I will be 19weeks tomorrow. stm. I don't remember the first movements with my dd 10years ago. However, what I've been feeling so far is a light "thumping" about 3inches below my belly button or slightly to the left or right of that. It usually always been in that location. I know uterus is only about at my belly button but I thought the movement seemed low. I haven't been feeling the swishing fish many of you describe, but was wondering if anyone else also felt this "thump thump" instead.
I get somewhat thumpy feelings. Sometimes it's clearly my pulse (or baby really has rhythm...) but sometimes it's uneven and I don't know what to think because it's not fluttery like others have said.
Still waiting for a clear kick that I *know* is baby.
I am 19 weeks and had my anatomy scan yesterday. I thought I was feeling movements and the AS confirmed that she is a wiggle worm! Ever since seeing the US with her moving around like crazy and never stopping, I feel like I can't stop feeling her!!! I guess it was a mental thing where I didn't want to get my hopes up about feeling her and it wasn't really her...but it's her alright!!!!
I'm 18+2 and nada yet. I get little cramps which I've been told (by friends) that is contractions and totally normal since they're not painful just annoying. I have my anatomy scan on Monday so I'll be able to see the little peanut moving around again which will help my nerves, but I keep trying to remind myself that I'm a plus size FTM so it could take longer than others and that's okay. Just being impatient.
Nothing for me yet, at 19+1. I did feel like there was a goldfish swimming about in there once or twice, but nothing definite. I'm not too worried though.
16 weeks, haven't felt any movement really, no flutters or anything, but when I put my hand to my bump the other day I did feel a "pulsing" that was slower than a heartbeat but too rhythmic to be kicks. A friend of mine thinks it might have been hiccups.
Hi im a FTM. Been feeling flutters and little kicks for awhile now since about 14 weeks but today at 18w4days i felt a few nice big kicks my colleague was even able to feel it i was so excited!!! Little one is very active!
I'm a plus size FTM at 18+4 and I haven't felt anything yet. We had a midwife appointment yesterday and could clearly hear lil bean move on the doppler so that was definitely some relief. Our AS is next Wednesday so I'm really looking forward to see if I feel any movement as I see bean move. The midwife did say it's nothing to be concerned about if I don't feel anything right now.
Okay...I think so? It's just a little feeling here and there, but it feels like being tickled really gently from the inside, or like if you imagine a little trail of bubbles or ripples in water. It's so weird! But it was not terrifying like a sci-fi movie scene, which is what I assumed it would be like first time I noticed it.
I just got a HUGE kick last night while eating mashed potatoes. I'm sure the baby had no idea what I was eating, but it was funny! It felt like a little jab from the inside. It's a very weird feeling.
@von1976 it is SUPER weird haha I'm still not used to it. When I get a big kick I always blurt out "WHOA" haha little one is SO active it's kind've ridiculous. DH felt a bunch of kicks the other night. Then he felt a roll and even he was like "ooh that felt weird!" Clearly little one has daddy's ADD already, we're gonna be in for a ride haha
Almost 19 weeks and I *think* I finally figured out what baby movements feel like last night! I felt some sudden flutters between my belly and pelvis, and it occurred to me that was probably baby! I know I've felt it before, I've just chalked it up to preggo tummy issues. I hope I'm not wrong lol, but it was really cool to feel that! I have to be mindful to notice it though.
I am 16 weeks today. I felt flutters yesterday for the first time! It was almost like rapid tapping. Someone said it feels like popcorn popping, that was it!

I'm pregnant with baby number 4, I'm 18 weeks and still haven't felt a thing. Felt movement from the others around 14weeks mark. Pregnancies all vary I suppose xx
@kmolleltz My baby does somersaults during all my ultrasounds. Lol. It moves so much they have a hard time taking measurements. But I still don't feel anything either. Must be the belly fat and the anterior placenta. I'm 18+5 today.
I I thought I felt something the other day and I jumped. Hubby got all excited cause we were at his soccer game. He was going around telling people he's got a little soccer player. But I think it was just a contraction and now I feel bad. I shouldn't have said anything.
I finally felt the first tiny flutter Saturday at 16w2d! This is my third pregnancy. Baby was very active last night. I'm excited to be feeling movement!
This is kinda weird and I don't even know how to explain it but does anyone else feel like the baby is brushing up against something raw when you feel movements? It's not necessarily painful, and I wouldn't trade feeling my nugget moving for anything. My insides just feel raw and I really notice when I feel the baby move.
Felt a definite HARD kick the other day when his Daddy was talking to him. It felt like he pushed off the left wall to quickly get to the right wall where his daddy was talking to him. Felt it and heard it on the monitor. Heartbeat quickly moved from the left side to the right side close to his daddy at the same time. So sweet. Can't seem to male him do it again
My girl likes her sugar...I can usually feel her move right after I give in to a craving..I don't feel her high up yet, though. Usually it's really low.
19 weeks today, I've really only felt her move a few times, once she scrambled when I was startled awake by a barking Dog and a couple other knocks. Doesn't help that my stomach has been a mess this week so I have no idea what I'm feeling, she needs hurry up and grow so I can really feel her!!!
I still have no idea if what I'm feeling is movement or... muscle spasms? Ever get like muscle spasms in your leg or arm or somethings? It kind feels like that... but in my uterus. I like to think it's him, but I want something definitive! Like, c'mon baby, gimme a good karate chop!
I am 18 + 6 and I can't identify any movements yet and it is freaking me out! I just had a prenatal appt and everything was fine! my midwife said it should be in the next few weeks.. I can't wait to feel something!
I FINALLY felt something other than stretching this past Sunday, I was right at 19 weeks. It was on the way home from our gender reveal = cake = SUGAR! She was an active little gummy bear. It wasn't the goldfish or frog, or flutters/butterflies, but a bunch of little thuds, a couple kind of jolting. Haven't noticed near as much this whole week since, but I might have a couple brownies for dessert tonight then relax and see what happens
@Julia70286 I literally just felt something exactly like you described, almost as I was reading your comment... Little spasms across my tummy... I haven't felt anything yet like that. Do you think it could be baby??
I -think- I felt my little guy for the first time today. It wasn't a flutter or a twitch, but more like a singular tap against the centre of my uterus. It didn't hurt, but definitely felt it and it only happened once. I'm 19w+5d. I saw my OB on Tuesday and she said it's still early to feel movements (but I'm also extra squishy). I never felt something like that before, so I'm blaming baby
I am 17 weeks today and I have been feeling movements since around 15 weeks. Tonight, as I speak, my little one is performing gymnastics. I mean movements so noticeable that it makes me jump! Of course when I put my hubby's hand on my tummy to try to feel it, our little baby stops! What a stubborn LO :-) I wouldn't trade this for the world. I'm so in love already
@Julia70286 yep that's what it felt like to me in the beginning, like muscle spasms. It was definitely baby because it got stronger and stronger and now it's full on acrobatics in there.
This is my first pregnancy, but I want to say I was feeling movements as early as 12 weeks, at first only late at night when I was on the verge of sleep. Now I feel movements all the time, mostly while eating and at night when relaxing in bed.
I feel like I have a 6 months old baby inside me. They both kick all. day. long. Sometimes at the same time so I'm getting cervix kicks with rib kicks. DH can finally feel them and we can see them kicking from the outside. Next to decorating the nursery, kicks are my fave.
Y'all--- this baby moves SO. MUCH. I just started feeling movement this week (18w), but my goodness! I'm starting to worry we might have a wild child on our hands!

Omg... I feel the same way! The US tech had trouble recording the HB last time bc the baby was swooshing around so much! I just felt the baby last week and DH can already feel her kicking too. So crazy!
