  • 1. How far along are you? 15 weeks!

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? May 26 is my Level 2 anatomy scan. Can't wait for that!

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: The one black floater in my right eye DRIVES ME CRAZY! Dr said my BP is good and this is all apart of pregnancy. So it is what it is. It'll all be worth it in the end! Oh and I gained the 5 lbs I lost in the 1st tri back, but I'm OK with it. I thought it would have been more with the way I've been eating.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? Just received 2 new pairs of maternity jeans from JCPenny and they are the BEST and most COMFY jeans ever! I highly recommend their maternity clothes!

  • 1. How far along are you? 17 weeks, 4 days

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? May 13 anatomy scan.

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I felt the baby move! It's the coolest thing. I'm also kind of obsessed with prenatal yoga, even the cheesy parts where we touch our bellies and chant "ohm" (and I normally hate that shit).

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? I also love my Gap skinny jeans, in part because I got them for $2.  For work, my favorite thing to wear right now are my Loft dresses that actually make me look pregnant and not just like I've had too many burgers.
  • @sportiegrl1213, what is a level 2 anatomy scan? How does it differ from a regular anatomy scan?

    1. How far along are you?
    15 +2

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? May 24th anatomy scan and feeling this baby move and knowing for sure that it's the baby!

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: My anxiety had been pretty low for a few weeks and then I read a post on the 2nd tri board that I shouldn't have read and I went to a bad place yesterday. I'm feeling a little better today but it really shook me.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? I have a pair of maternity jeans that I got at Kohl's. They look really nice and designer and fit like a dream. We've been able to wear jeans to work for the last week and I'm dreading having to wear my black maternity slacks because they just don't fit right. I need to find some dresses to get me through the summer but it's been so chilly here that I haven't been motivated.

. How far along are you? 17 weeks

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I just want to see little one again and know everything is fine! And I hope to find out the sex.

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm tired of being tired. And feeling huge. Because we haven't told everyone yet I feel like my wardrobe keeps shrinking and shrinking for non-bump-hi lightening things.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? A soft stretchy flowy cotton dress that has no tags at all that I got from the secondhand market. It's so perfect.

  • @MRSCORKER I think it's just the equipment used, since I'm over 35 and "high risk", the nurse told me its the Cadillac of ultrasounds... it's a higher quality and resolution. I need to get it done at the hospital by a specialist.

  • 1. How far along are you? 17.7

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Our anatomy scan at the end of the month. We already know that we're having a girl, but we haven't seen her since our 8 week ultrasound and she looked more like a frog then than anything else. Our appointment is scheduled for 9 am right when the open, and DH has to leave for work by 9:30 so I'm hoping we can get in and he can at least see her for a little bit.

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I still get little periods of nausea, mostly after I eat lunch or dinner, so that's a bummer. But major raves for more energy, and just generally a better mood. I was feeling very disconnected from the pregnancy, but once we found out the sex everything became so much more real. I can still feel that I'm trying to subdue my excitement, not get too worked up in case something happens, but it's becoming increasingly hard not to ogle just little clothes and dream about the nursery.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? I'm obsessed with fitted camis and open cardigans. I love how it accentuates the bump. Also, I just tried out a pair of maternity jeans in the past week and holy COW those things are comfortable. I think baby girl is tired of being squished so I may be making the leap soon.

Happy to hear that everyone is doing well!

  • 1. How far along are you? 16w4d

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I have a regular appointment tomorrow but really the anatomy ultrasound on May 27 - also, feeling the baby move, assuming it's still okay

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I am NOT confident in this baby being okay at all. I don't trust it. I only had one loss, a blighted ovum at 7 weeks, so there is no reason to believe that I would be prone to later losses, but I've read about so many I just don't trust it. This is my dark time between ultrasounds. I dunno what the doctor is going to do tomorrow, but I hope she can reassure me in some way that will hold me out a little bit longer. I hate making plans because I keep feeling like I could be planning for nothing.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? I have one pair of black slacks and one pair of jeans from JC Penney and they are awesome. They were the only ones I found that were both plus sized AND long enough for my 5'10", short-waisted frame. I really wish the slacks came in gray. I may have to get the khaki ones even though I try to stick to shades of black/gray and not shades of brown in my wardrobe, because I haven't found any other pants that will work!

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Anatomy scan on May 13th. Can't wait to find out what our little one is, which I think will make it more real!

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Sleeping better and my energy is up! Trying to stay positive, but this time between doctors appointments is still a little nerve wracking.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? Living in my maternity shorts from Target on the weekends! Who knew how comfy those things were!
  • 1. How far along are you?  16W3D

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to?  Seeing my lil' man on the 4th.  Have an ultrasound/cervical check that day.  I'll be even more excited when I start feeling him move.

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:  I just feel tired.  Really tired.  My husband is working 7 days a week, and I get stuck doing everything at home, plus working full time, and being a college student. I'm tired ladies.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now?  I love active wear.  It's comfortable and it's an excuse to just wear a sports bra, not a regular one.  Of course through the week, I must wear one and dress businesslike.
  • 1. How far along are you? 14w1d

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? We scheduled an elective ultrasound for 5/14 to hopefully find out the sex!!

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: The nausea is finally a lot better!! I'm still exhausted, but it's a huge relief to finally be able to get through a meal without gagging. Yay!!

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? Motherhood Maternity stretchy tshirts!! They are so freaking comfy, but I love how they show off my bump!! I actually look pregnant instead of just fat in those shirts!! :)

Started dealing with sciatic pain earlier this pregnancy so I'm definitely not enjoying that.
    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now?

I love love love my maternity gauchos, also like wearing maxi skirts because they are loose.

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Elective scan on May 21st hoping to find out the sex

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I have been having horrible back and hip pain, my chiropractor says that my SI joints will pop out a lot while pregnant, I was hoping for an easy second trimester.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? Shirts from Pink Blush OMG they are so soft and stretchy. Also pants from JC Penny for work. 1 pair of jeans that I love!!

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Anatomy scan in 2 weeks this Thursday
    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: PGAL brain still bearable so I'm hoping it'll hold out til my appt, which seems like it's a long time away! I'm excited because I never thought we'd get far enough to be worrying about how to decorate the nursery and what name to choose!
    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? My $2 Gap maternity jeans, too!
  • @simcal18 I feel you on the "haven't seen/heard the baby in awhile" anxiety. It seems like I do really well until the week before my appointment, and then I start freaking out. I go to my appointment, hear the heartbeat, think "well of course everything is great," that lasts me a few weeks and then it starts all over again until the next time. I will say, now that I'm feeling her move, it does a lot to calm my nerves in between. I hope it does the same for you once you start feeling your LO!

  • 1. How far along are you? 16 weeks!

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My AS in June

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I just saw my OB about these awful pelvic pains. Yay for round ligament pain and hearing about how because this is my third child this will be a "physically difficult" pregnancy.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? I love my maternity jeans.

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: See above but my Rant is that I have a low grade fever and feel like crap.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now?
Anything flow and comfortable, basically dresses.

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Anatomy scan in on the 10th =)

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: The last week and first week of the month is always really hectic at work for me. It's month end and I have to report and invoice like 50 projects. I finally have some free time to bump. We took DS and DS to an elective ultrasound this past weekend since they haven't had a chance to see the baby. LO would not move his hand from his faces, so we didn't really catch too much of a glimpse.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? I have a pair of maternity yoga pants that I rush home everyday to put on.
  • 1. How far along are you? 17+2

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Anatomy scan in less than 3 weeks and feeling baby move again

    3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I could rant for days about how things have suddenly gotten very rocky between my husband and I, but I just don't have the energy. I'm considering going to stay with my mother for a few days.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? Maternity yoga pants. To be fair, yoga pants are my favorite non-maternity item too. Lol

@RainMira93 I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. FX you get some reassurance at your appointment.

@simcal18 I'm starting to get real bad anxiety too. I haven't seen the baby in 4 weeks and I haven't heard the heartbeat in about 3. My symptoms are the only thing keeping me semi-calm.

@anna.oskar I hear you on wanting to avoid the drama. That's why I initially didn't want a shower either. Hubby has more or less talked me into it, although I still have my days where I think I've dealt with enough drama and think about skipping it.

    2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My appt with the specialist this week and getting to see our little guy again finally.

     3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: We lost our son at 20 week last november and the closer we get the more anxious I am. Everything is so different and smooth with this pregnancy, but I know you ladies understand, can't help but freak out. I watched the weekly update video this morning on the "What to expect" App and it says he can hear me this week and I lost it. I am so excited and so scared.

    4. GTKY: What's your favorite clothing item right now? Jessica Simpson maternity jeans from motherhood.

Thinking of everyone with appts this week and hoping you all report back with happy and uneventful news!

Not to say you shouldn't share your experience, I'm glad we have this thread to do so, but when I hear about late losses, I go from feeling "safe" to freaking out about every twinge. I'm extra crampy today too which isn't helping. I don't know how I'm going to get through the next 3 weeks until my next appointment.

  • Thanks @krzyriver and @MRSCORKER. One day at a time, that's just about all we can do and I just keep reminding myself that, as my doctor keeps telling me, "every pregnancy is different". I'm sorry we're all on edge about this. I'm so sorry if my post triggered you, it certainly don't ever want to trigger that unease or fear in someone.

No, no. Don't apologize at all! You put up a TW and I chose to keep reading. That's on me. I'm so glad we have this thread to share our fears and past experiences. I was already having a tough day because of this cramping. It doesn't feel like AF cramps so I'm sure it's stretching and growing pains but it's scary none the less. I'm gonna pound some water and take a nap. Hopefully I'll wake up feeling better :)

  • @LGW2015 Thanks. We've been through a lot and we're good about working on it.... I just feel like I'm not being heard anymore. I just need to take some time for myself. I don't do threats, but me needing space usually shakes him up and I'll be glad for that.

@Julia70286 I'm sure you didn't trigger anyone. I think we all have that underlying fear, no matter how much we try and fight it. *Hugs*

@MRSCORKER I hope you feel better after your nap!

  • @Julia70286 I'm sorry if this is too personal and I'm not asking you to go over the details but, just wondering whether or not you found out a particular cause for your loss and if you had any warning that that pregnancy was in trouble? I'm so sorry you went through that and I'm glad you said this time is smoother and different so I hope that is helping and that you feel some more relief after 20 weeks.

Yes! I also realized that sex makes them worse for me and not drinking enough water. Both are at play today so it's like the perfect storm.
