@takethelongway that is wonderful!! I know I will be taking BCP and then Lupron and of course POI but that is really all I know. I am at a new clinic this time because I moved. The not knowing is driving me crazy.

@Knottie1459820980That's the same protocol I have! Lupin starts 4/24 and I stop BCP on 4/26. Estrogen and baby aspirin will start 5/4 and PIO on 5/18. I hope it all goes as smoothly as my first FET.

@takethelongway - I won't be doing the baby aspirin, but we may end up being pretty close together on transfer! I left a message for my IVF coordinator yesterday as AF FINALLY showed her ugly face. I am so excited to get started...what made your clinic change you from 2 wks of bcp to 3 wks?

@Knottie1459820980 I think it had to do with the doctor's schedule. I was very specific that I wanted my doctor to do the transfer and I'm not sure she was on call for the two week mark. I'm really wishing I was only on them for one more week as they are causing me major mood problems this time around. It is frustrating. I also have a saline sonogram scheduled for tomorrow so I think they wanted me to have a "normal" cycle for that.

@takethelongway that stinks that you have to have the extra week. I completely understand wanting your dr thought. With my last FET my Dr had a death in the family and I ended up having another Dr who I had never seen do my transfer and I was so upset. Until they gave me a valuim (sp) LOL. My clinic called back and I start my BCP today and go in tomorrow!! I am so excited. I think I may end up transferring the same week as you because they asked if I was traveling in the next 6 wks! I will know more tomorrow afternoon

I found out today that I have to have a hysterscopy and d&c before transfer. My nurse is hopeful I'll be able to get in on Monday and not have to delay our FET.

I had my appt. today and we did my mock transfer (which I wasn't expecting today). I start my Lupron on Friday then stop my BCP on the 19th. Go back in for monitoring on the 29th to make sure I am ready to start Estrace. Check my lining on May 10th for a possible transfer on May 17th!  I am super excited it is going faster than I thought it was going to

I just received my big ol' box of meds for the FET! Lupron starts Saturday!

@takethelongway  I hope they got you in for Monday and didn't make you wait all day for a phone call...I hate waiting for those calls. 

@dragonfaerie I love getting the boxes of meds. I was a little shocked at how "small" this box was compared to the box from my original IVF cycle. Now that was a huge box of meds. Looks like you are going to be just 6 days ahead of me

@Knottie1459820980 It is kind of fun to get the meds and sort them! I had a bit of a panic because I thought they sent me the wrong Lupron. The amount in the vial just did not look like it would be enough to get me through the month, but the nurse called this morning and said it's okay and it will last as long as I don't overfill. I hope your cycle goes well!

@dragonfaerie I love getting meds! I actually should probably order my Lupron! I have everything else from my last FET. I actually got a whole mess of Minivelle patches the day I found out I was going to be miscarrying. But, now it's one less thing to buy.

So my FET is once again delayed since I'm not healing, and unfortunately now the timing would be during my travel, so we made the decision to push back to the last week of may.  Not super happy, but would rather not be stressed about making sure we catch the 2-3 days I'm home at a time during the month.  Question for ladies who have their protocol: does anyone have no shots? Not that I'm complaining, but my protocol will be estrace and then crinone (progesterone suppository cream) 2 times a day starting 5 days before ET.

I'm sorry you are being bumped again @Rachnan. I have many many shots, that's interesting that you don't.

@Rachnan so sorry to hear that your cycle has been postponed. My first FET cycle did not have many shots just 12 PIO injections and then I was switched to the suppository ones. My estrogen was patches & pills. Good Luck to you

@Rachnan I have a bunch of shots. Lupron and PIO. However, I know there are tons of different protocols so be lucky you don't have shots

@Rachnan I didn't get any shots either. I'm scheduled to start my FET process as soon as AF shows up and I asked the nurse if what I have at this point everything that I'll need...she said yes. I have the follwing:

Antibiotic (2 tablets for transfer cycle)
Estrace 
Prometrium 
Endometrin 
Medrol tablets

I asked why I didn't get PIO shots and my RE said the suppositories are the same. Not sure if I should be concerned now that everyone else gets shots and I don't either.

@Tulips29 sounds like we're on a similar protocol! I used crinone for my injection IUIs and I have heard a lot of people say it's interchangeable with PIO.  I'm totally find with the messiness instead of PIO!  When is your transfer scheduled?

@Rachnan I'm not sure yet. We're waiting for PGD testing results and I'm waiting for AF to start. I think at this point, we're probably looking at mid-end May if our embryos come back normal from testing. I'm in the same boat as you with the traveling, so I'm hoping I can kind of play it by ear until I have my FET scheduled.

There certainly are a lot of protocols! For my IUIs I just used Letrozole tablets to stim, and then they gave me my Pregnyl trigger shot, then Endometrin suppositories. For my FET I have Lupron shots, then Estrace tablets, Estradiol patches, and PIO. I don't have an antibiotic, but I do have a steroid to suppress my immune system, and a Valium for the day of transfer. PIO and Endometrin are basically interchangeable. We'll see if I'd rather deal with leakage or a sore bum!

Hey Ladies. I've been MIA for the last few day as we got some upsetting news and I wanted to let it play out before I reacted. I found out that they retrieved 6 mature eggs from our second donor 4 fertilized and only 2 made it to day 5 for PGS testing. I know it only takes just one but I am not convinced that we will be so lucky.  Needless to say I am so disappointed that the donor has so few eggs. I really just feel like I should be stimming because I can get those kind of results. Anyway, I should hear back next week if either are normal. I'll come back later and catch up where everyone else is.

I am hoping I am not being too premature in joining, but have a tentative FET date of May 16th. 

@takethelongway we were in the Dec/Jan IVF group- I wanted to say how very sorry I am for your loss, but admire that you are ready to move forward -hugs and best wishes for this transfer!

@susykat77 I was so glad to see that you were feeling better  from your pancreatitis, but am sorry to hear about your newest donor's low numbers...fingers crossed that both test normal!

@dragonfaerie you offered me some advice for acne problems last month- while not perfect, my skin is doing much better so thanks!

I have 12 frozen eggs from an amazing and wonderful donor who happened to be a friend -of -a -friend who had gone through IVF due to MFI and had extra eggs frozen. After a LOT of being told we couldn't use them by her clinic, the eggs were finally transferred to our clinic on good Friday (I texted my hubby to let him know that the Easter bunny had brought us some eggs  )

The eggs are due to be thawed Monday and fertilized by DH and then PGS tested on day 5, I am hopeful but realize that so many things can go wrong so am being very cautious in my optimism. Had my endometrial scratch today (that pain was a little shocking!!!) and start lupron tonight.

Hoping to have some embies to join you ladies in transferring this month!!! I have done IVF twice, but so far have never made it to a transfer.

@2legbaby Welcome! I'm so glad your skin is doing better! And I'm VERY glad that you got the drama between the two clinics sorted out so you could use your friend's eggs. Happy to see you moving along! FX for your little embabies!

Did my first Lupron shot, stings a bit but then is okay. So excited!!

Good to know that the stinging is normal for the lupron -I was surprised because it is such a small amount and a tiny needle! At least it doesn't last long

@2legbaby I know, I was surprised too! I'm so glad these needles are tiny. It reminds me a bit of the Ganirelix, super easy to go in, a little stinging after, then good.

@dragonfaerie I was wondering if I would have enough Lupron too, but I am just trusting what the Dr. ordered and not going to let myself worry about it. If I get low I can always call the pharmacy and get more. I will be keeping a close eye on it once I tap into that second vile! My Lupron injections don't sting really but they do itch something fierce for a little bit. 

@susykat77 I am so sorry to hear about the low numbers from your donor. Like you said it only takes 1 and FX that you get at least 1 good one  

@2legbaby Welcome! Your tentative date is 1 day before mine!! So exciting. I am glad you got the eggs transferred and such a cute text to send to hubs . We had to transfer my embryos to a new clinic because I moved and it was pretty smooth but very nerve wrecking anyway. 

@WishingforLuck so sorry about your BFN. I am so glad you are ready to move forward and will hopefully be joining this group!

AFM- I am glad to be 3 days into the injections and so glad that I only have today and tomorrow left on BCP, it made me sick again yesterday so the sooner I am done with it the better!!

@Knottie1459820980 It's so funny how some of these meds give such typical responses. It's good to know others experience similar side effects. And I am definitely ready to be done with BCPs. They make me nauseated and tired as well.

Hi girls, sorry, been MIA for a bit so I have some catching up to do on the messages.  My mock cycle for my FET officially ended on Friday; I'm glad to get a break from the PIO shots.  The actual shots don't hurt, but my bum was soooo sore for 2-3 days after each shot.  I'm not too sure what's supposed to happen next so I left a message for my nurse today asking her to clarify.  Hopefully I'll hear back soon.  I'm just so ready for my actual FET!

Hi Ladies. Just popping in on this board now. I got my 5dpt reports and I have 11 embryos frozen and now ready for FET. AF started yesterday so I got my protocol today looks like a IUI protocol. BCP until the 28th. Then should have AF 1-3 days later. Start Estrace 2x a day on 5/1 until 5/9 bw and us on the 9th. This is all for sure after that it can change but it says Estrace 3x a day from 5/10 until further notice. On 5/12 I do 1ml of HCG in the PM. On 5/13 I start 1ml PIO for 10 days at night.  

I forgot got to put that we are scheduled for the 18th.

Welcome @thucks! It is so crazy there are so many different protocols for the FET! Congrats on your 11 frozen embryos!

@knottie1459820980 I can imagine that having your embryos transported is stressful! Thankfully the clinics that eggs were transported to and from are 5 mins away and one of our clinic's embryologists went over and hand delivered them:) 

@jenn6782 I knew they did mock transfers but didn't know that they did mock protocols for the FET -complete with injections-ouch! I hate the PIO injections-there are only so many spots you can use in that one area lol
Do they do the mock trial just to see how your body responds?

Our eggs were fertilized yesterday- all 12 thawed and were fertilized and today we have 11 embryos at the 2PN stage (which is apparently good!). Still keeping our excitement at bay given our previous experiences, but am hopeful that they keep growing!!!!
