2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Level 2 US with the specialist on May 11th!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I finished my first 5k last Saturday in Nashville. My husband and I wanted to do something to honor and remember our son by, so we chose a race in the St. Jude's rock and roll series to participate in. I finished the 5k and my husband ran his first half! It was a really positive experience.
4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? My work scrubs. Still the most comfortable clothes I own lol
I just want to tell you that I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my son at 39 weeks to placental insufficiency as well. We didn't have any specific cause, either. My placenta just couldn't handle the rapid growth that occurs in the 3rd trimester. My OB also said it is just one of those random events that can happen. Just wanted to let you know I understand your anxiety.
Heard back from the doctor. They sent me to the ER again. Since I'm almost 18 weeks they sent me up to Labor and Delivery. So I'm not sure how that's going to go. I really wish I could have a more boring pregnancy. Lol
Has anyone had sharp stabbing like pains in the abdomen? They're on my left side in the same area where I feek RLP when I sneeze or stand up to fast but these are coming when Im just sitting still and feel different. It almost takes my breath away for a second. It's really freaking me out

Thank you so much for your thoughts ladies. I'm home now.
Baby is great! Wouldn't sit still long enough for the ultrasound tech to even measure it's heartbeat! He or she was wiggling and turning and doing somersaults!
The lady told me up front that she couldn't tell me the sex, but she planted the thing right under baby's butt to measure the legs and I *think* I know what the sex is. Hubby is mad that I looked! Lol. But I didn't know she was going to do that. And obviously I'm no expert, so I'm keeping my thoughts to myself. 2 weeks and 4 days till I know for sure!
@krzyriver I'm so relieved to hear your baby is ok!!
@MRSCORKER I have had some sharp pains in my abdomen on the side. I asked my doc about it and she thought it was RLP or gas pains. It is very painful but just for a couple of seconds and then it's gone. I've also been having butt pain on only my right side, so who knows. Seems to be just another normal pregnancy symptom that is very abnormal and new to me. Ha.
@simcal18 that is very scary, but yay on getting another peak at your baby and getting the reassurance that everything is good!!
requesting positive thoughts and prayers Me and H just got in a motorcycle accident. Nothing is broken but we're a bit busted up and I'm obviously super concerned about the baby, though I know it's fairly padded at this point. We weren't going very fast and the clutch went out and basically we just went into a ditch. I'm trying to figure out where I can get in for an apt. tomorrow to make sure everything is okay.... No bleeding or cramping which I'm holding on to as a hopeful good sign.
Thinking of you @kmolleltz....like you said LO is still well cushioned and probably fine but I hope you get in to see someone and feel reassured (plus that you heal soon)!
@mrscorker I get those stabbing pains too! My doc says their round ligament pains so I'm not too concerned, but they do suck!
I ended up calling in this morning because it really freaked me out. It was in the same place as the RLP I get when I sneeze but I was just sitting still and felt different. She said it was probably still RLP and just because everything is growing and stretching. Someone else on this board thought they were having contractions and it turned out to be RL contractions, not uterine. I'm wondering if maybe the ligament was contracting as opposed to stretching which is why it felt different. Either way, I'm glad to know I'm not alone and glad my doctor assured me it's normal. It hasn't happened since last night but I am feeling pressure in my abdomen and that "full water balloon" feeling.

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Today's 16week appt. to hopefully hear the heartbeat (and no they're still alive and kicking). Also, anatomy scan on 5/27 and eventually feeling the little one move - I think. Still kind of weirds me out to think about something moving at will in there, but I need the reassurance that if they're moving they're fine!! Haven't felt anything other than sharp cramps and stabbing pangs, which I'm assuming are just RLP.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I have acne, I have bacne, and my legs are always itchy. It's all really sexy.
4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? ALL maternity pants! Why don't regular pants have a giant, high, stretchy waistband?? Think of the wonders it could do to muffin tops...especially after indulging in McDonald's for lunch! Like Spanx on pants - it would be amazing. P.S. found some AWESOME maternity jeans at Target by Liz Lange - I actually had to buy DOWN a size. Plus they're very lightweight, so I'm just going to roll up the cuffs and voila - instant crops for the summer. (seriously going to check out these JCP jeans you ladies keep talking about though, too!)
@kmolleltz Hope you and the little one are alright!! Let us know how it goes at the doctor!!
Anyone else feel a little triggered by the Mothers day thread? Maybe I'm just over emotional this week.
I thought it was just me being hyper sensitive lately since we're fast approaching an angel baby due date for me. I'm trying really hard to not be a wreck.
Happy thoughts! Next Mother's Day will be awesome!
I didn't really figure out that it was PGAL issues triggered but yea, I think I kinda felt off-put partly because I would have a 2 month old this Mother's Day if it wasn't for that mmc BS and all....
Mother's day is definitely a trigger for me. I lost my son at 39 weeks, and he would be 8 months old on the 11th. My best friend sent me a mother's day card that came in the mail today. It was so sweet and thoughtful, but also made me realize how much I've been avoiding any Mother's day talk.
