  • @laurenmdrn16 I'm with you on that. Let it breathe as much as possible. I wear a liner during the day but not at night...needs to get some air flowing in the area :D

  • I just spent my entire lunch break looking at pictures of my son from when he was a newborn and sobbing. I need to pull myself together!

Here's my favorite: my little Renzo at 10 days old when we first got home from the hospital. He was just under 6lbs, but 19in and super skinny.

And yes, I quoted myself. Whatcha gonna do about it?!

  • I am having rage blackouts. I am so tired and busy at work I saw there was a Carters sale. I was like, lets do this - but then EVERYTHING is a doorbuster. I can't use the 20% off everything coupon if everything is a doorbuster and THERE IS AN EXCLUSION AGAINST DOORBUSTERS.

I am glad I have a safe place for this rage.

Embarrassing symptom confession time - my hoo-ha smells. Of course, it could just be my heightened sense of smell, but still, I feel disgusting. I've been using feminine wipes but forgot to bring some to work with me today. Blech.
Mine smells too. Its the pregnancy funk
  • I switched from liners to an actual pad (albeit still thin) and it made a big difference for me.  If that helps.

Am I crazy for wanting to start a new exercise routine at 32weeks? I used to do this random internet video I found called '10 minute arms.' It's pretty good and basically a short Barre3 workout if you know what that is. Lately it's warmed up and I'm starting to pull out sleeveless dresses and my arms are not something I really want to show off right now as I haven't seen a weight room in months. I think I'm going to do it. That is my random thread post of the day.

OMG you just reminded me of my favorite exercise video in college, 8 minute abs!! I actually had it on VHS.
  • Can I go home yet? Also, people suck. Someone got cupcakes at work for St. Patrick's Day and I went to get one. There were 2 left. Instead of offering one to me since I was standing right next to them, the person that was in there took both of them and went back to their desk. This same person does this all the time. And now I'm disappointed and cupcake-less.
  • @dsmith211 super weak! What a jerk :disappointed:

  • I love listening to these girls at work talk sports...
The same girls did a fantasy football draft and now the brackets for March Madness.
But they have NO clue what they are talking about.
Just makes me LOL a bit

That is LITERALLY THE RUDEST THING I HAVE HEARD THIS MONTH. I'm so angry on your behalf.
  • Omg I just got an email from my boss about a "surprise baby shower" for me... She accidentally copied me on the invitation and I feel sooo bad for her and don't know what to do. I guess play dumb?

    I say play dumb.
  • I couldn't decide if I wanted the grasshopper blizzard or the oreo blizzard, so I got both. I haven't had a blizzard in YEARS. I feel like they used to put so many more oreos in the blizzard though.
  • Yes to everyone complaining about their lady bits! Maybe I'm growing a tropical forest down there. I mean, I haven't seen it in awhile so anything could be happening!

This happened to me at work too. I kinda knew they were planning something and since I never work on Fridays when meetings are held they were able to discuss it freely. But it was put in the minutes for the meeting, which I read. Kinda funny. So yes, play dumb, I'm doing the same thing!!
  • @ayeshaohara at least we will make sure we look cute at our surprise work showers!

Don't even, it's so funny you said that. Because I had said to another coworker, when you find out what the date is can you tell me so I make sure I've done my hair and makeup that day! She told me the day after I had read the minutes anyhow. Everyone is going to be super suspicious that I happened to bother to make an effort on the day of my "surprise" shower...

Random Question: but also a TW Thursday..... I got an FFN done last month when I was in triage to rule out preterm labor.  Has anyone else had this test done - and was it covered by insurance?  I just got a bill for $655.
Apparently it is considered "experimental treatment and not covered at all".  Ummm no.

eta: If the FFN test is negative, there is an excellent chance that you won't go into labor over the next 2 weeks (95-99%), but if it is positive, you have a higher chance of going into labor, but it isn't a lock (30% or maybe even lower).

@yogahh Is that normal for you ladies to just have pics/moments with celebrities?! There was another lady who's met Stephen King and one who sat next to Bucky (Winter Soldier). The closest I've ever got to meeting a celebrity was high fiving the Cookie Monster...

Eta: and it wasn't even the real cookie monster  Just some dude in a suit. Fake!

We have celebrities in the office quite a bit, but this is the first I've ran into one in the hallway.
Although once A-rod from the Yankees was in. He was about two cubicles from me with a gang of girls from the office surrounding him. I just stayed in my seat cuz I think he's a perv. He kept looking over like "what? Why are you adoring me too?"
This is amazing. Also I feel like in general most people that live in NYC don't get all that crazy about celebrities. There's a handful of actors that live in our neighborhood and I think they like that people just leave them alone. Although Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds lived in our old building a few years ago and he was avoiding getting in the elevator so he wouldn't be recognized and his adorable dog followed me in, so he was forced to talk to me.
So maybe Blake lively I would get excited about. I saw SJP once outside of the office (we share with huff post so they always have people too) which was a fun sighting. And "mr big" lives in the area and is always walking around. First time I saw him I blushed! But the best sighting was Brooke shields! I sooooo wanted to ask to take a pic with her but I couldn't be that person. But I agree, being a New Yorker you just play it cool like you see these people all the time.

And I "partied" with Paris Hilton at her record release party years ago, cause I was "cool like that" (not).

I honestly don't think I will go crazy if I see someone famous - I will probably just wave (because that's my first instinct if I recognise a face) - and only later realise who it was. I've done this plenty with the local 'celebrities'.

Eta: nope I lie - local celebrities is common in my areA so it doesn't count.

If I see someone really famous I'll probably try and act cool (and fail with some). I have no interest in the Kardashian clan or any of those B-class people - but if I were to see Damain Lewis, or Benedict Cumberbatch - that would be a good day and I will want to ask for a pic.

  • Totally OT, but one of my FB "friends" just posted that it is unfair to demonize Trump supporters (ok, fair enough) because...people who support Black Lives Matter are "just as bad as white supremacists". WHHHHAAAAAAA? And, unfriended!

    what????
