This board confuses me...as a newby I felt not very welcome, and am afraid of posting in the wrong place at the wrong time. Threads are way to long and I don't have time to look through 80 replies in one topic to find an answer to my question. The bump app isn't as friendly to use, so to search a topic isn't as easy, I feel some of you already are close and aren't really looking for new people to join. Which sucks, coz I'm a complete newby, and have no f'ing clue about being pregnant!
to me this always reads like, "I don't have time to read through info people have already provided, so I'm going to treat the board like my personal Google and ask people to post the same info over and over".
How to say it differently... Its not about making this board my personal Google, it's about having smaller topics. Some threads take care of 5/6 different topics, its not always clear if what one is looking for is in that thread. Or it starts with that question, but somewhere the road the conversation changed topics.

And some of us are on the app on our lunch break/ the train with a tiny cracked screen and literally no way to search effectively. It is just not feasible to search the whole board every time. I understand not wanting the same post a million times, but it will happen occasionally and it's not personal and the world won't end, I promise.
@tvh1982 - I agree that things like a general symptoms thread get unwieldy, but last time I checked, there were over 150 people on the spreadsheet, so threads are going to get long.
@whaat - yeah. Thanks. Didn't think the world would end.

Can we have a poll about the symptoms thread? I think because of the wide variety of symptoms, especially symptoms that will be different in each trimester, individual threads about particular symptoms would be more helpful than the catch-all we have now. It is easier to find a thread on "morning sickness" or "round ligament pain" than to scroll through 8 pages of responses to "symptoms" looking for one in particular. If most people want to keep it as is, fine - but if most people want to change it, then we should.
