So my first EDD was 12/4 based on my own calculations but went today and they kept it at 11/30 based on LMP even though I usually have longer cycles. That's how I got my December estimate

EDD 12/27 based on my own math, we will know for sure in a couple weeks at our first appointment. Kind of team green - we might find out, but keep it to ourselves :-)

As of now, EDD is 12/28. We did genetic testing through IVF so definitely finding out. The dr already knows what they implanted but we didn't want to know until we knew it took so hopefully in the next 2 weeks we will know for sure.

My EDD is 12/11. We haven't decided whether or not to find out the sex. I want to, but my dad doesn't. Husband is on the fence. He says it won't affect our purchases since we want a fairly gender neutral nursery anyway and we have names we like for a girl and boy, so who knows? Tentative team green?

@amayc that's exactly how my husband and I are! I really don't want to find out but he is insisting we do. The compromise is we find out, tell only a select few people, and announce to all when the baby is born.

@phoenix870509 that's awesome! I thought I was the only one having this conversation with their husband. I think our compromise is that he will know and just won't tell anyone that he knows. He also promised not to tell me or torture me with it.. not sure how thats gonna to go.

That was my suggestion too! But DH hated it, knowing and not being able to say anything to anyone about it. It just wasn't fair to him, and if he wanted to feel a part of this whole thing he should be able to get excited and talk about it. So we reached our compromise. If we have another I don't want to find out the gender. I don't like people assigning gender roles before the child is born, which he thinks I'm ridiculous for thinking that.
