of course they're having special stuff to celebrate the moms. I brought it up to DH last night about when they have all the moms stand up in the service. Our closest friends know about my loss but not the whole church. So I'm torn because I am a mom but I don't want half the church asking if I'm PG right now... Also it's been really hard this week knowing I should be PG right now, almost 18 weeks. And knowing several friends have gotten KU since my loss. My SIL will be there on Sunday and she's had 2 losses so that helps me knowing if I lose it I have someone who knows how I'm feeling.
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
I don't celebrate it but with the way I'm feeling I might get some drinks tonight. I don't have any heritage but my brother-in-law is Mexican. I've never been there but wouldn't mind going one day. I LOVE Mexican food! I love making my own guacamole!
WAYDTGKU: bbt, opk and when husband gets home today from being out of town for a few days we are having ALL the sex
R/R/CS: My mom is watching DD for a few days starting this afternoon. DH badly needs my help to finish up his thesis and last semester of grad school. So, crappy mothers day for me this year. But, this is life. it makes me sad to leave DD for 3 days, especially because I just left her for the first big 5 day trip not even a month ago. But, when I really think about it I just realized I will be able to sleep in with DH, that has not happened in 2.5 years since she was born. So, maybe it won't be all bad.
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food? I am not Mexican at all. I went to Mexico once in high school, with my family. it was awesome. I hope to get to go again soon. My mom goes for a month every year to work at a counseling ministry down there. Maybe I will tag along one of these times. I had a Mexican roommate for a few months right out of high school. I learned from her that Mexican don't actually celebrate Cinco De Mayo at all. So, we don't really either. I do make tacos often, but that is because I make tacos a lot anyway. With DD gone tonight though, margaritas might have to happen.

@Dilynne The general consensus around here has always been 60 days. When I went to the OB and got my PCOS dx, after an 80+ day cycle, she told me she didn't want me (personally, can't speak for your doctor/you) to go past 30 or 35 days. Not sure what my RE suggests, as I was on CD 40 something when they had me take the Provera to kick start AF so I could begin Letrozole. You are fairly new to being off BCP I think?? I know you've probably heard this a million times that it could be your body adjusting. Better safe though to get into the doctors! Glad you have an appointment scheduled!
@DoctorDonnaPuerto Vallarta is where we went on our family vacation in high school as well. It was a super great place to visit, I agree. We spent a lot of time at the resort, but also went out exploring too and it was such a friendly and welcoming place.

@melissam090 drink all the margaritas! @megzb510 sorry for cd1, watch out for the dreaded "delayed traveling O" @mylove071407 I'm waiting to move too, FF keeps changing my CH @dilynne My last cycle was 50 days (O day 44) that can be normal for me.I have seen some drs who are willing to look into it around 60 days, seems to depend on the dr. I wouldn't freak yet, but it won't hurt to check and see if you've even O'd.

WAYDTGKU: prenatals, RRL tea before O, ttc astroglide, cm, cp.
R/R/CS: **Chart stalk plz** So I'm still hanging out until O is confirmed. I'd like opinions on discarding my temp from cd16. I took it a few hours late. If I keep it my CH pop up on cd14, if I discard it switches to no CH. If I keep the temp it also gives me a weird note in interpretation about how I must be on a progesterone supplement (I'm not). Positive opk on c18 w/ewcm & another pos opk on cd19. I'm cramping a little yesterday & today, which isn't really normal for me if I was truly 6dpo, I usually cramp a few days before af and it's crippling. I'm thinking I'm gearing up to O and I should just disregard the temp?
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
We don't really celebrate Cinco de Mayo. I agree it's more of an American day for drinking. We honestly try not to leave the house on cinco de may, st. pattys, new years eve to avoid drunk drivers. DH wants to grab some corona but that's about as festive as we'll get. We'll be drinking Corona and starting Outlander! eta: cinco de mayo content

GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food? I have no big plans to celebrate the day. I have no Mexican heritage. I've been to Tijuana once, when I was a kid and we went on vacation to San Diego and crossed the border for the day. Mexican food is my favorite!

GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food
I don't think anyone celebrates that day around here (Canadian, not sure if that makes a difference). I have no Mexican heritage. I like some Mexican food. I will never, ever EVER go to Mexico. My whole family basically won't, since a family member was murdered there and there was no help from government/police, etc. It took a private investigator to find his chopped up body. So we don't go there. And I have no interest anyway.
(Generally I don't want to travel anywhere if I don't trust the government/police to help me if I were to run into trouble. But I am not a big traveler anyway so I am find playing it extra extra safe.)
WAYDTGKU: Not a whole lot right now. Might start temping on Monday.
R/R/CS: Not much going on here. Working late again tonight and it is raining. Yesterday, it was so beautiful, we went for a late night bike ride after I got home. H is driving me crazy right now, he doesn't seem to want to make any changes to his lifestyle to help with TTC and it is getting to me. I am trying to eat better and exercise more and he is not feeling any of it. He never listens to me, but if someone else tell him to do something he is all about it! It drives me insane.
GTKY: I have been to Mexico and love Mexican food, that's about it.
@MelissaM090 Hope everything goes well with her H SA! I don't have any experience with that yet, but I would just ask him and make it seem really casual so that he doesn't get too nervous. @Megzb510 Sorry about CD 1. Have fun in California! That sounds like a great distraction. @sldp123 Yikes! Hope you O soon, so that you can start feeling better. @mylove071407 Hate when FF takes the CH away!
Mexican food I love, and I'm trying to come up with something fun for dinner tonight
Eta: I have meetings at 8:00am, 10:00am and 12:30pm. The one at 12:30 is going to be long, boring and drawn out. I would probably need a margarita to go with my Mexican dinner.

I think most Americans have no clue why Cinco de Mayo is celebrated--I didn't know until I looked it up last year!!--and often mistake it for Mexican Independence Day, which is actually Sep 16--they just use it as an excuse to drink (which is a-ok with me) But, the history is well worth noting:

R/R/CS: I have a work baby shower to attend today, but at least I'm just a guest. I had to host the last two, since the pregnant women were on my team. Not that I mind necessarily, but I much prefer leaving when I want instead of staying to clean up.

I'm not the world traveler my husband is (his band travels around), but I've been to Mexico twice. Both times, I took cruises to Cozumel and Progreso. It's great for budget-friendly traveling.

GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
Edited because words.

For our IUI's he goes to the lab section of the RE office and the room there has magazines and all that fun stuff to help
I have not been with him any of the times.

DH and I have been to Mexico twice.. we went to Cabo a few years ago and went to Cancun last summer. Both were a lot of fun but I prefer the Caribbean over Mexico for a tropical vacation.

R/R/CS: DH might come home early and be home tomorrow night! I'm excited for him to come back for me aaaaand so he can schedule his SA! Just like some of you previously stated, I'm wondering if I should go with for support or anything else... I guess I'll have him ask when he calls
GTKY: I do not celebrate Cinco de Mayo....normally. However, a New Mexican restaurant in the town that I work in opened last week so coincidentally we're going to it today. But unfortunately I'll have to pass on the margaritas while there!

R/R/CS: Ugh, still here. I'm just hoping this cycle isn't anovulatory.
GTKY: I don't have any Mexican heritage. I've been to Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) over Thanksgiving weekend back in college, which they don't celebrate there. It was a pretty drive in some parts (I thought) and a great way to just observe the country. I grew up in Arizona around some amazing mom and pop restaurants and Mexican food was a staple growing up. I totally get the holiday starting with Mexico citizens/descendants celebrating here when they learned of the victory, but I don't celebrate.

WAYDTGKU: Anything I can. It still doesn't look like I've ovulated so everything except that.
R/R/CS: I called my doctor yesterday to ask a question about the meds H is on, and she asked how the TTC was going. I told her that I'm on CD55 and have yet to ovulate. She was surprisingly concerned and wanted me in to see her right away so I'm freaking out. I thought we weren't supposed to worry til 90 days? I also can't actually get to see her til the end of the month so going to continue to freak out til then. Question: Am I wrong on the 90 days? Like, it's not all that uncommon to be waiting this long, right?
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food? At the risk of sounds naive, I didn't realize this was an actual celebration day. We definitely don't.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! I celebrate this day by eating as much Mexican food as I possibly can. I don’t have any Mexican heritage but I have been to Mexico a number of times for vacation if that counts for anything!

R/R/CS: *Possible TW - Mother's day*
So Mother's day is coming up and I've been thinking about it all week.

@megzb510 sorry for cd1, watch out for the dreaded "delayed traveling O"
@mylove071407 I'm waiting to move too, FF keeps changing my CH
@dilynne My last cycle was 50 days (O day 44) that can be normal for me.I have seen some drs who are willing to look into it around 60 days, seems to depend on the dr. I wouldn't freak yet, but it won't hurt to check and see if you've even O'd.

R/R/CS: **Chart stalk plz**
So I'm still hanging out until O is confirmed.

R/R/CS: We're just HIO. O should be here in a few days, if it stays consistent with the past few months. My temps have been uncharacteristically consistent (all within the same degree) this week, and my chart doesn't look like a mountain range, so that's something different.

Hopefully your temp goes back up again tomorrow.
