@Sporty1216 just FYI i like the oil to reduce the itching most of all So I'm with all you guys using the oils!
2 things...
1.For the most part I'm gluten-free but yesterday "the baby" really really wanted some yummy gluteny pizza, pasta, and garlic knots. But I get too anxious if I eat things with gluten because there is possibility of a causing a miscarriage if I really am gluten intolerant (never tested but runs in my family.) So instead I bought two bags of potato chips, a bag of gluten-free Oreos, and a bag of gluten-free wafers. Luckily I didn't like one of the flavors of chips, and it's not that much fun to binge on gluten-free sweets... I still want the pizza
2. I realized I still have 50 OPK's 20 cheepie HPT's and numerous others of the expensive digitals. I stocked up right before I got my BFP. Yargh!
And.... I don't know why anybody wears pants with buttons and zippers? Never again!!!
@createillumination--go get yourself a good gluten-free pizza! You deserve it! And, good to know about the oil. I'll have to go get some. Also, I bought the extra big box of opks right before getting my BFP too. It crossed my mind that I would get pregnant after I did that when I made the purchase. And I did! Money well spent. but yeah. Not sure what I'll do with them now....
@createillumination I also have a HUGE supply of unused HPTs and OPKs. I stocked up the month of my BFP, bought the super-sized value pack off Amazon assuming I was going to be in it for the long-haul... I did use most of the HPTs though, because I was obsessed with checking over and over and over again until I finally heard that heartbeat.
Also I'm a bread fiend and hate 99% of gluten-free foods, but gluten-free pizza isn't half bad! I agree with Sporty - you should go get some!

Ha! That's so funny you guys did the same thing! I remember debating buying them if I were to get a BFP. I guess it makes for good luck.
oh I'm making gluten free frozen pizza for dinner! There's a really good one called "against the grain" if anyone is in need of an exceptionally good gluten free pizza.
Had an appointment yesterday where I had 3 high BP readings taken by two different people. Got sent to the hospital where they monitored me and baby for two hours and all blood pressure readings were completely normal. Now I'm having lots of pelvic pain and cramping. If anyone has a crystal ball, I'd love to know what the heck is going on with my body...
@mthoomom I'm glad you're due this month! I hope whatever's going on passes, but if it doesn't, at least your baby is at a safe age. My sister had her twins at 35 weeks due to pre-eclampsia. Fingers crossed that this is nothing, though.

@mthoomom--i'm sorry you had that happen! It seems like a good sign that the monitoring they did in the hospital was all normal, but the pelvic pain and cramping is concerning, I'm sure. How far along are you? I remember that you are getting close....
I hope the pain and cramping goes away. You're all hydrated, right? Take it easy and i'll be hoping an praying everything returns to normal for you ASAP.
Thanks everyone. I'm 36 weeks, so far enough along that if I were to go into labor on my own, they wouldn't stop it. I'm guessing the pelvic discomfort is probably just the normal process of my body getting ready for labor, but the BP issue was a bit concerning. All labs were good, so no pre-eclampsia happening at this point... The random high BP was pretty weird though.
I get high BP readings in the office on a regular basis just because I get anxious. I track my BP at home and it is normal. At the end of my pregnancy with my son, though, it went up and stayed up. Because I was 39 weeks and change at that point, they went ahead and sent me to be induced.
I would imagine they'll keep a close eye on things with you from here on out anyway--you're at the weekly appointment stage, right? and I think it's a really great sign that things were normal when they monitored you and baby in the hospital. Hopefully it was just a freak thing and your body can continue to prep for baby's arrival on its own time.
@mthoomom sending you positive thoughts that everything continues ok! Glad you were able to leave the dr office with some normal readings in the end
@mamafesto so sorry to hear about your grandma. Grandmas are so special - both of mine are gone and I think of all the things I'll teach my LO that they taught me. You can definitely pass on all the good she put in you
I thought everyone could use a little cheering (and looking at the whole pregnancy/food thing) here is a picture of me after I enjoyed a Paczki (a Polish jelly donut) to honor my late sister on her birthday. That white is powdered sugar, I swear!
@lillebowski23 I should have posted a picture of the two cinnamon rolls with extra frosting I made DH go out and get for me yesterday. We could have a whole junk food thread!
Okay--so first testing round of the snoogle was with my LO. I let him curl up in it to have his bedtime bottle. He finished it up, sat up and snuggled the long part, and is snoring now. Snoogle win! I hope it works the same magic with me.
Hello all, I am 12 weeks and 2 days pregnant, going for my nuchal scan and a series of blood tests today...quite anxious , just want everything to be normal...pray it will be....

Thanks much, went really well, nuchal scan didn't throw up any abnormalities, phew, quite a load off actually saw the baby bouncing around during the ultrasound and almost showing off his/her 10 fingers and ten toes, it was really awesome
Great news about your scan @krupali78! Congratulations!!! I absolutely loved that moment too, finally being able to see my little one happy inside of me.

Congrats, @krupali78 ! That is excellent news! I'm glad it went so well and I hope you can now relax and enjoy your weekend!
@emsmama15-- the snoogle seems like it will be awesome, but maybe more so when I am bigger. Right now I still toss and turn a lot, so it made me feel confined. But I can see how it will really help once I have a bigger belly. I'm gonna keep experimenting with it for sure.
I've been considering getting a snoogle, but our full-sized bed isn't quite spacious enough for it. I'm still sleeping okay, but my belly has reached exponential growth phase so I'm wondering how much longer this will last. I've heard of using a wedge (to put under the bump), and just a regular pillow (to put between your legs). I am somewhat dubious about how any pillow will work for me because I'm a toss-and-turn sleeper. I pretty much know that I'll never be able to lie down on my left side and stay that way all night long like you're supposed to. I try to go to sleep on my side, but I still wake up on my back 90% of the time and that doesn't seem to be changing as I get further along.

I use a regular king size pillow @redheadbride15, I toss and turn and switch the pillow with me. I stiff the top of the pillow under my belly and the bottom is in between my legs, if that makes sense:)
That's similar to what I do @Wyattnash00. I have a pregnancy pillow from my first pregnancy that's okay, but I'm worried as I grow HUGE, it might not cut it. But right now, I just need something to keep myself from rolling onto my stomach, which is how I like to sleep. At this point, I can still lay on my stomach, but it's REALLY uncomfortable, so I end up waking up in pain. I turn a TON and I bring the pillow with me too. Unfortunately, that means I'm awake every time I turn over. UGH! I just want a full night's sleep. I'm SO TIRED!!!!! (I also thought the snoogle may be the answer to my dreams but maybe not).

First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl!
Snoogle update: night #2 was better! I played around with it, didn't feel like I had to follow the instructions, and woke up with no back pain, which is something I haven't done in years (even with a tempurpedic mattress)! So....maybe there's some magic in it after all.
Went on a dinner date with dh tonight. I decided to wear this outfit even though it makes me look pregnant, because oh that's right, I am! Nevermind that it's mostly bloat
Maternity clothes here too @Sporty1216! These second pregnancies are no joke! Wear what you want. Your bump/blump looks adorable either way @BernieRae!!

My DH and I deactivated our facebook accounts today in order to take a little break and make sure my mom couldn't spill the beans on facebook now that we told her. But I told him I wouldn't give up the bump
My mom screamed and jumped and swore, it was hilarious and viral youtube worthy. If I can ever get my act together I have a really funny video of it but I'd have to edit it down to a reasonable size to get it on here.
@createilluminationyour mom sounds hilarious! My mom cried when I told her, and mentioned something to the effect of "my daughter, the old lady, is having a baby!"... I think she gave up on having more grandkids years ago so I totally took caught her off guard. I had not told her we were trying. (By the way, thanks for calling me an old lady, mom. I'm only 38!)
